Rowes Wharf Sea Grille
Fantastic service and a delicious meal. So many options on the menu sounded amazing; it was difficult to chose!
Wonderful ambience. Excellent service and instagram worthy food.....absolutely delicious.
Excellent and pleasing colorful presentation. Just the right amount and very tasty!
Good not as good as in past.
Chowder not at hot or tasty.
Butter refrigerator taste. Rolls not as fresh.
The restaurant was sparkly clean, the food was prepared immaculately, delicious, and arranged beautifully in the buffet. The staff was exceptionally attentive. I have eaten here on four occasions and I have nothing but positive things to say about the restaurant. For the record, I almost never post reviews, but I have been so impressed with the restaurant and my stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel that they have earned the extra effort it takes for me to make this post.
I ordered the clam chowder and the wife the lobster. Both were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The service rendered by Adrian was phenomenal. The conversation was full of genuine curiosity and interest while remaining courteous to our meal time. We ate at this location for breakfast where I had the ricotta and lemon pancakes, not to be beat. Highly recommended.
We were there for new year and the experience was wonderful. Abundant and excellent food. Our waitress was very attentive (forgot her name, I think was something like Maylenna). She also deserves credit for this rate.
The food was excellent and the service was good, but it was rather expensive for a dinner out. I had the mushroom soup, crab cakes and halibut. All wee excellent. Most people felt it was too much food.
There was a fixed price menu for New Year's Eve, for which there were two seatings. We had reservations for the second. I thought they'd have been better prepared. Th restaurant called ahead of time and questioned about food allergies, but our waiter hadn't been told. Service was just...lacking. It was so difficult to catch waiter's attention, and once he took our orders someone else delivered everything. Pre-dinner cocktails were hard to order and slow in coming - the wine came before they did. We never got to order more wine. Getting coffee with our dessert wasn't possible...it came after dessert. The menu offered multiple selections for each of the four courses. The lobster bisque and chocolate dessert were my best choices. I had crab cakes but they were not as good as Legal Seafood's. My husband and I both had the filet and mine was overcooked. The final bothersome issue was that I let the restaurant know ahead of time that Dec 31st was our 10th wedding anniversary, and we were unfortunately seated at the smallest table for two tucked against a wall. Luckily we were in good humor, enjoy each other's company, and took it all in stride.
The Kobe beef was superb but the lobster salad rolls were mediocre.
Thank you for a wonderful birthday breakfast!
Only reason I did not give food a 5 was because my fish was quite a bit too salty. Tasted like it was brined - not my favorite.
The ricotta lemon pancakes are amazing and the service is wonderful!
Impeccable service. Fantastic service. Wonderful ambience.
We had Sunday brunch. The food was outstanding as was the selection. It would have paid twice what they charged. Best brunch I have ever had.
Best service, food and atmosphere in Boston! Can't be beat!
Ate here several times during our stay at th Boston Harbor Hotel. Excellent food on all occasions, including breakfast (4 times), Sunday buffet, and dinner (the latter 4 times, incl. room service). Favorite main courses were the duck, the butter-poached lobster, and the halibut.
Not worth it for Thanksgiving. It wasn’t advertised as a buffet before 4. Did not have many accommodations for kids, which went against the advertising. 70$ for a buffet thanksgiving is just not worth the money. Server was not very communicative of what our dining options were as you could order off the regular menu or have the buffet. The experience was so disappointing for our family outing. My daughter hardly ate for 30$. It was like lighting money on fire. Maybe it’s better for regular service, but I would pass for Thanksgiving especially if you eat before 4.
Birthday, thanksgiving brunch
We had a lovely quiet lunch with a very good and attentive waitress. We will go back often.
I have never had a bad meal here. Service is polite, attentive, food is very good, and the view on a clear day is quite lovely. The room, even on a rainy day, is pleasant and cheerful.
A wonderful birthday brunch for our son. Our server Susan was terrific.
I had scallops that were so overdone, that they were completely inedible. They sent it back to the kitchen for another try, but still failed, miserably.
Breakfast buffet was excellent- amazing variety and a great value. Server was fantastic. Hostess was quite rude- she was not welcoming in any way and she seemed to display this same flat affect with everyone. Maybe place her behind the scenes.
No better place for any occasion! Amazing food and service and the view is second to none.
Always delicious food and wonderful service! We came here this time for breakfast the day after our wedding. Was not disappointed:)
This restaurant, close by, is not consistent. The ambience both in and out is outstanding. The service is generally very good. The food - up and down. My most recent meal was fair as the fish, a decent portion was overcooked. I'm not a big fan of plain tasteless rice, compatible with most people I know. Not just here, but in general. Mashed potatoes not an option here, french fries for mature people can be a digestion problem as it is with me. Vegetables scarce on the plate. I've had some pretty decent meals here, but if you are looking for something outstanding - try Meritage upstairs. Fabulous, always!
Excellent eggs Benedict, coffee, good service but the jam pot had been opened and sampled, but it was quickly changed out and they were slow to take our payment but it was busy
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The roll was very stale.
The atmosphere, view, food, and service were all top-notch. Be prepared to pay for the experience, though. A very nice restaurant to visit on occasion.
always a great spot - everyone commented on how good the food was, impeccable service - thank you!
Great food, beautiful view, excellent service-John T
I came here on a date. I have been to a lot of nice restaurants in the past and the value for money was not good here. I ordered the scallops with risotto. The scallops were over cooked and the risotto was not risotto it was more like wild rice. If it was risotto it was cooked incorrectly. My boyfriend ordered the steak and it had nothing on the side it was just a steak on a plate, and honestly it wasn't cooked well either. All I am saying is that for a meal that is 100-150 dollars it was not as well cooked as it should have been. Also the service was lacking for sure I had to ask the waiter for everything. He only came over to our table to take our drink orders when we arrived. After that I had to catch his eye for everything. For a four star restaurant it definitely needs to improve its service and food quality. That being said I am not saying its bad food I am just saying that it was not worth the money.
our server, Zhara, was very gracious and attentive. We enjoyed our meal and our table position right at the window.
Server was excellent and stood out- professional, responsive, timely - he made the experience memorable. Everything else was average.
Delicious food. Excellent service.
very fine meal, with excellent service, and elegant atmosphere
Seats outdoor at the waterfront has disadvantages despite the view. Blasts of sounds from the Odyssey cruise, crowds lining up for boarding etc. Nonetheless, waiting staff seem attentive. The heat lamps also made the terrace seats comfortable even in chilly weathers. Overall, the food was of good quality and service quite acceptable.
First time in Boston and wanted to try a nice restaurant. Food and ambience was great! The spicy margarita was amazing!
