My wife and I met friends and we had an absolutely fantastic meal at Rowe’s Wharf. Our waiter was excellent and the food was superb. My wife had the seared scallops and said it was one of the best she had ever had. My friend and I each got the halibut based on the Easter’s recommendation and it was truly one of the best pieces of fish I have ever eaten. Simply prepared and just melted in your mouth.
Ambience was nice but not overly fancy. Tables were a good distance apart so you could hear each other talk and have a nice conversation. We will definitely be back!
Jonathan, our waiter, was fantastic! Great menu recommendations, great timing, very attentive and very charming! A Great dining experience!
We started with Clam Chowder - which was one of the best I have every had. And it is served in a beautiful bowl with a fantastic piece of toasted bread. I had the pan seared scallops and they were cooked to perfection. My husband had the special for the evening which was a pan seared trout. Man the flavor was fantastic - an awesome smoky flavor. The entire dinner and service was fantastic.
Lovely lunch there, great food and excellent service, we will definitely return. Thanks!
Good little spot for a romantic dinner. The ambience is really nice. You can have a conversation. I had the most delicious lobster meal. I tried my husband’s fillet mignon and it was delicious. I might order that the next time we go to this restaurant. The waiter was really attentive, he checked on us periodically, and he was very efficient. I would recommend this place for romantic dinners and special occasions.
Fantastic find in Boston. Great ambience, exceptional service and some of the freshest seafood in town.
Best place in Boston for a business lunch when the conversation is important. Great and unimposing service, perfect food and quiet. Perfect!
First time eating here. Now our favorite for seafood in Boston.
Lovely first class restaurant with impeccable service and fantastic food.
We had an early dinner and got a table at the window, with a wonderful view of Boston harbor. The atmosphere was quiet and very comforting. The food was excellent (albeit not cheap). The recommended wine was also very good (also not cheap, but well worth it).
The service was also quiet and efficient. It was a great dining experience, and albeit somewhat expensive, we plan to come back for special occasion dinners. it was too cold to sit outside, but I believe that the outdoor seating experience in summer is probably also excellent! And the unrestricted view of the waterfront with no car noise provides an excellent dining location.
Our server (Adrien?) was exceptional. He and his assistants made you feel like you were the only diners in the restaurant and they catered to our every need.
Beautiful atmosphere and scenic view of the wharf. Food was excellent. Very accommodating. We showed up early and they were happy to seat us.
I took a group of colleagues to breakfast at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille. The food and service were excellent and it was nice to be able to chat comfortably among 7 people without any background noise.
Delicious food and amazing service. Only recommendation is to offer a few more dishes, menu was limited.
Excellent location, service was great. Food wasn’t that amazing, especially for the price. There was a mistake with my guest’s dessert, but they were nice enough comp both desserts, but it took longer for dessert than the entire meal.
All was fine and I would return again. Felt the halibut was perfectly cooked, but bland and then lost in the big plate of risotto which also did not have a distinctive taste. Soup was good and waitress recommended a smaller portion which pleased my guest from New York. Ambience for visit to Boston was perfect. perfect for her for Boston.
When we first got there we were not welcomed/waited on for 20 minutes or so until I went up to the host to let them know, even after that our service was lacking as we had 3 different people waiting on us. The food was good, but when you are eating at this type of restaurant it is the top-notch service that makes it worth it and we just did not experience that.
Food was delicious. Service attentive with good drinks. Cozy restaurant
It was our 10th wedding anniversary. From the Hostess to our Server and everyone in between, we were made to feel very special and we were even surprised with a couple glasses of Champagne to toast our special occasion. The ambiance was beautiful and the outside porch had an amazing view. Very memorable and special experience!! Thank you!
While the scenery and ambiance were amazing, the actual food left a lot to be desired. We were originally ordering cocktails and appetizers only, which were good. We then decided to stay and order dinner. My husband ordered red snapper and I ordered the seafood pasta. Both dishes very pretty, but VERY bland and just not what I expect at this price point— not necessarily mind-blowing, but at the very least a tasty dish. Very disappointing.
Our "go to" place in Boston. If friends coming in, it's the best place to give them a great Boston experience.
We were there on a Sunday evening and it was quiet and not busy inside. I guess everyone wants to be dining outside and we were the only ones who wish to have a quiet setting for conversation! Both food and service were excellent. We were a party of seven and each enjoyed their respective favorite kind of fish. We had the seafood tower, calamari and tuna for appetizers. For entrees we had the cod, swordfish, snapper and halibut. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and tasty everything was. We will definitely come back again
Excellent food, very good service, lovely location for my birthday dinner. We were disappointed in the wine list. We will return for dinner.
Excellent breakfast buffet!
Nice waterfront view with upscale seafood.
Outstanding service and food. Would definitely return and recommend.
We came here for a light lunch. We had the mussels, which were very flavorful. We sopped up every bit of the broth it was in. The soft shell crab was good, but certainly not the best I've had. It was a little small and a bit greasy. Not quite worth the price. I would come back here and try some of the entrees. The location is very nice.
An excellent experience, in every aspect. We arrived a bit early so we were able to have a drink and enjoy the beautiful view of Boston Harbor. It was a little too warm to dine outside so we were seated at a beautiful window table. One of our party is handicapped and the staff went out of their way to see to his comfort. Every employee from the ladies at the front desk to the servers and busmen were very friendly, highly knowledgeable and helpful.
The food was superb, served at proper temperatures, and delicious. One must try their Clam Chowder. To die for!
While this was not an inexpensive dining event, it truly was a dining experience. Kudos to all responsible for making this a great event for us.
I took my friend her for her birthday dinner - we rarely venture in town, but on Monday night of Labor Day weekend, I didn't think we would be fighting crowds, and I was right. It's one of my favorite venues on a summer night in the city. Getting seated outside was a bit disorganized, but worked out fine - not many diners there that night. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of harbor and boat views. I had my favorite lamb chop plate and it did not disappoint! I also had an heirloom tomato salad that was very tasty, although the tomatoes weren't quite up to par for this time of season. Kind of surprising because this is a quality restaurant but it was, afterall, the end of a busy holiday weekend. My friend had a lovely green salad, and the swordfish, which was delectable. We had a great time and lovely dinner. Would certainly recommend Rowe's Wharf Sea Grill.
Swordfish was bland. Steak was mediocre. Service and ambiance very good.
Nice setting and views of Boston Harbor; excellent seafood; attentive service.
Wait staff was very very good ! Very helpful with explaining the menu selections. Came round often to check if everything was right.
Food was very good. Had the Tuna and Salmon Poke. Very tasty.
There was a Blues Band playing just outside the restaurant area making the atmosphere wonderful.
Live the location. Picked a bad night. Both Dell and Volvo were having events. Really busy. Also didn’t really like the location of our table. I kept getting bumped every time people walked behind me.
Ambience was nice but unfortunately our salmon was dry, the halibut did not have any flavor. Very disappointed in the product, especially for the price tag.
My wife ordered lemon sole. It was very dry and over cooked. I had a rib eye steak. While this cut does come with some fat, my steak had a six ounce clump of fat at one end. Not the expected quality for a $40 steak.
The ambiance was great but the food was very disappointing.
I ate here twice during my most recent visit to Boston, and the experiences were fantastic both times.
The first time was a late-afternoon meal with my daughter, and the second was a dinner with my daughter and some friends. The first meal was inside: service was fantastic, the food came out in a timely fashion and was delicious. The second meal was outside: service was fantastic, the food came out in a timely fashion and was warm and delicious. The selection of beverages was great, both for kids and adults. Our servers in both cases had a wonderful manner and engaged with my daughter well.
All in all, I love this place and will continue to return whenever I am in Boston.
As a place to celebrate a special anniversary, it couldn't have been better. We got a table for two overlooking Rowe's wharf, and enjoyed watching watercraft crisscrossing the harbor, and savored the oncoming evening. I had some very good oysters to start, then we had the pan-roasted halibut, which was cooked perfectly. Both the thinly sliced cucumbers and saffron risotto were also delicious. A well-considered wine list, though not extensive, was much appreciated.
The food was just ok, for the price I would have expected better ($20 for a turkey club), had a reservation at 2:00 and we weren't seated until 2:30 even though there were empty tables. The waiter (Jaison I think his name was) was really the only bright spot of the lunch
I dined here with my Dad and sister.
My Dad had the swordfish, Lisa had the fish sandwich and I had the seared scallops.
All of our meals were delicious!
The service was great!
The view of the waterfront is beautiful!
It was a lovely location to enjoy lunch!
