ate here during covid-19 madness. we were one of 2 couples there. service was good and food was good.
Sweet spot close to union square. The menu covers the basics and the staff was accommodating. That said the smell of bathroom deodorizer overtook and option of enjoying a smell of coffee or garlic and was quite annoying until we found the right table near the door.
Considerate service and yummy food. Waitress got us out in time for the play, especially great considering we were late, delayed by traffic.
Roxanne Cafe is exactly what we expected: reasonably-priced solid food that is not in any way out of the ordinary, but not at all bad. The wine list could use some imagination. We had two different pastas. The sauces for the two were the same, but, nevertheless, they were satisfying. Service was friendly and attentive. The room is a place that looks like it could serve breakfast, which it does. We were satisfied. A good place if you are going to a nearby theater, don’t have a lot of time, and don’t want to break the bank.
Roxanne's is a cute little cafe perched on the corner of Bush and Powell. My friend had the Roxanne Burger, and I had the Fisherman Salad. I love my salad - the right amount of texture and flavor. My friend said the burger was great. The staff were extremely accommodating, especially when my friend asked them to do something special in recognition of my birthday. They came through in spades by singing happy birthday to me while holding my creme brulee with a candle in it. SO sweet!
The wine was undrinkable. The steak was tough. Too much garlic. The ice cream was ok. The coffee was awful
Roxanne Cafe is great. It really is an inexpensive SF restaurant with great food. No loud music so you don't have to shout. Cozy. Informal. Excellent place for NYE dinner.
Portions were small but the pasta was delicious. Quiet, cute cafe perfect for dates.
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant away from the crowds. The food is very good but the garlic bread is to die for!
My wife and I had dinner there on Thanksgiving night, and we were very happy with the service, especially the server--we were able to chat about how she was from Mongolia, and how excited she was to see her family the next week. The food was good, and we were grateful (we are from out of town) that we could find a place that was convenient and open. We went back there about a week later, and the server was unfriendly and brusque. In general, the food options (we are plant-based) were very limited and would hope that the restaurant would consider adding options to the menu which would be more suitable to us!
Roxanne's is a nice neighborhood restaurant. Good pastas. Fair prices.
Very attentive staff and excellent food. The stuffed pork loin is the best!
I was very impressed with they're food. The service was great and price was very reasonable.
It was very average. Not amazing, but not poor. I wouldn't return, but I didn't hate it.
Everything was great. Couldn't have asked for better.
Great food which was freshly prepared and very reasonably priced!
This is a gem of a spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The omelets are yummy and the specials are just that! Great service in a comfortable setting.
Perfect location with good food and nice atmosphere.
Amazing. Chocolate chip pancakes were amazing.
Please serve $9 glasses of house white wine in a medium sized glass not dinky.
Good food. Nice little control
Food was very good with a large enough menu to be able to pick a couple of items that sounded good. The only problem is they have 3 or 4 tables down a side hall, that do have a window with a street view, but these feel like they are not part of the restaurant
Zorba salad was an excellent lunch. Full of flavor but light and healthy.
Roxanne salad was huge and very tasty. Linguine was amazing. Nice atmosphere.
Nice little neighborhood (Nob Hill) restaurant. We had burgers and were very pleased with them.
Rozanne Cafe has great food and good service.
Unfortunately, the reservation system did not work, so we had no table when we got there despite getting a confirmation number through OpenTable. After quite some waiting time we ended up in the middle of a larger party who had a great time... This also meant that we could barely speak to each other at our table. Not a pleasant experience. No one in the personnel did anything to calm the other party down - nor did they ask us how we were doing.
I will go back - they deserve a second chance. Last week they did not give us a positive experience though.
Aucun sourire!
Food OK but not exciting. Potatoes were poor...looked/tasted like reconstituted powder, rather than fresh potatoes.
Generally overpriced (like most SF eateries.
Average as far as food in San Francisco Which is a foodie city. Service was good as well as ambiance.
Roxanne Cafe was just the place we were looking for. We wanted to visit with a family member who was staying in Union Square. Roxanne's was only two blocks up the street. We had very good food, reasonably priced (by SF standards) and they left us sit there and visit for 2 hrs. I would definitely go back if I found myself in the City for a day of shopping. Also, we didn't order breakfast as we were there for lunch, but the breakfast dishes looked amazing. Hearty portions too!
pasta was very good
Superb omelettes and no problem customizing to your taste. The service is amazing and so is the value. We eat at Roxanne’s every time we visit San Francisco.
Visited San Francisco for the weekend with some friends and came across this restaurant near our hotel and loved it, delicious food, amazing service and loved the fact it was close to the trolley station that tours the whole city. Definitely check it out if you're in the city!
We love this little place. It’s cozy and on a nice street corner. Service was awesome and the food is consistently good. The breakfast is so good you have to stand in line. Great neighborhood find!
Convenient location. Lovely bistro atmosphere. Slow the night we were there. Beer/wine/martini only alcohol. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Chicken piccata and chicken Marsala. Nice desserts. Very reasonably priced. Would very much recommend.
Left after waiting of 45 minutes for our food. Restaurant wasn’t even full...
They did NOT respect the reservation. They just told that they had so many walk-ins that they could not keep the reservation. Just wonder do they understand the principle of a reservation.
Food was fair but we waited almost 55 min for or salad then another 25 min got main course. Understand staffing issues this happens I get
It but no apologies nor attention to Patrons perhaps stop over snd comp a dessert or st least address
Small establishment we knew this but for price could have given
A little more food. Chicken parm was one small pie day with minimal pasta little better than a weight watchers portion.
Never even said thank you. Would never recommend better up throwing away your $$
