Service was outstanding! Food was really good! Gion our main server was very attentive with great personality.
The butterfish and short ribs combo was outstanding. Also loved the wedge salad.
Excellent food and service. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Great fun.
We celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary. I mentioned it in opentable and when we showed up Roy’s had a sign set up for us and gave us a special dessert! It was the best place to celebrate our anniversary and everything was wonderful!
The food, as always, was amazing. Our waiter was very helpful and informative as to what to choose from. All of the staff was friendly in wishing me a happy birthday.
I should have got the sea bass as recommended. It was amazing.
Traveled from NY to Scottsdale and a friend who lives in Tucson and I needed a place to meet up. First, the online menu intrigued us. The anticipation did not disappoint! We began with sushi - excellent qualifying color. The sea bass was spectacular with a melt in your mouth sauce. Side veggies were perfectly cooked. Friend had butterfish and raved. Capped with cappuccinos and chocolate lava cake. Sometime the cuisine is worth the money. Roy’s was excellent.
It was a great dinner and a very fun dining experience.
Love Roy’s. Food is alway delicious. The Sea Bass was best I’ve ever had. And their desserts are amazing. Can’t wait to go back
It was a much needed date night (been married almost 13 years) and the food was amazing. Our server made it even better, he was attentive, helpful and had such a positive attitude. I appreciate good service. The taste of the food is flavorful and hearty. We ordered the chocolate soufflé and it was amazing, perfect way to end our meal. I don’t know another restaurant that can top this dessert.
Roy's has impeccable service as always! Wait staff was attentive checked on us regularly, keeping us updated on our meals and drinks.
It was an anniversary occasion for us. Food and service really good, not to mention the company.
Predictably excellent. What’s not to like.
We were very unimpressed by this restaurant.
Inside was very basic and casual.
The food- not great at all. Steak over done. Too much sauce on steak. Seafood very average and not flavorful.
We will not be going back.
Food is still amazing and service was really good.
Great service with one exception. Mentioned we were there for a special birthday and…….nothing.
Food was good though the poke was very salty.
Sat outside traffic noise was high but that’s not their fault.
All in all just an ok experience.
All of our plates are Much Much better than the last time we were there. Very good food. Glad that they were able to turn this place around!
Repeat customers who always enjoy the great food and service. This most recent visit was for our anniversary and the server Timothy was outstanding listening to our requests and following up on the results. We will continue to enjoy dinners at Roys.
We tried two items off the chef menu, the calamari and the Burramundi. Both were delicious. We also tried two of the sushi rolls. They were tasty but had too much rice, that over powered the fillings.
Great seafood. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Always a pleasure.
Very excellent food and service. Atmosphere is relaxing.
The butterfish misoyaki was a sugary mess and almost inedible. Sugar marinade, sugar black rice, and sweet wasabi sauce spilling over into a now sweet vegetable lump. I almost got a cavity just looking at it. They should call it the candied fish plate.
Other than that, I think Mrs. Lincoln enjoyed the play.
Amazing food! Impeccable service and presentation. For my money it's as good as it gets!
We did have to wait a bit in spite of having a reservation. We do not mind that as we sat at the bar. Drink took a bit to get, but they are super busy. Drinks were delicious!
Service was great. Very Professional. Food was outstanding!
Lighting was perfect. Were sat near kitchen which was not perfect but all in all we definitely would go back!
Everything was delicious and our server was very attentive and made good suggestions. Noise level was higher than we would have liked but possibly because the restaurant was full and there were also kids speaking loudly.
We enjoyed the food very much. The short ribs are AMAZING!!!
Always enjoy our food experience at Roy's.
We had great service! The food was very good and the meal timing was perfect!
Went for the AZ restaurant week special. We ordered the recommended Wine with the special, ran out wasn't chilled. the lobster bisque soup wasn't warm wasn't cold... so so... Service and environment was good but for the cost we expect better.
Service was very attentive. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The seafood is really outstanding here. The sushi rolls to start were also impeccable.
Came for restaurant week but opted for the regular menu. Food was good. Ambiance could’ve been better. Alyssa was lovely!!
Made a reservation on open table for “outside” which was an option and was one of the main reasons we decided to go and celebrate my husband’s birthday. I know the patio as we have dined there before. Due to Covid this was our first time going out to dine expecting to be outside, but when we got there we were told that the patio will not be open until October. I was very disappointed as I did not have time to make any other reservation that evening at other restaurants. Not sure who dropped the ball, Open Table or Roy’s, but we were led to believe on the patio was available.
Great ambiance. Sever was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was a bit expensive but very good.
The food never disappoints
We went there for restaurant week and were disappointed. The food was underwhelming. We both had the Misoyaki Butterfish which was good but the Beef Short Ribs were a pale grey color and lacked seasoning. Some gravy would've been nice with the Short Ribs. We've been to the Palm Springs and Roy's Woodland Hills in Los Angeles locations and this one was very disappointing.
Lobster bisque was very late arriving and had a skin on top to prove it. Temperature was way below expectations for a bisque. After asking the server where the lobster was, he brought me a fresh bowl with hearty chunks with no skin or temperature problem. He was also working a large party in the next room, so obviously very busy. He came back once empty handed after we waited quite a while for Restaurant week menus. I wished I knew it was online. The fish was incredible! Stole the show. I had butterfish, my wife had salmon. Black rice was great, white rice plain. Desserts were decadent and filling.
Terrific food, wonderful service and atmosphere. We'll be going back soon!
Disappointed in the quality of the food at such a highly rated restaurant. The service was very good though.
They had a cute card and flowers on the table super nice.
Then the appetizer took forever.
Then had sesame seeds so they took it away after we had waited so long, so hungry. (Sesame seed and tree nut allergy)
Then they brought back the appetizer on the original plate without the ribs and sushi roll those had the sesame seeds.
(Should have used a new plate for no cross contamination)
Then the food followed and that took a long time.
Something was bitter in the mai tai and that may have been what made us both not feel too good after.
Never a disappointment at Roy's. Food was amazing, service was amazing and we will continue to patronize Roy's.
