We've been here twice, the first time was amazing. I would give five out of five stars all the way through if it wasn't for the second time. We will try it again because it was so amazing the first time we went, we were shocked on the food quality and service the second time.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Roy's as something of a tradition for us. This was our 41st. The staff were so welcoming and had a card on our table to celebrate our anniversary. The chef surprised us with a small appetizer for us and later with a small dessert to celebrate our anniversary. My wife ordered the jumbo tiger prawns and I ordered the misoyaki "butterfish". Both were cooked to perfection and the presentation was excellent. All the staff were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. The manager stopped by twice to wish us a happy anniversary and to see that we were pleased with the food and service. The restaurant was quiet enough for us to talk without raising our voices and calm enough for us to feel relaxed throughout our dining experience. We highly recommend Roy's for any special occasion or a special night out.
Dinner was delicious! Enjoyed dinner! Great atmosphere.
During my stay at Anaheim, I have a craving for fish. Roy’s Anaheim pop up on my search. I decided to cancel my reservation at a French restaurant near Laguna and go to Roy’s.
I was attended by Q, who is friendly and helpful. He highly recommended the Misoyaki butterfish served with Bak Choy.
The other option was Roy’s Trio : Hibachi grilled Atlantic Salmon, Blackened island Ahi and the Misoyaki Butterfish. I decided to go for the trio. The texture of butterfish tasted amazing. I’m not a big fan of salmon but loved this dish. Lobster bisque is a generous portion of succulent lobster with Thai influence.
Do drop by at Roy’s when you are visiting Disneyland or Anaheim
Too noisy, a lot of children . It is not recommended for a date place. Food is fair, nothing spectacular . Will not come back
My girlfriend and I dined at Roy’s Waikiki twice during our vacation at Honolulu and it was a superb experience! Fast service and good food. When we dined here at Roy’s Anaheim, we were completely disappointed on how slow their service is and the food is like a whatever. It would be unfair to compare their cooking to Roy’s waikiki.
Very good food at very expensive prices. $16 Lemon Drop Martini?
Odd that a restaurant with these prices does not offer, as a matter of policy, a bread basket.
Came here for my 10 year old son's bday, they have a solid kids nenu, so he enjoyed it. They printed out a card to acknowledge his bday as well so very thoughtful. I had the surf and turf, good filet, not great but lobster was excellent. My wife had a coconut sushi role and other sushi, very good. My son has chicken fingers and received a birthday sundae. All in all, really solid meal.
Thank you, Traci T., for providing such excellent service! You're the best! We always like coming back here because of you.
Our go to and favorite place when we are in Anaheim. Excellent food and service as always.
Great food and very clean. Waiter blew us off one we said we just wanted water and no wine/drinks. Service was not that great.
It was fantastic as always they are the best.
Beyond the very long wait at the front door, (why make your customers wait so long at the front door, when you have so many empty tables?) Hostess did not care that we had a reservation.
Table service was OK, no refills on water and non alcoholic beverages?
Food was delicious.
Hawaiian Fusion food is something to experience at Roy's - they get it right!
1st time here. I brought my wife here for our 3rd Anniversary. I was debating on Roy's and a couple other places. I am very glad I came to Roy's. We were treated so good. Our server Traci was wonderful. Everyone made our night very memorable. I just had to talk to the manager and congratulate him on his staff , the food and just the over all experience. The food was delicious. I will definitely come here again and not just for a special occasion but just to come and eat the great food.
I enjoyed the short rib and chicken spring rolls - delicious. My husband enjoyed the caterpillar rolls. Most importantly, we had great service from Traci T.. Thank you for making our experience a great one!
Normally we have fantastic dinners here. on our last visit we chose the pirce fixe and were truly disappointed. the server suggested the ahi and it was terrible. which is saying something as Roy's food is usually off the charts. I think we just learned our lesson about price fixe
The pineapple upsidedown cake was burned. ) :
Not a great experience this time, will think twice before we return to this location.
The server wasn't super friendly and we waited and waited for our check. The ahi actually made my husband sick - SO much wasbi, it was almost too hot to eat. so sad, so expensive and so disappointing this time. Next time I'll order my usual - misoyaki butterfish to make sure we're not disappointed. The appetizer ribs were very good though.
Poor hostess staff. First impression terrible and continued through seating. Food was lukewarm. Won’t go again since there are numerous adjacent alternatives.
Taking grandson to Disneylany
Food was not very good. Loaded with butter and spices. Tuna was over cooked. They had to remake.
We eat here often. Food is excellent. However, on this occasion, and on too many others, the service is agonizingly slow. It was not the fault of the server. It just comes out of the kitchen very slowly. We will return in spite of this.
Looking for the unusual spot to awaken your Hawaiian Fusion taste buds, than look no further! Roy's is the place for you!
Roy's has gotten extremely expensive yet the quality has not increased with the price. $25-30 for the entree would have been reasonable, not $45-50. The service was very good, however, which helped. The Lobster Mac-n-cheese was an absolute rip off. $25 for a small side of it was not worth it. It was bland and dry and very lacking in lobster for the price. We won't be returning.
Great service. And great Bartenders
There was a bit of a wait even with a reservation for booth but it was worth the wait. Place was great and very tasty food. Service was attentive. Would come back.
Such a delicious meal, awesome server and great feeling all around.
The sushi appetizers were fabulous. Our main dishes were disappointing. The scallops with prosciutto were cooked to a rubbery texture. The scampi entree was beautifully plated and I was so disappointed with how overcooked they were. The chef needs a refresher on when to take shell fish off the grill.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had! Having been to Roy’s many times at other locations, I had somewhat high expectations but this place was by far the best of them all. Service was stellar. Our server was awesome. Lots of people touched our table. Food was delicious. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, they gave us a really sweet birthday dessert with candle. Loved that special touch. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing service and food. This is always the place we go for any special occasion. Absolutely second to none.
Great food, waiter took time to explain the options. I got the ribs and they were delicious, will definitely visit again.
Butterfish. Enough said.
We arrived for a 5:30 reservation and there were many open tables. Had we known about the happy hour we may have been content to sit in the bar and take advantage of the happy hour prices. Service was good. Food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait.
The food was just not up to the standards for what they charge. If you are going to spend this kind of money go to Steakhouse 55 or Morton’s.
This is our third visit in the past two years. The first time was December 2016, food and service were excellent. The next two visits food and service slipped, this last time the value was very poor. There must have been a change in head chef, the flavor and presentation have slipped, disappointing!! We won’t be back...
The food is delicious but save room for dessert 😁
Pricey but delicious. The best meal we had in Anaheim. Very accommodating for children but still fancy as well. Highly recommend!
