Such a gem..we really enjoyed our Sushi and drinks. The service was great and the food fantastic
I thought it was overall a good restaurant. The drink that comes in the brass pineapple are amazing. It’s a casual place to take your friends and family
had amazing service and an exceptional meal
will be back in the near future
We started in the bar area during Aloha Hour with great prices for drinks and appetizers then moved into the dining room. I had the special of short ribs and butterfish while my husband took advantage of the restaurant week menu. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Love the butter fish, always order it, never disappointed. Great service.
I had the three fish dinner, it was very good. Good wine list, Caymus is wonderful. My wife had Ahi Tuna
The food was good, don’t get me wrong but the prices were far too high. If each plate was at least $10 less I would have given it a much better review. I just felt price gouged for the portion size. Also, very sloooowww service. Dot plan on going back.
Roy’s has become one of our favorite restaurants with consistently excellent food, service, and pricing. This visit we both had their surf & turf special, with their ridiculously good butterfish with bok choy paired with fall apart short rib with whipped potatoes. Couldn’t be better.
We were celebrating our 51st Anniversary and we had wonderful service and wonderful food! We really enjoyed our evening!
Another great experience, awesome food and service. Thank you
First time I have been to lunch at a restaurant and been literally the only customers. Food service was oddly slow. Lunch meals did not have the same level of high quality and flavor that I am used to from the dinner service.
First time eating at a Roy's and I thought it was awesome seafood! A little on the pricey side but the food was outstanding.
As always the food was amazing. No place can beat the Butterfish entry. Our favorite. We've never had a bad or even a mediocre meal here.
We celebrated our 48th anniversary and they surprised us with a special congratulation note, flowers and champagne.
We have always enjoyed our dinners at Roy's. We drive 75 miles one way to enjoy the dinner so you know it is good.
We had a great experience Kim our server was attentive and very knowledgable made us feel welcome since we were from out of state and it was our 1st time there.
The food was outstanding and the special fixed menu (your special event) had something for everyone. All was excellent and my guest who had never been to Roy's was delighted with the food and the restaurant itself. Service unfortunately was slow but when it came, it was very good.
Every time I've been there I've had exceptional service and the meal is extraordinary. We go there for the special times!
Great Front desk and service were excellent the food was very flavorful and a good value for the money
This was my first time at Roy’s and it was an excellent experience. The quality of the food was amazing for the price. The servers were amazing and the ambiance was great.
Delicious food, fantastic service, and great drinks! Would recommend
We were seated immediately even though we were a few minutes early. Our server was attentive and thoughtful. I ordered the butterfish and it was perfect - moist and flavorful. My daughter ordered the salmon and loved it as well. We will definitely be back.
Roy's has always been one of our favorites for 20 years, and have made it our habit to dine exclusively at Roy's for our anniversaries. On this occasion we was not impressed with the taste of our selections and disappointed with the overall service...We figured it was a one off, because of our past experiences.
I have been to Roy's several times, but had never sat in the dining area; happy hour time was the best back then. Even after that, my wife and I had been there once for happy hour and she noted that the dining room was quiet and quaint. This visit I scheduled an anniversary dinner hoping that doing so wouldn't make me seem old (because of how close it is to our home, and how early our reservation was). Needless to say, my wife loved it, from her Hawaii Martini to her Dynamite Lump Crab Crusted Barramundi. The entire staff was awesome especially our waitress which called me half way home, to let me know that I had forgot our Roy's Picture they printed and took for us to document our moment. We will definitely be back, next year and years after that....if, my lovely wife allows us to do so. :) Thanks Roy's!
We had a wonderful time - great service, tasty food!
roys is awesome, especially when they are running their specials
Outstanding restaurant, with great servers and wonderful food
Outstanding fish on the menu...had the crusted mahimahi last week and the butterfish last night. Excellent. Another enjoyable aspect of the evening was our server, Chase, who is very personable, friendly, helpful and professional. He was attentive and made our dining a pleasure. Chase is an asset to Roy's and should be recognized.
Excellent food and beautiful presentation. Really good service. Roy's is always special.
Way too expensive, with limited ambiance and average service.
I could have had the same ambiance, service and food for much less
and still had a great evening.
Pineapple upside down cake was over baked. It happened once before too.
The food was not good no seasoning rice under cook veggies over cooked
I am never disappointed at Roys. They are particularly noteworthy when they are having specials such as this price fix menu for $30.00. A bargain for the quality and price
Always enjoyable. Outstanding good and service
Excellent food as always. The service is top notch. We always enjoy our meal and keep coming back.
Let me start by saying that I have had many outstanding dinners at the Chandler Roy’s. The server was great but it took the kitchen nearly an hour to get out the entrees resulting in a LONG dinner ... with kids saying they were starving every couple of minutes... over 2 hrs to get in and out. The server apologized and took off two kid’s meals (appreciated) but it still resulted in an experience that was far less than ideal.
Roy’s is our all time favorite. Service is impeccable and food is alway fresh, high quality and beautifully prepared. It is our go to place for special occasions or if we just want to treat ourselves to a quality, gourmet meal. This. Is it we celebrated our 41 st wedding anniversary.
I first enjoyed Roy's on Oahu in the mid 90's and was thrilled when they opened here. It's not an inexpensive restaurant but it's a wonderful restaurant. I've never been disappointed. Try the 'butter fish' and the Hawaiian Martine.
Our neighborhood friend group visited to take advantage of the MaHalo Monday special. There were 10 of us. It was a wonderful visit!! The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
It was an outstanding value for the price!!! Please consider continuing that special in the future!!
We love your restaurant but find the menu on "regular pricing" to be a bit "expensive"......albeit it is delicious.
For example, my favorite dish is the Butterfish, however, I find it difficult to pay a $41.00 price tag for it on a weekly basis or bi-weekly basis to enjoy that dish!
Therefore, it was fantastic to be able to enjoy that in the MaHalo Monday offering!!
Once again, many thanks for the special and your fabulous restaurant!!
BTW, our group eats out often and dines all over the city......... so we know our restaurants!!! : )
Roy's is a mainstay and delightful!!!
Food has gotten smaller, prices have gone up. Service was marginal.
The fish here is excellent, and on the four sampler plate each type of fish was cooked perfectly. The menu is a bit confusing about the sides and what actually comes with each of the different types of plates. Also, the dessert chef needs to back off on the sugar - the dessert was so sweet that the sugar overpowered the flavors. The wine selection is just average, and quite a bit overpriced. The fish is worth the journey here, just make it for a special occasion or a romantic evening.
