We went here for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was delicious! We had to try three appetizers. We got the Wagyu beef sushi roll, the pork ribs, and the chicken spring rolls. The spring rolls were not the best but the other two apps were AMAZING. Our meals were the shellfish sampler and the steak and lobster and all of that was delicious. Oh and their cocktails were soooo yummy.

The service is unmatched!! Everybody was so attentive! We had sushi, Chilean Sea Bass (exceptional) and the pineapple cake! All just perfect and still thinking about it a day later!

the bartender used coffee brandy to make a Black Russian (twice), or watered-down Kaluha.

Server (Darrell) was outstanding, food was delicious as always. My wife thought your recipe for Butterfish was better in the past (4 years ago), although she enjoyed this dish as well. We will definitely come back, just not order Kaluha drinks.

It had been many years since our last visit to Roy's and were looking forward to our recent visit. The food and service lived up to our remembrances. Dining at Roy's is not inexpensive so we judge the entire experience by whether it was worth the cost. In our case that included a hour drive to get there and I am happy to say that our dinner was worth the time and money. Everything we ate was delicious, from the appetizer to dessert. The scallops over black rice were just right--the sweetness of the seared scallops were offset by the saltiness of the rice. The macadamia crusted Mahi-mahi was cooked to perfection was were the accompanying asparagus and red potatoes. We would definitely go again.

We will come back for dinner and hopeful that the service is much better. Our server that day was nice but really don't want to be ask anything about the menu. Whatever we mention, he only says, "do you want it?" He left us without appetizer plates after he served them. Didn't come back to clear the table for our main meal. Reminded us that it takes 20 mins for dessert that if we want anything we should order now. We like the food, so we will give it another try.

I had a happy time at Roy's for mine and my girlfriend's 3rd anniversary. The food tasted stellar and the surprise souffle for the occasion was amazing! I'd definitely come again for another occasion.

The food was delicious and the restaurant was lovely. But, Roy's was went above and beyond what I hoped. The hostess and our waiter were so kind during this birthday lunch we celebrated while on a business trip. We were greeted with a Happy Birthday and then seated at a table adorned with flower blossoms. The hostess took a picture and gave us a printed out copy for a keepsake. Then at the end of the meal my friend received a delicious birthday dessert.

I would definitely recommend Roy's. We sat at the bar where Val made our delicious drinks. Once ordered the food came out prompt, hot and amazing. Celevrated my birthday. Had the pineapple upside down cake for dessert. It was just right!

I came for a Valentine's Day dinner. I had a reservation, which wasn't honored, I was told to wait it would be a half an hour. We sat at the service bar, I went over to the alcohol bar to get drinks and sat for ten minutes before I was acknowledge, and only then because I interrupted someone. It takes a second to say: "I'll be right with you." My date didn't want a big meal and aim glad, because I don't want to spend a lot of money at a place where I felt less than welcome. One a positive note our waitress was friendly and helpful. I can't imagine I would ever come back.

Roy's was great! Sat around the kitchen and got to see in, which was a fun experience. Food was delicious, recommend the sushi and the appetizer sampler and we got the 4 fish entree sampler to try as much as we could. Would definitely go back!

It was my daughter’s birthday. They did a good job with that and the dessert they presented to her was delicious.
After placing our drink orders, we waited 30 minutes for them to arrive.
After having our drinks, we ordered a bottle of wine. Again, there was a very long wait and only to be told they did not have the wine we ordered. We ended up having to order a more expensive wine.
Forget about trying to have a conversation with our table mates. It was so loud that my husband had to take his hearing aids out.
We expected more for the money. The food was just ok.
Won’t return.

The evening after Valentine’s Day was still super busy. We waited 30 minutes for our reservation, then quite a wait for our drinks. We also had a long wait for our food. All our meals were super. We will go back, but home things run more smoothly in the future.

Despite having a reservation we waited almost half an hour for a table. Once seated it took us more than two hours to complete our dinner service. We waited 45 minutes for uncooked sushi roll for our appetizer and who knows how long for our dinner. My dinner was one of the samplers and my Ahi tuna was cooked well done but I didn't want to send it back because we had waited so long. Our server did apologize but disappeared for long periods of time and no one offered anything for our inconvenience.

Waited 40 minutes to be seated for our 7pm reservation. Our waitress couldn’t be bothered with our table until we ordered a bottle of wine, then our service became so-so. My recommendation: avoid unless you are 45+, white, dripping in over-priced perfume, or have at least 2 fur coats. You will gladly be overlooked until you have inconvenienced the front end manager by asking when your group will be called.

I had a great pre-birthday dinner at Roy’s. This restaurant is an old favorite so I was thrilled to have butterfish again but also that the staff took the time to read my Opentable request for the chef’s bar. Everyone was so nice. Really great spot and I’m glad you all have survived the changes of the neighborhood.

We had been to Roy's in the past and had a great experience- This was definitely an 'off' night for them. Service was horrible, waited a long time for everything- getting seated at the table (had a reservation), getting our food, drinks etc. Will likely not go back

A pleasant evening was spent at Roy’s in a post Valentine’s Day celebration. The food and service (Alfred) were excellent. The restaurant was full and noisy but fortunately we were seated at a window. The entire staff was attentive and made the evening experience a great one.

Roy's is a great place and we had a wonderful time. We had the Singapore special and it was not very good. In the past, we have eaten there and the food was excellent. We will definitely go back but the Singapore special was flop.

Had to wait for seating, request for flowers at my table didn't happen, over crowded for reservations, should've just walked in off the street, food was luke warm, even though the plates were hot, and you could tell that food preparation was rushed, and portions didn't match the price presented, atmosphere was okay, but seating was congested, had to over talk my neighbor so my opposing party could hear me speakout for conversation, maybe I was expecting a little more one on one attention from our server, and not just a number for what I paid for in that dinner. Not complaining, just my experience. Thanks, Al Taylor.

Vday, Mother’s Day, and NYE are the busiest days in the biz ... How were you not prepared for the volume?! I was barely acknowledged when checking in. The bartender told me my drinks would be “a while” because she needed to wash glasses. You had a pre-fixed menu and still everything was slow to come out ... things came out of order ... our entrees were brought to us three times, but were sent back, as the previous course never made it to us. Our server mentioned being on the floor for four days ... why is he working on one of the busiest days of the year?! Valet parking ... they lost my keys and we waited for 45 minutes to leave. While our meal was comp’d, and that was appreciated, we shouldn’t have gotten to that point.

Staff more for volume ... make better decisions on who works these nights ... and definitely have a serious conversation with your valet parking vendor!

Do not go to Roy's on a busy night. We visited Roy's on Valentine's day and it mostly a mess. We reserved over a month ahead and they managed to lose our reservation. Because their seats are prearranged according to the reservation list, we were told that we had to sit at the bar area. We were given an unhelpful apology and a shoulder shrug by the original hostess and left to deal with their mistake. Thankfully a manager sorted it out and we were eventually seated, but only after a long wait at the bar (we were starving by this point). Then the waiter service was extremely slow. We were there were nearly three hours and we even had our deserts to go to save time. The waiter was pretty much absent the entire time and another server ended up bringing half of our dinner (who initially did not know who's dinner he was carrying and was going table to table so we had to flag him down). When the food arrived, it was pretty obvious the kitchen rushed it. For example, one of our salad (Caesar) literally had three lettuce leafs on it with a lot of shredded cheese. These are things that are not acceptable in any restaurant, let alone a high end one with a Valentine menu that averaged 90+dollars for each individual. Absolutely unacceptable. We will say though, that whenever the staff did engage us, they were very friendly. But this was about the only thing that they got right that night.

Amazing Valentine’s Day dinner!! We enjoyed every aspect of the evening. Great staff and delicious food. The experience was exactly what we expected, we felt pampered and taken care of even though it was very busy. We were not at all rushed and the timing between courses was just the right amount of time to allow you to enjoy and savor the taste and made you want the next course. It just got better with each each course. Excellence all the way!!

Realized it was Valentine's Day but should have been prepared! Valet parking was unbelievably bad! Some waited for over an hour. I got my key but ended up searching for my own cat in the garage! Such a bad experience Roy's is off the list and I have been there before. Not again!

Danny our server made our evening super special by talking us through the menu and making great recommendations. The assortment canoe gave us a preview of the flavors to come. Because we love shishto peppers we ordered the tempura shrimp and they did not disappoint. Entrees consisted of Cod, Filet Mignon, but the Jumbo Tiger Shrimp dish was our tables favorite. Can't wait to return!!!!
