While visiting Boston we wanted a nice fine dining restaurant with local sea food. This was just that. We just found it online. Two of us had the lobster (all taken out of the shell -YES) with sweet potato gnochi, it was excellent. Wine selection - good. Service was very good as well. It's a little pricey but worth the money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.
Easter was wonderful! Great service from the moment we hit door .. Food was perfect !
Tea was okay to good.
The pastries were very, very delicious. I was taken by surprise. Adrian told me that everything was made fresh there, and it seemed that way too.
The environment was good. We went around 3:30pm, so it was naturally quiet.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our spontaneous tea break. The pastry was much, much better than The Courtyard Restaurant @ the Boston Public Library.
A wonderful place for dining with friends or for a date! The noise level is low and you can hold a good conversation. Beautiful, elegant ambiance and still low-key with great view of the waterfront. The food is high quality, prepared with care and is fresh. I had the halibut with risotto and loved it! Dessert was amazing! The waitstaff are friendly, on point, and never rush you. Highly recommend this as a respite from the rush of the city.
I had not realized that this was a hotel restaurant. The food was completely uninspiring but pricey. However, the staff was very attentive.
Amazing service! Amazing food! Went to the bar side after for some drinks and William the bartender was amazing!! Highly recommended!!
Came here for afternoon tea whilst I'm vacation in Boston. Lovely lobby area..nice seating area. Lovely restaurant. .loved the rose petals on the tables..a nice touch. Huge selection of teas but unfortunately I don't drink tea. The good was lovely and well explained by my waiter. Lovely location on the river..would be lovely to dine there in Warner months.
Wonderful time. Food real good and waiter went out of his way to make sure everything was to our liking
Attended "high tea." Very enjoyable. Wonderful food and delicious tea. Amazing service. Only complaint, as we were exiting, we asked for our parking to be validated. The hostess then informed us that the restaurant did not validate for tea, only for a meal. Pretty tacky.
Had lunch To catch up with a friend and she loved this place. Food was great, love the view too.
Ate here the other day with my two children after a trip to the Aquarium. the food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back again.
I needed to catch up with business associate/ friend and wanted to be able to hear well. The food was incredibly good and view of harbor was delightful.
Sea grille was closed. We were asked to go to the Meritage instead. So we did not really get the Seagrille experience. Disappointing that our reservation was confirmed for Seagrille but the restaurant was closed.
Whilst the Restaurant is being refitted, they have moved this restaurant upstairs. What a great venue for lunch. If this was a permanently open for lunch, it would make the best business lunch venue in Boston.
Excellent food and excellent service, a worthwhile visit while in the seaport area, don't miss it!
I and my partner have been enjoying the Sea Grille for years. Loved the location, liked the interior, loved the staff (knowledgeable and professional with just the perfect amount of relaxed banter to enrich your experience, and much of the staff has been around for years), but the food was typically bland, high end country club sort of food. And the wine list only offered over the top choices price wise. We were trapped in Boston this past Christmas in the freak snow storm, and decided to lunch at the Sea Grille. We probably hadn't been for two years, and we were over the moon for how tremendous the menu was, and the preparation of the fare. We spent 4 hours on the waterfront sampling items from across the menu and just don't have enough good things to say about our meal. Go soon to enjoy the butternut hummus, the Jonah Crab Cake is amazing, as was the Sole with an inspired Succotash! Well Done Sea Grille. We've been twice since, and perfect both times. We can't wait to go again.
The seafood grille is a very nice restaurant located right on the historic Rowe’s wharf. The service was spectacular as was the food. I highly would recommend it if you are traveling to Boston and put it on your bucket list if you are a local.
We will be back! John
Exceptional, genuinely friendly service. Food is incredibly delicious and wonderfully presented.
As always excellent food and lovely view of the harbor. Refreshing to have a quiet place to eat so you can actually speak with and hear your dinner companions. The restaurant does appear to have paid attention to sound proofing and not squashing tables next to each other resulting in a lovely atmosphere.
Perfect location for New Year's Eve dinner and fireworks viewing! My husband and I went to a comedy show earlier and wanted a nice meal to welcome in the new year. Though the NYE menu was on the expensive side, it was a delicious 4 course meal, served in a timely manner so we did not feel rushed. To top the night off, with fireworks out the window and an espresso martini meant 2018 was off to a great start!
We have enjoyed this restaurant in the summer as well. The outdoor seating has a great view of the harbor, and our meal was just as good. Some may find this pricey, but you are paying for the location/view too. Go here with that in mind and you won't be disappointed.
Special hotel, very nice restaurant. Buffet was super! Great selection, fresh, and delicious. I will return over and over. Staff was first clasd
food was absolutely incredible. butternut squash hummus app. salmon was beautifully seasoned. melted in your mouth. pea ravioli exquisite! couldn't get enough of the ginger beer mocktail. memorable dinner. water view was stunning on a cold winter night. restaurant atmosphere was cozy and charming. waitstaff was perfect! very knowledgeable of the menu and courteous. they paid attention to what was going on at our table without interrupting us. A ++
The place was nice and the menu was okay. The waiter forgot our appetizer and my husband ordered swordfish but got halibut. I had the scallops which were good, my husband kept the halibut but it was not well seasoned and mediocre at bests
My family had a wonderful Christmas Lunch at the Sea Grille. I would recommend it to anyone. It has a great atmosphere and views of Boston.
My only complaint would be the parking but that is typical of Boston.
Lovely dining experience. Service and foot were superb.
A very good get-together place. We'l l
come back next year.
Service was excellent, food quality very good and noise level did not interfere with conversation
Nice business breakfast
Just a great locale that we have always wanted to visit when in Boston. We were there for Thanksgiving Dinner (5:30); it was not crowded, very pleasant, service was excellent, turkey and all 'fixins' were ideal. We will return in the summer so that we may partake of the harbor dining. There were six in our party and everyone agreed the food and atmosphere were perfect.
Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner!
Thanksgiving prix fix menu was easy and tasty
Fantastic Thanksgiving Day brunch! Would definitely do again.
Truly fantastic restaurant. Nice location and very tasty dishes. Everything we tried was great (veal, lemon sole, scallops). I eat seafood regularly and I can say the scallop dish was the best I have ever tried.
Best swordfish ever. Quiet pleasant environment.
Perfect date spot with a beautiful view of the harbor. Very romantic and the food was excellent.
Best clam chowder and scallops. Best service and staff.
I'm visiting Boston for the first time, and it was an excellent choice for a date with my wife. Perfectly flaky snapper, the clam chowder (though not exactly traditional) was buttery and delicious, and the view over the water was amazing.
Fantastic breakfast. Wonderful (true 5-Star) service and great food. I️ keep coming back and have had an excellent experience each time; and during different meal periods.
Had a birthday lunch with a friend and the service was excellent. The asparagus crab soup was delicious. The mozzarella panini was not as good but we had an amazing seat by the window with a beautiful view of the harbor.
We had family in from Atlanta and this was a last minute decision. Everybody was impressed with the food and the service. Halibut, red snapper, scallops and rib-eye steak all got rave reviews.
