Went on a double date after Disneyland. It was actually near our hotel and a we were looking for a fancy restaurant to dine at. This is a perfect place place to go to. Unfortunately when I dined, their chef did experience some delays but we were offered complimentary appetizers while we waited for our meals. One of the best services I’ve experienced.

Bought a Groupon which was a good value except for the dessert. It was a very hard chocolate log. I’ve been to Roy’s many times and have ordered off the regular menu which has always been outstanding.

Great location, especially if you sit outside - highly recommended at nighttime as it's heated and not noisy at all out there. Delicious food options, great service. I would come eat here again.

Overpriced and food there has downhill since last time I ate there 5 years ago. It’s a corporate chain overpriced and mediocre.

Service was outstanding! My server was knowledgeable, polite, and energetic. Unfortunately, my dish was extremely salty and had to be comped. The server warned me it has been known to be salty, and I typically don't mind salt, but this was beyond a tolerable level after a few bites. He notified the manager who came over and tried to do anything she could to make up for it. Again, the service was magnificent and all of this was done without me having to ask, which says a lot about how attentive the customer service is. The portions are on par for the price so no complaints on that end.

As always the food at Roy's was fantastic. Absolutely love the Asian fusion with creative sushi rolls, salads, entrees and desserts. Even though the Asian dishes and seafood are all fantastic, I always go for their ribeye steak. It is my absolute favorite! We always argue about the best dessert which most people lean towards the chocolate soufflé, but the pineapple upside down cake is the bomb!

This particular restaurant always has great service and is very accommodating to various requests. We originally made a reservation for 6 people and ended up with 9. They didn't blink and eye and made room for all of us even though it was a busy night. Greatly appreciated it!

Wow! We love Roy’s. We come here often because of the amazing service. Our waiter Jenner was awesome! Lots of suggestions on drinks and dish to try. You can go wrong with anything on the menu. The Butterfish is one of my favorites, as well at the short ribs. Best drink is the Hawaiian Martini. Always have the desert, pineapple upside down cake. Your welcome!!

We come to California twice a year and always hit up Roy’s - once in Anaheim, and once in San Diego on the Marina. It’s a tradition. This year, we were really disappointed at the Roy’s Anaheim. We were a party of five, and yes, it was a crowded night, but it always is when we come to Roy’s for our yearly convention reunion meal. This time they had a lot of trouble getting the food out on time. The server had to come apologize several times. We knew it wasn’t his fault. I ordered the tasting menu, figuring since it was a set course they should have no trouble with it. The first app was good. The second, a lobster spring roll, was terrible. The roll was falling apart and there was maybe one tiny piece of lobster in a mess of noodles and soggy rice paper. A friend ordered the lobster bisque and had to send it back for tasting off. The entree was a steamed pesto whitefish. The fish was over cooked and rubbery and tasteless. The best thing on the dish was the rice with furikake. I was incredibly disappointed and will not come back next year.

Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The food all tasted great, but unfortunately something made my fiance sick and even managed to give me a slight upset stomach (if something bothers me in the slightest, it's pretty much guaranteed to ruin a normal person's digestive system).

The up selling was pushed too hard. And we felt shunned upon when we said no thank you to everything we didn't want. Our bill was still nearly $100 for 2 people as it was. The free edamame came after our entrées. And that was only after the server apologized fo it not arriving in a timely manner but then seemed surprised when we still wanted it. We felt like he was sad we were taking table space in his section because we weren't spending enough. He dropped the check practically before I finished my sentence saying no thank you to the dessert.

The Roy's in Anaheim was a disappointment. The restaurant was not very busy (Thursday night) but we waited almost 40 minutes for the food. The food was just ok, but I have tasted better sushi at my local grocery store. The decor/ambiance/price really sets you up for disappointment once the food finally arrives -- but you might just be too starving to notice at that point.

WOW!!!! I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The food and service were unparalleled. Might be the best pizza we have EVER had. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. The pizza was perfectly tended in the wood fire. The charcuterie anti pasta platter was a terrific. I wish we lived nearby because it would become a regular stop for us. Can’t wait to come back in town to visit again.

We showed up early for our reservation, and we were still seated late.

It took over an hour for our food, and all we got was a mumbled, “Sorry for the delay.” By the time the food came, we weren’t hungry anymore.

It was my husband’s 50th birthday celebration...what a way to ruin the evening.

The bill was well over $300, with no consideration of the time taken nor our time wasted. Our after dinner plans were ruined.

They did give us a slap in the face...I mean a $20 gift card to use on our next visit.

Yeah right, like that’s gonna happen.

Down the street from Disneyland, Roy's is a quiet escape from the other chain restaurants in the area. We've been here a couple times, both times have been good. Our first visit we stuck to the sushi menu with a variety of rolls and sashimi. Definitely good, but nothing outstanding. Our second visit we ate off the regular menu. The fish was all good, but overall quite pricey for what you get. The servers are attentive and take care of you well. We'll be back, because there's usually a shorter wait here. Maybe that's because it's more upscale than neighboring Cheesecake Factory and Bubba Gump's, even showing up sweaty from a day at Disney and donning T-shirts, we don't feel out of place at Roy's.

Great food with some very different flavors. You can tell that take great pride in their food, presentation, and service. Although service can be slow, but worth the wait. They treat kids very well by calling them by name, special kids menu including appetizer and dessert have their name written on the plate in chocolate sauce.

I have always enjoyed Roy's and this evening was no exception. Managing Partner Tim Lowenberg does a great job of overseeing situations as they arise. One of the members of our party of four got stuck at her office and kept us informed that she was going to be quite late. I kept Tim apprised of the situation as I didn't want to disrupt their operation. Tim was quite flexible with our plans and our friend ultimately was able to have a lovely dinner. The food was wonderful (as expected) but the topper on the evening was to have Amy as the staff member that took care of us. Amy exudes class, charm and genuine friendliness as she handles the tasks of taking care of a party of three ladies and a guy while they dine. I will definitely be back to enjoy more lovely times at Roy's Anaheim. (As I reread my review, I must say that I do not know Tim or Amy. My review is solely based on the great attitude and service that we received.)

This was my first time at this Roys. I've been to several across the mainland and this one I'd have to say was a notch above my more recent experiences at the others - I had a 14 hour work day and when Roys popped up on OpenTable I thought, SCORE!" I came for the Mai Tai. Roys has the greatest Mai Tais - almost had the Hawaiian martini because that are great as well. If you haven't had the Roys Mai Tai - believe me, it's not your typical watered down frufru girly drink. Sure it's on the sweeter side, but it pack a punch and this one I had was spot on!

And a stellar deal during late night aloha hour!

The prize, though, was the seared ahi - it was perfectly prepared rare and was sooooo fresh - I don't think it could have tasted any fresher - well maybe if chef prepared it dockside after butchering the fish right off the boat - it was that clean and fresh.

Service was excellent - i travel a lot for my job and in general good, friendly, unpretentious service anywhere is on the decline. Roys Anaheim was a very pleasant break to that trend.

Guaranteed I will return next week when I'm in Anaheim again.
