They really rip you off with cost of wine by the glass. Salads were also pricey & smaller portions than you would expect

Everything was fantastic. Great waitress, great servers, great food. The hostess that sat us was grouchy, and close to being mean, but that diminished the evening only the slightest.

Appreciated the special acknowledgements for our anniversary which made it a more special dinner. Food was delicious. Server checked in an appropriate amount of time and gave space us to enjoy our meal. We hadn’t been back to Roy’s in years- we’ll now make sure that doesn’t happen again!

Great ambience and service, however, the ahi tuna salad was terrible. Very poor grade of ahi...tough, tasteless...surprisingly poor quality.

I visit Roy’s once or twice each year when I have to take clients out for dinner. Roy’s has always been a favorite of mine... it’s food and service you can always count on.

My office and I came to Anaheim from San Diego for a Convention. After the convention we picked Roy's for dinner because we heard good things. When we initially called to make reservations, we asked for a 5pm reservation, we were told that they didn't have anything until 9pm, the earliest they could do was 4pm. I asked how about 4:30pm (We were trying to get something closer to 5pm so we would have enough time in the convention) and the hostess said that wouldn't work. So we settled on 4pm. When I went online and saw that you could make reservations online, I checked to see what times were available and there was a spot open for 4:45pm, so I booked that time slot. We called in to confirm the reservation and they were trying to tell us that there was some computer glitch and we couldn't book for that time, so then we settled for the time of 4:30pm for our reservation. We made it on time for our reservation, everything was great, the service and the food. But the most disappointing part was, we were a group of 8, so we were going to be there for at least a couple hours, so when 5pm came around the restaurant was still basically empty!! 5:30pm rolled by and still basically empty. By the time we left at about 6:30pm there was still plenty of open seating. The fact that they couldn't accommodate us for the time we requested and seeing the restaurant pretty much empty at that time, was very disappointing!!

This is one of our favorite Roy’s. The staff are always polite and attentive, the food is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet enough to have lovely conversation. We have eaten here on very busy nights during large conventions and the high standards are kept. The staff manage the extra demands with grace. Well done!

Here for the Mother's Day Brunch. The Kalua pork benedict was awesome! My wife ordered the filet mignon. It was a really nice cut and cooked perfectly (medium rare). Service was great. Waiter and Manager were very attentive. They called agead to c9nfirm my reservation and wven ask for my kiddos names so they could personalize desserts for them. They made sure to inquire about food allergies which was important as my daughter has a nut allergy.

The food was delicious and the servers were wonderful. Very attentive. The host was pleasant but, as early as the reservation was, there were not that many people there, he still sat us at the very first booth by the front door. It was at least in the main dining room rather than the smaller section but still. It was cool that morning too. I thought, wow they’re going to be full, but there were several booths and tables towards the middle and back of the restaurant left open the entire time we were there. He was kind to offer a gift card for Mother’s Day but instead of handing it to me, he just tossed it on the table. He was standing right next to me. I thought that was kind of rude. Other than that, I didn’t let that bother me and enjoyed our family time at this establishment.

Been to Roys quite a few times and they never disappoint. Food and Service is excellent. I've tried both the "surf" and the "turf" and although I would recommend either/or, I come to Roys when I crave a high quality fish dish. I would recommend either the Hibachi Grilled Salmon or the Macadamia Crusted Mahi Mahi.

Have been to several of the restaurants locations in the past and always was satisfied with the service. The evening at this location the service was good when we got to restaurant, but after we ordered it took quite a long time to get the food. I’m not certain if they were understaffed or if the kitchen was having some issues. We never got any updates from our server as to why their was a delay. Was not happy with the overall service that evening

First time at a Roy's and was pleasantly surprised. Nice, upscale interior and excellent service. I definitely would recommend Roy's Trio, with a side of asparugus and crab fried rice. Flavor of the Ahi, Salmon, Butterfish and accompaniments was superb.

Great location and great ambiance.
A little loud, especially for a Sunday night.
Made a reservation for seven, but they squeezed us into a circular table for six. This, no room for shared dishes or the large “canoe” appetizer plates.
The black cod was excellent, as usual, but the crab fried rice was soggy with too much oil. The waitress forgot to open our bottle of wine, and we had to ask the hostess to open it.

I said I wouldn't recommend Roy's Anaheim, because I would recommend the other Roy's more than this location. I've been to the original Roy's in Hawaii Kai 4 times, and to the one in Rancho Mirage once, and they were both excellent. The one in Anaheim feels a bit too 'Disney', more noisy, less cosy, and the service, while still very good, is slightly less good than at the other locations.

So I would 100% recommend Roy's; it's my favorite restaurant, just not that location. I will try the one in Woodland Hills next.

Great ambiance and greeted with a printout recognizing our anniversary. We had dinner late, about 90 minutes before closing time. We felt the server was rushing us a bit throughout. We asked for a few minutes to decide on dinner and she came back 1 minute later. We asked for more time and again she came back 1 minute later. We figured she didn’t want to stay later than she had to. Once she took our order she asked if we were going to want dessert and to let her know as “it takes 20 minutes once ordered”.- this was right after she took our order and before we got our drinks or appetizers. She then disappeared and a busboy was getting our refills and condiment requests. Service could have been better.
