Rowes Wharf Sea Grille
Very relaxing environment and awesome food! Our clients were happy.
Booked a table for afternoon tea, but on arrival told the booking was for lunch (at 3.45?) and the food for tea had to be pre-booked. They did provide a small tray of ‘leftover’ food and didn’t charge so that was something but I was left disappointed as I had specifically wanted the tea experience. Pretty noisy, so difficult to have a quiet conversation in the lunch area.
The truffle fries are a definite winner! Try them with grilled cod!
The food was very good. I ordered the Bouillabaisse and it was rich and tasty. The service was good and generous. The view from the restaurant is very attractive. The price is a bit on the high end but overall it was a good experience.
We totally enjoyed Mother's Day brunch at the Sea Grille. My wife was very happy and the food was great as well as the service!
Have been many times for breakfast buffet and always enjoyed. However on Mother’s Day the manager was actually clearing the buffet while we were just starting to get our food. Not very appealing when you open the cover for bacon and there are 6 pieces of bacon, and four in my party. Food was good, but just not the usual experience we are use to.
One of our most outstanding dining experiences! I only rated the noise level at moderate as we had outdoor seating, so it was as expected. Radiant heaters above us in the overhead canopies kept us very comfortable to enjoy a spring evening overlooking Boston Harbor. Our waiter was very professional and responsive to all of our needs! I look forward to returning and hope we get our same waiter the next time!
The two pound lobster in saffron sauce is perfection! Best in Boston, so tender, so succulent, so flavourful. Comes with a corn custard and asparagus. Strawberry cheese cake and black forest cake are delicious. The ambiance is warm and inviting and I highly recommend it.
Our graduation celebration was enhanced by the delicious food and warm ambiance at the Rowe’s Wharf Sea Grill. Adrian was very attentive and accommodating to our various requests and dietary restrictions. It was a very special time for us. Thank you for a beautiful luncheon.
Service was extremely poor. Never once were we asked if anyone wanted a beverage. The shrimp on my salad was horrific. Tiny little boiled things with no flavor. $24 for a bad Cobb salad. Never coming back. At least find a new source for your shrimp!!!
We went for a business dinner. The waiter was great and very attentive. The food was very good
Our server was outstanding
90th Birthday Party. I had changed the time from 11:30 to 11:00 by calling and they had not integrated it into their system. After a brief wait they set up a nice table and food was terrific. The wait staff was good though one person was a bit off putting. Brunch was $34 per person but very inclusive of most things on the menu. Ricotta pancakes were outstanding.
Food was absolutely amazing!!!
A bit expensive but was great for Easter special occasion.
Our waiter was terrible.
Attentive, friendly service both times we ate there. At dinner, nice menu choices other than dessert which was quite limited in choices and a little too cute for my liking. My wife concurred. When we tried the old stay-by of vanilla ice cream with a sauce, all they had was chocolate that my wife said tasted like it came out of a squirt bottle. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and would definitely eat there again.
The seafood was delicious. Each dish had a wonderful presentation. Our waiter, Jeisson, was extremely informative and accommodating. In all it was a lovely experience. Thank you.
The Sea Grille is always a favorite, and this time we had an exceptionally nice server, Rafael. Look forward to returning soon.
Family visiting Boston area.
Beautiful restaurant, gracious staff, and amazing food!!
We love the food, the service, the view and above all the silence.
Very good experience. The shrimp was dried out.
My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast at the Sea Grille. We had a window seat with nice view of the harbor. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. The buffet was very good - the usual breakfast buffet food but piping hot. I had tea with my meal. It was a loose tea and was wonderful. We truly enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Beautiful meal and excellent service. Just what we were looking for to celebrate a special occasion.
Delicious and elegant, as always!
A wonderful view of the Boston Harbor with generous portions of delicious, inspired dishes with friendly, excellent service. The house Cabernet and mocktails were fabulous, too. Try it!
Enjoyed the view and experience. Tasty food and outstanding service.
It is a beautiful place, elegant interior and views of the water. After having had dinner at the
Grill where we had the best salmon ever, we thought we try it for lunch. The bib salad with crab meat was ok, but the chicken sandwich was awful. The chicken was way overcooked and dried out. Any chain restaurant would have done a better job at half the price.
Lunch with my sister. We split some items and they delivered them divided, nice touch!
Excellent food and staff. Our waiter was excellent
Extraordinary gracious service, perfect timing on food and drink, lovely view, quiet enough for conversation and lovely food beautifully presented.
Great service . Everyone extremely courteous. Lovely view.
Went for a business lunch with a colleague. Service by Susan was great. She addressed me by name. My colleague had the crabmeat salad and I had the shrimp cobb salad. Both were excellent.
I dined at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille with my adult children on Christmas Eve as a special occasion. I requested 2 weeks in advance a window seat and quiet table. Upon arriving the hostess showed no interest whatsoever in accommodating my requests. Although the restaurant was only half full she insisted on seating us at a noisy table near the kitchen away from the windows and refused to seat us at better situated tables that were empty and apparently set for the following day. She was deeply apathetic, lazy, and showed no awareness of the important holiday and event. Even after protesting and suggesting other tables she refused to accommodate us. The table service was OK. The food quality was very mixed, not good, with the meat dishes very dry and inferior. Bad value for the money ($300 dinner), apathetic hostess and service environment. I dine out very often in Boston and I definitely will never return to this restaurant. Don't visit unless you want to leave in a very bad mood.
Everything from the service to the food was phenomenal. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel we were greeted with smiles and helpful guidance (seeing as we were visitors to Boston). The ambiance was spectacular and the dining room was beautiful. Our waiter was kind and considerate recommending the best for us and being careful of my food allergy. The food was delicious and filling, having graduated from culinary school I can be a little critical but the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future and I highly recommend it.
My wife and I went here for our first wedding anniversary after my father-in-law gave us a gift certificate to the Boston Harbor Hotel (so we could choose from a couple of restaurants). We decided to go to Rowes Wharf Sea Grille due to the menu and the waterfront views. We had a wonderful time, the food was outstanding, and our server, Adrian, was amazing. We are looking forward to visiting in the summer to experience the outdoor seating and live music!
