   One of our favorite restaurants ever. 3rd time here, and 3rd time our meal was outstanding. The chefs do an outstanding job with preparing each and every item on the menu. Definitely a pricey meal, but at least we never regret the amount we paid given the quality of the food.

   Such a wonderful night at Roy's. Everything was exceptional. The scallops were the best scallops I have ever had and the steak practically melted in my mouth. I would recommend going here for any special occasion.

   First of all, the location and parking at the Anaheim GardenWalk, though not particularly close to my home, is very easy to access from I-5. Our waiter, Michael, did a great job with explaining the various food and drink choices, and making suggestions based upon our preferences. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and a table placard indicated this to the wait staff. It also provide us with a complimentary dessert, in addition to the fantastic chocolate soufflé we ordered in advance. The two appetizers (Lobster Potstickers & Crispy Wok Fried Shrimp Tempura) and entrees (Filet Mignon & Classic Combo) were all excellent, and definitely items we would order again and recommend. Over all, the experience was outstanding, and the GardenWalk a nice area to stroll through before and after your meal.

   Roy's is a sure bet for a nice meal. We come here often. The only negatives were we were squished next to another large table where my chair was up against the back of the other table's chair. There was plenty of other tables, so they could have moved us or recommended another table. The server also messed up the order but it got fixed although we had to wait. Other than those two issues, we had a great time and food was excellent.

   Our family loves to go to Roy’s to celebrate special occasions, and last night was no different. We celebrated our twin’s high school graduation and had the absolute worst service possible. Our waiter was completely clueless; it was like he didn’t care. Maybe it was because we were a large party so gratuity was included? He put in the wrong order for my husband’s dinner so he had to wait while we ate until his mail came much later. He continually forgot to bring us our drinks from the bar until we would ask him where they were and he would act like it was the first time we were ordering them. He didn’t bring a soy sauce or chopsticks with the sushi and we had to flag him down after 10 minutes of trying. He then questioned: oh, you want soy sauce and chopsticks with your sushi? Has he ever worked in this restaurant before? Or eating sushi before? He couldn’t  get our gift cards to work, which I suspect was human error, which was really unfortunate because the bill was so large and we had to save the gift cards for the occasion. We had to track him down at the end of the meal to try to get our parking validated. It was such a shame  and disappointment because the food was delicious and Roy’s has been a special place for our family since my husband and I first died at Roy’s in Hawaii on our honeymoon. But, it was such a bad experience on such a special occasion that I think it was our last visit.

   Service was poor, something was off with our server had to wait half way through eating our food to get a second drink then watched the waiter walk off with our drinks going another direction, on our bill we were charged for the drinks we did not get. It's too bad the food was great.

   Waiter was arrogant and responded to my request for no MSG that this was the same as asking for no salt. Well that is not so and if it was - can they not make their food with less salt for those with high blood pressure. MSG is a specific sodium preservative - and if they cannot accommodate those with a sensitivity to MSG why do they ask if there are any good sensitivities or allergies? I miss Roy’s in Pasadena- better food and service.

    My first time at this restaurant and I am very impressed! The food was incredible, especially the ribs and lobster bisque appetizers. The Sea Bass just melted in my mouth with the bacon crumbles adding even more flavor. Others had the Butter fish which looked incredible and one more had the filet. I managed a few bites of that and could not believe haw tender. Well worth your time and money!

    Overall the dining main room reminded me of an upscale PF Changs. The original Roys was bought by Outback Steakhouse and then sold to Ohana Restaurants. Sad to see it was all downhill from the early days. Mediocre sushi rolls to lobster potstickers 🥟. Service was still very good but a-lot of up selling for drinks and deserts.

    Food was delicious. Literallly everything we tried and all the sides were spectacular. Everything was seasoned great and tasted like there was passion behind the food. Cons Take away the wine glasses on the white clothed tables and this place looks like a Disney cafe. Chairs and booth looked like you were seating at an all you can eat buffet. The U-shaped booths’ seats were made of this vinyl looking leather which is fine but it sticks to you. Trying to get out of the table without taking the table cloth with you was balancing act within itself. Conclusion. I will DEFINITELY come here again the seating and the theme wasn’t why I came here. Food will bring you back here alone. Attention to detail on the food was superb. A+++

    My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Roy's. We have been going to various Roy's establishments to celebrate this occasion and have never been disappointed. The meal was outstanding and Michael, our server, was very attentive. They acknowledged our special occasion and provided a nice thank you note along with a complimentary dessert to share. We will always celebrate this occasion at Roy's. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

    We have not been to this Roy's for a while and were pleased to see there was a new Managing Partner and Chef Partner. The experience was great all around. Our server, Jibri, was attentive, friendly, and always had a smile. We enjoyed talking with him and he is a great addition to the staff at the restaurant. Service was excellent throughout our visit, water glasses never reached half full, empty plates were immediately removed, wine was regularly refilled, and each course came out in short order. Food was excellent with only one thing slightly lacking...the petite lobster tail was cooked perfectly and fresh, though I think would have been better with just butter and lemon. We will be back again sooner than later. Cheers!

    Had one of the best mother's day to date at Roy's. Excellent service and food was exceptional. One thing was we intended on having sushi because that's what I originally searched for the reservation but the menu was limited to a mother's day special menu. Not a big deal because we all enjoyed the selection of dishes.

    Food on the tepid side, not warm. Seating very poor, considering the wheelchair, table was in middle of restaurant and difficult to get to and out of. Reservations were made 2 Weeks in advance noting mobility difficulties. Overall the most disappointing meal we have had at a Roy’s. Such a letdown after the Newport Roy’s! One of our party ordered butterflied filet so we all got butterflied filet! We tried to make the best of it!

    I believe they overdid it for Mother's Day. Took a very long time between dishes to receive food and when received my steak was completely raw and the potatoes were not cooked enough. They packed the place in and there was no room and the noise was loud, but it was the wait - it was over an hour and a half for our food - and then the food wasn't good or cooked as requested.

    Poor Mother’s Day service. There was never a friendly smile by server or host. The food took over an hour to be served. Unfortunately service was horrible and they were not able to meet standard for Roy’s we’ve had in the past at this location and in Hawaii.

    Reserved Roy’s restaurant for Mother’s Day and a terrible experience. They over reserved many families, making everyone wait multiple hours. I got my reservation at 1:30 and did not start eating until 3:30. We gave up the third course and left. They comp’d our meal but that doesn’t give them the excuse to deserve any more than 1 star. ESP on a special day like Mother’s Day.

    After waiting for 2-1/2 hours for our food that never came. The theee of us got up and walked out of the restaurant. I realize that it was Mother’s Day but 2-1/2 hours is crazy we did at least get our desert to eat but no entrée totally unreal for a so call upper level restaurant.very very disappointing.

    Mother’s Day brunch. I get it. It’s busy and restaurants are overbooked. However, still not acceptable. 1215 reservation. 1230. Asked about seating. Was told “there’s people with 1145 reservation still waiting”. 1245 seated. Placed order right away. 1 pm. Appetizers came out. 2 pm. Entrees came out. Asked for the dessert to go because I did not want to wait another hour for dessert. 230 pm. Got everything, paid and left. If restaurant wants to charge a premium for Mother’s Day, that’s fine. But at least do SOMETHING to justify the cost.

    I made a reservation at 5:30 on a Saturday. When we arrived at the restaurant it was half full. We were seated at a small table for 6. After ordering, we were informed they were out of shrimp. So 2 of us had to reorder. How do u run out of shrimp at 6 pm on Saturday? As ww begun our meal bus boys and waiters were constantly at our table . They were removing unused wine glasses, removing silverware and small dishes. I felt like we couldn't communicate because as we were talking, they kept reaching over us. It was ridiculous! I felt like telling staff please just leave us so we can eat, talk, and enjoy our company. Maybe we were being rushed for the next reservations, I don't know. We were excited to try a new restaurant but will not be returning.

    We had a reservation at 5:30 pm this evening. At that hour the restaurant was 20% full. The staff at the entry asked about allergies and preferences which was good. We were seated and the server came to our table. He was wearing so much cologne that it overwhelmed us. After ordering, we waited for 20 minutes before our salads arrived. One of our party made it very clear to the server that she did not want any goat cheese on her salad. The salad delivered had a small amount of goat cheese on the plate. I ordered the Grilled Salmon. The serving of salmon was about 4 inches square. There was a small pickled salad item and small block of rice with futukaki on it. The salmon did not have much flavor, the sauce the salmon sat in was average in flavor. Value-wise, I would pay at most $15 for this entry. The price of it was $44. We ordered dessert and waited at least 30 minutes for the dessert. I had a chocolate cake and it was very good. It was the most outstanding item I ordered. This restaurant's food is acceptable, however, I would never go back and pay an arm and a leg for acceptable food.

    Great food. The wedge salad was delicious but VERY SMALL in size. Prob smallest wedge ever had on my life. Fish cooked perfectly, go for butterfish. Had combo with Cod and Ribs but ribs nothing to write home about - shoulda just got the fish. Rice is great and comes with most dishes. Had a trainer waitress who was nice but drinks came AFTER appetizer arrived abd then no lemons (as initially requested) which took.a LONG time to come after we pointed out this had been forgotten. Nonsense of urgency to corrext the error. Overall good experience and ontlnding 1-star for the ridiculously small wesge salad.

    We didn’t get water and waiter did Not Come By to ask. Poke was outstanding. My favorite dish. Shrimp Udin exquisitely flavored. Enjoyed the sushi role.
