Need better signage in parking structure
Great restaurant and meal. Drinks did leave something to be desired. Good bar if you’re not ordering cocktails. Food was great but heavy. Overall I will come back knowing what to order.
Food was great and we had excellent service from Traci and the staff.
Sadly our food too forever and it was not the wait sadly!
Celebrating our staff holiday dinner. Food was good and service was great. Good start to 2019!
We love how they treat us like family. The food is wonderful and great service can't be beat! The gem of Anaheim!
It’s definitely changed since the new ownership. You can taste it in the food and the service. Since the new change I wanted to give it a chance but I am sorry Roys, 3 strikes and you are out. I’m not sure about the other locations but for sure the Anaheim has lost the magic. We have been going to Roys for 15 years. We have been to the one in Oahu, palm desert and Anaheim. I for sure will not go back to the Anaheim location which is a shame.
Went on New Years eve. Special menu for the evening at high price. Over $200 including tip for 2 of us.
The food was amazing! Very tasty and the service was really good. Out waiter knew a lot about the menu and the food which is what you want.
Lobster Potstickers are amazing! The sauce was incredible! We also enjoyed the Hibachi Salmon and Rice. Definitely want to return
We have been longtime fans. My husband and I were from out-of-town in an area without a Roy’s. We planned a dinner with a local family member and were delighted to have Roy’s as an option. Our favorite is the macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi, which was perfectly prepared. And the pineapple martinis were as good as ever. Wish we lived closer. We would return often. Given how busy restaurants can be near Disney, we feared the service might fall short. However, the service was friendly and efficient. All in all, it made for a wonderful dining experience at one of our favorites!
Great customer service and the cuisine was delicious.
unfortunately their menu on their website was completely different when we got there. we left and dined at Ruth's Chris so my review isn't correct
Excellent service & food! We are so glad they are open on Christmas day!!
I've always had a great experience at Roy's Restaurants so this one is no exception. Service is friendly and professional as usual. Food is what I would expect, delicious and tasty.
Our waitress Christy was fantastic! Best part of our visit!
Our servers were wonderful and the company made our experience special. I was sad that the Hawaiian Ribeye was no longer available and I ordered a lobster and filet Mignon requesting medium plus to order. The lobster was tasty however my filet was over cooked and quite difficult to chew. I am not one to send my food back but the waiter looked at the steak and insisted that I get another one. The second steak was delicious but I wished this had been my initial experience. This Roy’s is nothing like Roy’s San Diego or Maui Hawaii.
We are never disappointed when we dine at Roy's! Everything was excellent! The food is delicious! Great for date nights and special occasions.
Romantic evening: Hubby ordered the Sea Bass "special" without knowing the cost ($49... a bit high and almost worth it). Fish arrived hot, in a luscious broth with tiny vegetables. . .hmmmmm. I tried the vegetarian "Napoleon" of grilled vegetables. Served screaming hot with incredibly smooth mashed potatoes. The asparagus was tough, the onion hardly cooked at all (really needed a steak knife), the carrots were warmed on the grill (not cooked) and the mushrooms were tasty. I might order it again, but it wasn't anything truly special. Our server was adequate, nice and gave us just enough attention to earn a tip. We will return, but hopefully our next experience there will be a bit better -- since we almost always have a GREAT TIME.
Waiter didnt know the menu. Food was such a disappointment. Swordfish was like soup, we also got the steak and lobster and the steak was awful
Spending a birthday with friends and great food
First time we've been to the Roy's in Anaheim since we normally go to the one in Newport Beach. Had a great experience and service was outstanding. As usual, the food there did not disappoint. Would be back, especially since the one in Newport Beach is closing down.
We could not have been more impressed. It was our first time at a Roy's and we will definitely return. The food is fabulous and the staff are professional and efficient, as well as friendly. The decor is upscale but we felt comfortable dressed for Disneyland.
Best chocolate souffle! And always delicious new items to try.
Our annual visit to Disneyland for Christmas always includes family dinner at Roy's, Garden Walk. That particular location is easy to access, has plenty of parking - and is reachable by walking from resort area! The chef is excellent. Service is very good. Food is wonderful. Christmas 2018 dinner at Roy's was one of the best. Highly recommend. Also recommend locations in Honolulu, on Maui, and in San Diego. SF location, not so much. Quality family time in nice dining room with really good food for a variety of pallets? Roy's.
Waitress just okay. Food decent.
Best dining experience we've had in some time. Food was exceptional.
The meal was incredible. The server was very knowledgeable and was so kind to accommodate my special request.
Roy's is a delight. The service is excellent and the menu is always terrific. We met with a new colleague and were able to enjoy stimulating conversation while sharing appetizers. The menu selections were wonderful and all members of our party were very satisfied. I'll choose Roy's again when we are next in Anaheim.
Food was excellent but pricing is very high compared with comparable restaurants. I would recommend but with the caveat that it is expensive.
bad sushi, poor service, long wait times for food - avoid
Very overrated! Portion sizes too small for what they charge. We ordered the seafood sampler plate and the 4 types of fish plate. Both were drowned in sauce and lacked flavor. Most people could make them at home much better.
Roy's needs to add more substance to their dishes
Fantastic food and service...get the sushi..game changer
Overall it was good. I wasn't thrilled with the side room at first but then it turned out o.k. - just not the main dining area which I would have preferred. Also, I had a rather unpleasant experience at the bar with a waiter who I perceived as being rude by reaching in front of me twice to get condiments for his drinks he was picking up. Apparently, I was standing too close to the pick up area for the bar (it was crowded). I just felt that when I brought it to his attention he could have at least apologized but instead we both just glared at each other and it set the whole night off on a weird vibe. The food was good and we will definitely be back. In fact, we will be at the Roy's in Honolulu soon and that's one of our very favorite spots to eat.
It was my birthday!
Roy’s is and always has been amazing. Sad to hear that Roy’s Newport Beach is closing but I love the overall vibe in Anaheim. Wonderful ambiance, lovely service, great food- just an amazing experience!
Roy's always has great service. There food is great and they have a lot of variety. There vegan menu Items are just ok. This day and age so many restaurants are stepping up their vegan game. So, If you have some veggie folk in your group I would try another place. If not then Roy's is always a good choice.
We have been to another Roy's in Orange County, with a less than desirable experience. enough to say we will not be going back again.
We were on vacation this summer and visited a Roy restaurant in Kauai. Now before moving forward, I am aware that other than one or two Roy's on the mainland, he no longer has a relationship with the restaurants.
Anyway, we had such a great experience at the Kauai Eating House 1849, we decided to try the Anaheim Roy's (a different Roy's than last experience).
Once we got there it was clear the feel was different, the place was laid out well, had great flow and once we were seated, we felt welcomed.
The server was helpful and listened and reacted well to our needs. we're not Pre-Madonnas by any means, we just know what we like.
In simple form, the food was tasty, fresh and on time. The only knock is the portions are a bit small, but for use, a drink, appetizer and one meal to share was plenty. Oh and I forgot a desert also.
I don't like to let people know what we had, cause think its an around about to way to say this is what you should get.
However, the only recommendation I would give, is to take advantage of their menu and try something new.
In the end, I would make this a favorite for a special occasion and more important has changed our opinion of Roy's, at least at this location.
Great friendly service. Very accommodating with my reservation for fanily’s Flight was delayed.
Excellent lunch menu, dessert, pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream was devine, “Ono”
This was one of my favorite local restaurants based on location. Now, it’s gone downhill. Poor service. Complacent management. Decent, but not exceptional food. Someone’s asleep st the wheel st this location. What happened?
It was very nice of this restaurant has an option to book on OpenTable. When arriving a hostess was smiling and greeted us immediately. We were a few minutes early and was guided into the bar to be able to have a drink prior to our table. The manager and waitress took great care and concern for my food allergies. I’m glad to see that there’s a place that takes it seriously
