Royal India Bistro
They clearly did not have enough servers working. Our service was crazy slow and almost missed our 9:00 show time although we sat down at 7. When we complained they rushed our dinners out but they were not cooked completely. They did discount the bill pretty heavily when my husband complained
Great restaurant and service! I got the butter chicken and it was absolutely amazing! I did feel a little dressed down, so wear something nicer than shorts!
The Karahi chicken was delicious and was nicely spicy (which is what I asked for). My wife ordered an okra dish but thought the okra was a bit woody in parts. The free papadum was crisp, fresh, and tasty, and we ordered a chile naan that also was excellent (my wife thought it was spicy, I thought not so much). One plate of rice was more than enough for the two of us to share (unlike other reviewers have said, many Indian restaurants, especially in big cities, do require you to order rice). Service was laid back but friendly enough and the restaurant wasn't crowded on a pre-Penn&Teller weeknight.
The food is very flavorful. I would say the spice temperature is pretty hot. Our server wasn’t so great. He really didn’t know much about the menu and had this odd habit of coughing on you. I also find it very odd that you have to order rice if you want it with your meal.
The food was very good. However, there was a party in their function room, which is right next to the dining room, and the staff kept leaving the door open, so we were overwhelmed by the noise and the music. Our waiter was awful. Very lifeless. He did not return to our table while we were eating our entrees, we had to get up and find him to get any service, such as additional rice, and refills on our drinks. The restaurant was not full so there was no reason for such poor service. The food was good, but I would not return due to the poor service. There are too many good restaurants in Vegas to put up with such poor service.
the place is a good one for India food lovers... the food portion , the taste were good, my India Friend was very happy that we pick this place for dinner.. the lighting is a bit dark in some area ( might be the light bulb were fading out ) but since i am not sitting over at that area, it's OK with me ..
I love the deco in the front , it 's a great feeling to feel taking dinner in India …
I was there for my Birthday. I Love their Ticca Masala! The food and service were great!
Highly recommend!! Royal India was perfect for our first time experiencing Indian cuisine and they did not disappoint! Experienced and attentive wait staff ensured we understood everything from spice level, what we eating /ordering and how large portion sizes were. We will absolutely be back again! When we went to the 1/2 price tickets place they told us about R. India being next to the comedy club we purchased. They gave us a discount dining card and when we used it we saved $25 on our meal!
Atmosphere is good. The food is easily the worst Indian food I’ve ever had.
The waiter makes you feel your not welcomed
Food was excellent!
First time at this restaurant. Great food and the service was excellent!
Was not pleased with the food we received. Nor were we given enough information on how much to order. We thought the rice and nan was apart of the meal, because one person asked about it and she just said we would get 4 orders and then charged us for all without our knowledge. We had way too much food since each person ordered food not knowing it was going to be family style.
I introduced my boyfriend to the Indian world of wonderful spices and textures. He loved it! We're definitely going back. Great food and ambiance.
This is a horrible place that ruined our new year eve moment... we had a reservation confirmed, I called ahead of time to double check but when we got there on time, the chef had decided to close the kitchen ! Don’t go there, management is rude and not service nor customer oriented. To do this, on New Year Eve is unprofessional. This place should be closed immediately.
Restaurant wss closed when we arrived for our reservation.
The food was more on the cold side than hot. Seemed like they just reheated few days old food. Should’ve know that the quality wouldn’t be great when they came out with burnt popadom. The naan was nice and that’s it
This is the by far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The restaurant is very easy to find. It’s located right inside the Rio hotel. It’s not at all noisy like many other casino restaurants. Not only is it quiet, but it feels very authentic. The ambiance immediately makes you feel like you’re no longer is Vegas. The service is great and the food is outstanding! Definitely worth checking out!
Service was terrible
A nice welcome from the hostess and then everything went downhill . We were served a popadom which tasted weird as did the chutneys that came with them. We ordered our food which was served quickly. The waiter came back to the table with 2 cold plates. The atmosphere was cold. Once we had finished, the waiter came to our table with the check. Our total time in there was 1 hr and 15 minutes. We have been in better places than this over the last two weeks. Sort this place out or shut it down.
I have dined at the Royal India Bistro on several occasions but I have to say we were disappointed this time
We asked for Vegetable Pakora as a starter and we’re advised that it was not available despite being on the menu - odd at only 9.30pm
I then orderd Chicken Pasanda and when my main course arrived it was actually Butter Chicken
Although the food was good it was not what we ordered and I certainly would not rush back
Took more than an hour for food. The number of staff has to be increased. Come on Rio, you can do better.
We had dinner prior to going to Rio's new Comedy Cellar just across the hall. Dinner was superb! Brian, our host and waiter, helped us determine what and how much of menu items. We loved the tandoori chicken and the panek paneer. Vegetable samosas are beautifully crafted. You need just one for a filling appetizer! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It is white tablecloth decor with reasonable pricing! HIghly recommend.
Not expecting much from a casino Indian restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and of the service. Standard Indian offerings, but nicely done and very tasty. My rogan josh was excellent. The staff was very attentive.
Service was terrible. Sat at a table for four for a 2 party. Foreshadowing what was to come they didn’t even bother to remove the extra place settings. Even after we stacked em for them. 15 minutes in we hadn’t even seen our waiter or had a drinks order taken so had to ask the water girl to fetch someone. We got our drinks and meal order in and waited. Another 15 minutes and still no drinks or appetizers. We had now been there about 30 minutes with just water and the free starter. Just about to walk out when the order finally arrived. Appetizers and mains came at the same time. Still no drinks and no rice with the vindaloo and masala. Took about 5 minutes flagged down someone who appeared they were maybe a manager. Asked about our drinks and rice. Meal does not come with rice that’s extra.
Unbelievable and has to be the first Indian place I’ve been to in the country where rice is extra. Normally they are delivering more rice than is humanely possible to eat.
I digress they offered to comp the rice and the drinks which we still didn’t get until right as we were about to leave an hour from sitting down.
Maybe this is an okay buffet place where rice is probably included and you don’t have to worry about service. Otherwise for dinner service stay away.
Yum! Yum! Yum! Starting with the drinks. A mango lassi with baileys and coconut rum. It could be a meal! The paneer korma is the best ever! Tika paneer a little oniony but I’d order again. Perfect rice and nan. In an elegant atmosphere.
Food was great and restaurant very quiet which makes a change in Vegas from having music blasting.
Restaurant like everywhere else in Vegas. COLD!!
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and very attentive service. A good choice for an early dinner prior to our 9:00 show.
Service was awful. Waited ages for first drinks. Didn’t know what beers/drinks were available. Appetizers arrived at different times, all cold in middle, like they didn’t reheat them, never mind make to order. Main course came before they cleared appetizer plates and drinks do we had to clear table for server. We put some bottles and glasses on floor, still there when we left. Ordered wine, they messed up 2 bottles where they couldn’t get cork out (Moscato - bubbly) so asked us if we could open the 3rd, we did. Main courses cold and tasteless. Looks like they just take whatever meat u request and drop it in the curry, no cooking or marination. WORST MEAL AND SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!
Had a great meal with friends. The portions were huge! Waitress was delightful with one of the most genuine smiles I’ve ever seen. Well recommended.
We visit Royal India late night, after the WOW show in our hotel. It was very clean, quiet and well decorated. The service was good, but the food was excellent; just wish there was a bit more food for the money. We will come back for sure (we understand there is a really nice lunch buffet).
Good, authentic Indian cuisine. Efficient and friendly staff
The Fish appetizer was very poorly cooked. But the entrees were delicious - Baingan Bharta, Chicken Kadhai.
Had the buffet. Food was fresh and tasty! Ambience was nice and the price of 15.95 was totally worth it!
Would go again in a jiffy
I got the goat biryani, it was a little oily but not bad
Excellent Indian restaurant as good as the UK
Wonderful meal. Would go again.
The food is fantastic!!!!!!!
Tiki Masala is the bomb!!!!
Service is Phenominal !!!!
Located in th Rio Casino.
the restaurant was empty when we arrived but the usher was reluctant to seat us in a 4 person booth. YThe service was very slow and we ordered two plates kebobs and goat biryani which was very disappinting. The goat meat was dry and very big bones which were not appropriate for a biryani. I called the Manager a few times but was not available . I was not sure why? Overall the foid was sufficient in quantity but mediocre in taste. The food at Gaylord and service was definitely more upscale than the current establishment.
The food is absolutely wonderful. Great variety as the menu has something for everyone!
