Royal India Bistro
Best food in Vegas. Not even close. Exceptional service and management.
The Veg food such as the okra and mixed veggies was good. The Biryani was more like curry pulao and NOT biryani
Our food was very tasty; however, one of our group wanted it extremely mild, and the chef wasn't able to tone down the spice level to 0 for her. The waiter tried to help by offering some yogurt to add to the Saag, but it was still too spicy for her. The one negative was just as we were ready to leave,we think they brought out a table-side grill or something that was smoking, which caused numerous patrons to start coughing, the 4 of us included. I'm not sure what would have caused it, but it was not confined to just our table.
Its a good restaurant, just finding it in a Casino is quite a task!
Food is delicious, I would like to try out other food they have to offer!!!
Great resturant. The food was terrific and the service was perfect. Gret spot.
My husband and I were heading to the Rio for a couple shows. We both love Indian and heard the food was great here. They weren’t lying. It was delicious.
However, the place was dead and the wait time for food was over 30 minutes. I am not sure if it was because it was so slow in the restaurant or If that is their normal speed. We got concerned that we would be pushing it to make our show. By the time we got our food, we had to cash out immediately and eat pretty fast. So, in the end, I would not recommend this if you are on a time crunch. But I’d you are looking for flavor and a chill night, I’d definitely give it a try.
Really good food. Service was a little slow, very few people in restaurant but the staff seemed distracted setting up back room. Waited for drinks and ordered an appetizer that never came. Will probably try again only because the food was so good but if service isn’t better next time that will be a deal breaker. I don’t expect to be waited on hand and foot but I shouldn’t have to wait on drinks when restaurant is empty. Forgetting appetizer falls in same category they were not busy at all.
We had the back room for a business meal of 16. Food was great as was the service.
We had a wonderful dinner there. The only problem was that my husband ordered the goat dish and he ordered it mild. In fact it was so spicy that it burned his mouth. I'm just suggesting that may be the American palate is a a little more sensitive and people should be alerted that even mild is pretty spicy. The server was very kind and offered to bring him something else but he did keep it. He added a little yogurt and some rice and that helped a bit but it was still pretty spicy. My lamb kebab was fantastic and I enjoyed it immensely! I ordered pistachio ice cream and he ordered the Indian style ice cream and we both loved both of them. Thank you for a delightful evening.
They had none of the wine or the Indian beers listed on the menu. The food was not spicy and quite bland - not authentic Indian food at all. Restaurant was musty and in need of a refresh
The place was empty for our 6:30pm reservation. We were seated at a nice table for our party of 8 by the hostess. But them a ‘server’ came over and told us that they were moving us to a smaller table since the first table was ‘uneven’. That server never introduced himself and I actually thought he was more a maintenance man. He proceeded to be very rude asking us if we wanted drinks and if he should leave ‘just one menu’. He came off so rude that I lost my patience and we got up to leave. My daughter informed the hostess. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Why spend your money somewhere that you aren’t treated properly!
A wonderful lunch, a few more choices would have been good - but wonderful service, quiet, cool, with warm decor colors to help you to enjoy your meal. Good value for money
Fabulous family style dinner! My only regret was we ordered too much and had a show right after dinner. Lots of leftovers we couldn’t take.
This restaurant offers a really good value for the money. I like Indian food and, in my opinion, the food at this restaurant seemed like genuine Indian food.
Best Indian Food in Las Vegas.
We travel from North Summerlin just to eat at Royal India at the Rio as we have not been happy with any other Indian Restaurant in town. Quality is excellent and portions are large. We always ask for Brian to be our server. He is so professional and pleasant and knowledgeable. Beautiful room where once you enter it is so quiet and nicely decorated, you forget you are in a Casino. We also appreciate the local’s discount
Only sorry we don’t live closer so we could eat there more often.
This is only a review of the dinner buffet, which we were told was the only option available. The offerings were limited, and there was no chicken in the tiki masala, they were out of rice, and the line of people waiting for the buffet items to be refilled was extremely inconvenient. Then when the bill came, it felt like such a ripoff- and it was. The regular menu may be great but the buffet was a joke when we ate there.
Brian was awesome. Great food.
Our waiter seemed like he just woke up or hadn't slept and was quiet and slow. The butter chicken came with a layer of grease on the top and the order of rice was old and hard. The Chicken pakora was just thrown onto a little plate with no sauces or decoration.
I was in Peace Corp - India, loved the food. This is a very good Indian Restaurant. There are lots of pretty good Indian Restaurants, but this is the cut above. Service is exceptional as well. Don't be put off that it is in Rio Casino, just imagine you are on an adventure to a wonderful oasis. Food, care and hospitality first class. Have fun, we did.
They clearly did not have enough servers working. Our service was crazy slow and almost missed our 9:00 show time although we sat down at 7. When we complained they rushed our dinners out but they were not cooked completely. They did discount the bill pretty heavily when my husband complained
Great restaurant and service! I got the butter chicken and it was absolutely amazing! I did feel a little dressed down, so wear something nicer than shorts!
The Karahi chicken was delicious and was nicely spicy (which is what I asked for). My wife ordered an okra dish but thought the okra was a bit woody in parts. The free papadum was crisp, fresh, and tasty, and we ordered a chile naan that also was excellent (my wife thought it was spicy, I thought not so much). One plate of rice was more than enough for the two of us to share (unlike other reviewers have said, many Indian restaurants, especially in big cities, do require you to order rice). Service was laid back but friendly enough and the restaurant wasn't crowded on a pre-Penn&Teller weeknight.
The food is very flavorful. I would say the spice temperature is pretty hot. Our server wasn’t so great. He really didn’t know much about the menu and had this odd habit of coughing on you. I also find it very odd that you have to order rice if you want it with your meal.
The food was very good. However, there was a party in their function room, which is right next to the dining room, and the staff kept leaving the door open, so we were overwhelmed by the noise and the music. Our waiter was awful. Very lifeless. He did not return to our table while we were eating our entrees, we had to get up and find him to get any service, such as additional rice, and refills on our drinks. The restaurant was not full so there was no reason for such poor service. The food was good, but I would not return due to the poor service. There are too many good restaurants in Vegas to put up with such poor service.
the place is a good one for India food lovers... the food portion , the taste were good, my India Friend was very happy that we pick this place for dinner.. the lighting is a bit dark in some area ( might be the light bulb were fading out ) but since i am not sitting over at that area, it's OK with me ..
I love the deco in the front , it 's a great feeling to feel taking dinner in India …
I was there for my Birthday. I Love their Ticca Masala! The food and service were great!
Highly recommend!! Royal India was perfect for our first time experiencing Indian cuisine and they did not disappoint! Experienced and attentive wait staff ensured we understood everything from spice level, what we eating /ordering and how large portion sizes were. We will absolutely be back again! When we went to the 1/2 price tickets place they told us about R. India being next to the comedy club we purchased. They gave us a discount dining card and when we used it we saved $25 on our meal!
Atmosphere is good. The food is easily the worst Indian food I’ve ever had.
The waiter makes you feel your not welcomed
Food was excellent!
First time at this restaurant. Great food and the service was excellent!
Was not pleased with the food we received. Nor were we given enough information on how much to order. We thought the rice and nan was apart of the meal, because one person asked about it and she just said we would get 4 orders and then charged us for all without our knowledge. We had way too much food since each person ordered food not knowing it was going to be family style.
I introduced my boyfriend to the Indian world of wonderful spices and textures. He loved it! We're definitely going back. Great food and ambiance.
This is a horrible place that ruined our new year eve moment... we had a reservation confirmed, I called ahead of time to double check but when we got there on time, the chef had decided to close the kitchen ! Don’t go there, management is rude and not service nor customer oriented. To do this, on New Year Eve is unprofessional. This place should be closed immediately.
Restaurant wss closed when we arrived for our reservation.
The food was more on the cold side than hot. Seemed like they just reheated few days old food. Should’ve know that the quality wouldn’t be great when they came out with burnt popadom. The naan was nice and that’s it
This is the by far the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The restaurant is very easy to find. It’s located right inside the Rio hotel. It’s not at all noisy like many other casino restaurants. Not only is it quiet, but it feels very authentic. The ambiance immediately makes you feel like you’re no longer is Vegas. The service is great and the food is outstanding! Definitely worth checking out!
Service was terrible
A nice welcome from the hostess and then everything went downhill . We were served a popadom which tasted weird as did the chutneys that came with them. We ordered our food which was served quickly. The waiter came back to the table with 2 cold plates. The atmosphere was cold. Once we had finished, the waiter came to our table with the check. Our total time in there was 1 hr and 15 minutes. We have been in better places than this over the last two weeks. Sort this place out or shut it down.
I have dined at the Royal India Bistro on several occasions but I have to say we were disappointed this time
We asked for Vegetable Pakora as a starter and we’re advised that it was not available despite being on the menu - odd at only 9.30pm
I then orderd Chicken Pasanda and when my main course arrived it was actually Butter Chicken
Although the food was good it was not what we ordered and I certainly would not rush back
