Celebrating a birthday. Sheila is a fantastic, personable server. Portions have gotten ridiculously small, including the “ signature “ desserts. Don’t think I’ll frequent any longer.

Food was good and drinks great. Little over priced but what isn’t in California? Service was exceptional. Definitely recommend the short ribs and butterfish. Both were fabulous!

Our server Barbi was attentive and personable. We usually find your menus creative and interesting. We’ve certainly never had a mediocre meal at Roy’s - and always an excellent value.

Came on valentine's day with my wife. Arrived early with an 8:45pm reservation and was seated promptly at 8:40pm. Food menu was limited to the valentines day 4 course special. A few minutes after we placed our order, the waitress came and alerted us that the kitchen was backed up and food might take a little longer than usual. Waited about 45 minutes before the first course came out. Spicy tuna roll was nice and crunchy. Flavor was decent. Chicken Spring rolls lacked chicken, and was more like an egg roll. Waited about another 30 minutes for the second course. Cesar salad was deconstructed, meaning the lettuce wasn't cut, but the taste was fine (typical cesar salad). The lobster bisque had a kick to it, and honestly tasted like thai curry with decent size chunks of real lobster. Had to wait another 30 minutes for the 3rd and main course and started eating around 10:35pm. Wife got the filet and lobster. The filet was a little dry, but cooked to the desired medium rare. Lobster was cooked well and very good. I got the new york strip but I wasn't impressed. The lobster mac n cheese however, was very good.
It was too late into the night to enjoy our 4th course (dessert) so we took it to go.
Our overall experience was very unpleasant. Although the waitress was very nice and kept stopping by and saying sorry for the wait, it seemed like nothing was done to ensure they cared for their customers. We looked around and others who were seated around the same time looked frustrated as they waited. We were at the Roys for over 2 hours. Their parking validation only covers 1 hour. I thought it would have been nice if they at least offered to cover for our drinks or compensate for the additional 1 hour I had to pay for parking, but we got nothing.
I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but this was our first and probably the last time we would ever visit this restaurant.
My only recommendation for this place: Stay away during special/busy days (Valentine's day)

The Valentine 4 course meal kind off sucked! I ordered the Lobster and Filet mignon, (includes soup, appetizers and dessert). Took so long for each course food to come, the filet mignon was dry and boring presentation, lobster is so-so. The mango mojito cocktail is okay. Didn’t bother to eat the dessert there as we were sitting down for 2 1/2 hrs already, opted to take it home so I don’t know if its a good dessert. My back was so sore from sitting too long in there. Roy’s let me down this time. I used to love this place

We’ve been there many times but this time was very disappointing because Miso soup was very salty. Three of us ordered but couldn’t eat because it was so salty. And main entree is our favorite misoyaki butterfish but sauce they used was different than before and price was up almost twice. It sure wasn’t worth going for sure. We are thinking of not going there anymore. Appetizer and dessert was good.

I love this restaurant. I have been here several times and they are always consistent with food and service. The meal was delicious, but above all our server was excellent. The staff there is really on top of it.
