Our dinner was fantastic..from sushi to butter fish to steak we have been here over a dozen times with wonderful service. Highly recommend!!!
Great job Roy’s!!!
As many times as we have been to Roy’s, we have never had a bad meal or bad service. I highly recommend Roy’s
Great meal and service!! Roy’s never disappoints.
The food was really good and is the reason we will return to Roy's in Bonita Springs. The downside was when we had to ask for new dessert spoons because they were dirty and our server brought the bill before we finished.
We had the $36 special meal that was a part of the southwest Florida Restaurant Week event. For some reason this event was not advertised as much as in previous years. But I think this meal and its price would have attracted a sizable number of people. The meal itself was extremely good and clearly was an invitation to return.
Service was pretty disappointing. Ordered a bottle of wine and a vodka tonic. We were brought the wine and a vodka and soda. Come on, people! How tough is that? The manager quite rudely interrupted our ordering to inform us abruptly that we did not qualify for the $40 off coupon we had brought—setting the tone for the rest of the meal. We had to ask—twice--for the gratis edamame that usually appear with drinks service. We asked to substitute mahi mahi for swordfish in one meal and were informed by our by-then humiliated server that her manager informed her that there would be a five dollar upcharge. After all that? Really? At this point, two of us were pretty grumpy. The server said never mind—she may have paid that $5 from her paycheck. When the bill was delivered, it took so long that one of us got up to see what the holdup was. The manager was, pretty unprofessionally we thought, flirting with one of the other employees. (Fire that manager!) I loved the food, every bite. The Korean salmon bibimbap was a revelation. But I will not return to Roy's Bonita Springs. It was a pretty miserable experience, except for the food.
Have dined at Roy's many times and usually had a great experience. This time the food was below standard. Mahi mahi was overcooked, lobster pot stickers we greasy, seared ahi was not really seared. Sad to have a such a great place previously have so many problems.
As always Roy's is a treat for a special dinner. Food quality is always superb, and service is exemplary.
Pricey and inconsistant. Dishes vary from fantastic to so-so! Servers apologetic for delays but well trained to make you happy! Need to focus on quality of base menu! Not everyone goes for TNT swordfish (10+). Don't get reservation during happy hour if you just want dinner or do go at happy hour for some bar craziness. P.S. Try to update the menu on your web site more frequently and to serve what's on it!!!!
Great variety of tastes..."leftovers" were just as impressive the next day...
Some tables did not have a tablecloth (ours).
hot towels would be appreciated.
Bus boy picked up the table, dishes, etc. and left one person still eating. Should have waited until everyone was finished.
had to ask for side dish at each setting.
Bourbon oldfashhion cocktail was made with an olive????
I consider Roys above average and this is disappointing.
Our waiter was a stiff! Food great!
Service and setting very good. Easy to talk, tables not too close. Food pretty good but way overpriced for what you get. My husband sent steak back TWICE to get it well done. Whipped potatoes soupy and tasteless. My shellfish sample was a lobster tail, 4 shrimp and 1 lone scallop for $49. Wedge salad and chocolate souffle excellent. We rarely spend $150+ for dinner for 2, and expect more for our money. This used to be our go-to anniversary spot. They've expanded bar seating, so happy hour now is likely a better value than dining room.
Great! Good service , great food and the new atmosphere is fabulous
Michael Riccio provided wonderful service. Appreciate Roy's providing a booth in such short notice when our reservation was made. Truly helped in the dining comfort for my mom's back. Thank you!
All was good! Service for serving of the food was slow! I did not attribute it to our server,Whitney, She was excellent!
I believe the kithchen was respondsible for the slow service!
We absolutely love this restaurant. And the fact that they have a waiter named Jamar, makes it all that much more special. It was a last-minute decision to head somewhere for some fish. Roys was at the top of the list. We are able to get a table outdoors, and it appeared that we were the only ones interested in sitting out on their wonderful patio. Everybody else was inside in the air-conditioning. It was a great evening. The TNT mahi-mahi is nothing short of exceptional. We will be back soon.
Billy, our waiter, was very helpful, friendly, and informative. Interesting Hawaiian twist on sushi rolls and other island influenced dishes. Clean, modern, but still friendly dining room. Looked like the bar could be hopping in season.
Nice upscale restaurant. Quality of food, preparation, tastiness of sauces and presentation all top notch. Initial service was lacking as there was a mix up as to which server was assigned our table. Someone should have noticed that no one was taking care of us and this nearly ruined our experience. But once things were straightened out our server sincerely apologized for the mix-up and promised to make it up to us. From that point on we were very pleased. Great place for special occasions.
On a friend's recommendation, went to Roy's for the first time and loved the QUALITY of food, service and ambiance! Delighted that such a jewel of a restaurant is within 15 minutes of our home! Highly recommended!!
We went for sizzle week and the portions were normal size, the food was outstanding and the service perfect. They’ve renovated making it larger and now it feels somewhat sterile.
After hearing that Roy’s had been redecorated we were anxious to see it, unfortunately we were seated in a side room immediately to the left when you entered the restaurant. We didn’t get to see the main room. Dinner was very good, as was the service.
The food was excellent. Cole our server was top notch. If you are in the area you have to go. If you're not in the area, out have to go. It's worth the drive.
Went for Sizzle Week. Everything was excellent. However we were disappointed that we had to ask for the Sizzle Week menus. Otherwise would not have been offered them.
The new bar is a great addition however the lighting is much too bright making the room feel cold and cafeteria like.
Hostess was not too enthusiastic. Standing by the hostess stand looking bored. Our 5 menus were disgusting with stains and one had a hair in it. Pretty gross.
The server was very good and the food was very good as well. The manager never once stopped by the table to check on us. The restaurant was not busy and our check and tip was almost 400.00. What am I missing here? It is the start of summer.
Will not be giving a favorable mention, recommendation on social media.
We had an 8 pm reservation- was seated timely.
Crowd in restaurant was thinning out.
Drinks obtained. Felt a bit rushed initially - asked for a moment- server good with that.. placed order.
Kitchen person brought food out - kinda banged the plates down / not very graceful/ in a hurry feel/did caution on heat of plates.
Short ribs - great. Roy’s trio - very dry salmon charred, tuna good, butterfish not as delicate as I had remembered from before - sauces good but scant.
Will be back - but disappointed in trio.
Nice change of pace to the traditional American fair. Great flavor and professional service. Atmosphere is social and relaxing.
We had a delicious dinner and our waiter was very friendly and prompt. We will definetly be returning!
There was not enough sauce on my butter fish. The waiter did not come over to check so I could not ask for more. They should really check a minute or so after you get your food.
Two couples, great drinks, food and fun. The remodeling is spectacular, could by Miami or Las Vegas or San Diego - anxious to bring friends there.
One our favorites, great variety and reliable quality.
The beef tartare was a highlight of an outstanding meal.
The halibut special was a bit pricey. And no more poke bowl???? Was one of my favorites.
Food was great.
Waitress was very pleasant and good.
Only misstep was that we did not get water until we asked two times.
The women were cold and the crowd was very loud.
The food was delicious as usual and the service was excellent. We look forward to coming back soon.
Great food, great service, great location did not wait for a place at the bar
Waited 20 minutes after reservation time for our table.
Nice restaurant, friendly people and good food. Good job, Roy.
