Everybody was so helpful, from the host to the waitress and the bartender. The food was so delicious and we will definitely be back. Be safe out there!
Went for Sunday brunch. Great food, service, and the live music was amazing. I will definitely come back! Crowded, and had to wait even with a reservation but it wasn’t too long, maybe 7 min. I recommend a reservation because it gets very busy for brunch
From Beginning to END, my experience at ROW HOUSE HARLEM was Absolutely Amazing. The host were friendly. Douglass, my server was very informative and attentive. THE DJ was off the Hook, PLUS, the VIBE, the people, atmosphere and FOOD was everythang. This is my 2nd time coming to Row House Harlem and I will definitely make it a staple for Brunch and Dinner. I will encourage anyone, if you want to have a good time and don't mind a party (with LOUD Music) while you enjoy ya food, ROW HOUSE HARLEM is the place where you want to be.
Row House is lovely, it has a very cool atmosphere. The staff was fantastic and the food was amazing. I went there for brunch for my birthday and it was a great choice!
Great place for brunch, they were very accommodating and the jazz band was awesome.
The hostess who took care of getting us a great table and making sure we were happy at the bar until all of us arrived made us feel like we were in for an amazing night. However once we were seated things took a turn for the worse.
We waited about 45 minutes for drinks and never received the bread that other tables seem to be receiving. This was the classic “we got the wrong waiter“ moment. But it was frustrating because we were four couples getting together for the first time in three years without any of the kids. We had an excellent time because of the company, but we were there for about 3 1/2 hours And the first hour was spent trying to get water and drinks and bread.
Our appetizers and meals seem to come out at different times. The food was very hit or miss, although most people loved the mashed potatoes and the fish tacos. Overall the main courses were much better than the appetizers and they definitely made everybody happy.
Usually a 3 1/2 hour meal yes but couples were gone if they have not seen each other in a long time. But so many of us had babysitters and we were coming from all different parts of Queens and Westchester, so the extra hour cost us a lot of money! We would not return to this place which is too bad because they have really nice large tables for groups and they are very tastefully decorated
My second visit. Our group of 7 arrived for a late night (post-performance) dinner and we were not disappointed. The service was just attentive enough (not overbearing), except for needing to request more water for this thirsty group. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. At 11 pm, it was a little loud for dining, but good for the bar scene. Hear it's known for its Sunday Brunch. Would definitely go back. But don't get there too late or they might run out of their not-to-be-missed Deviled Eggs!
I considered whether or not I'd write the review. I decided to write it hoping management sees it. I've been to the restaurant several time - this last visit the service was TERRIBLE. My server took our order and I never saw him again. After looking for someone, I learned that he left. My new server didn't know he was our server until questioned.
There were times when there was no one visible on the floor.
I enjoy the food but service has to improve for me to give it another chance.
The energy, service, ambiance, and food was just perfect. It was a Saturday brunch and the DJ was vining. Definitely not the place for folks who want a quiet dining experience, but great for lifting the energy and spending quality time amidst laughs and sips
I would recommend Row House for Brunch with caution. It was really loud and we had to wait half-hour past reservation time for our table.
The food was very good and the service was very good.
The jazz trio was great. I wouldn't change a thing with them.
Great place to eat. Great atmosphere and professional staff. Love the live band!
always amazing food and service!!! A wonderful neighborhood gem!
The truffle grilled cheese with bacon is my favorite. The service could stand some improvement. It wasn’t terrible though. I like the idea of live music for brunch but it’s far too loud for the space. They perhaps need a different sound system or remove the amplifier.
I’ll go again.
Catching up with a friend. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the music very much.
The food was very tasty. The staff was courteous and respectful.
Great fun! Sat right next to DJ so was in prime area to get up and two step in between mimosas.
Row house provided excellent service. The food had to be sent back bc the steak overdone and hard. When management came to assist everything turned out perfect. They were apologetic and made sure the rest of our dinner was good.
The food wasn’t tasty, however the rum punch pitcher for $30 was a good deal. I had the wings and fries and the flavor and cook on wings was disappointing as was the temperature. The fries were pretty dry too. I wouldn’t order food here again but I would come for drinks if I’m in the area. The service was off too. The waiter came to our table and asked why he only got a $5 tip on a bill. I hasn’t even ate my food or paid my bill at this time. I just thought it was unprofessional and really rude to interrupt to ask someone at my table why they gave him a small tip. After that moment he didn’t come back to our table at all. I had to ask someone else to close me out.
This was my first visit to Row House and my whole experience was outstanding. The hostess was friendly and professional. We arrived just in time for our reservation and were seated right away during the busy brunch time.
Our server was great! He was also very friendly and helpful with the menu choices. There were two of us and we ordered quite a bit of food to sample - vegetable omelette, French toast, eggs, cheese grits (really cheesy) and bacon. Everything was delicious. A cocktail is also included in the price - I liked that a lot! There was not a dish we saw around the restaurant that did not look good. We can’t wait to go back!
Service and food were ok but the noise level was really unacceptably high. At full capacity you could neither hear the live music or your own voice. Very stressful Sunday brunch experience.
Saturday brunch was nice. Music could have been a bit less loud. Other than that. Highly recommend.
This place is definitely a HARLEM gem. We went to celebrate birthdays for 3 people in a large group and was accommodated very well. They sat us at a large regular rectangular table but I wish they sat us at a round table instead because it was hard to talk to/hear the people on the other end. There was also a dope live band but it drowned out the people on the other end of the table so we didn't really get to interact with them the whole time. That's really my only "complaint" I have about this spot though. The food was really good, the waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was just very lively and positive. It's on the upper west side so parking isn't horrible either if you're driving. They have this Cinnabon with Vanilla Ice cream on their dessert menu that tastes great, you gotta get it!
Row House is a great spot that I recommend, despite a somewhat average experience this time around. The vibe and crowd are always great, the food is always at least solid (sometimes very good, sometimes a few items are not great - Eg stale fries). The service is hit or miss quality and time wise, but always kind and friendly.
Good food and ambiance for Brunch but it's crowded and can get slow
RoW House is a great restaurant if you are someone who doesn't like to converse when you are having a meal. Like many places, these days, the noise level was way too high for someone my age. In addition to having no acoustical baffling, there was a Jazz ensemble that was amplified to the hilt, which made it even more noisy. It's hard to enjoy the experience when you have to shout to be heard. Even the waitress couldn't hear our order .
Aside from the noise, the food was really good and it was a terrific bargain for brunch. If the noise weren't a problem, I'd definitely go back. The burger looked great. Alas!
Great food, great ambiance and great service. Friendly staff.
It was party brunch and while it was hard to hear it was LIT! So fun and the food is always on point. Such a great place for a special event or meal with friends. Loved it!
Service is impeccable. The hostess and waiter were very friendly and accommodating. The food was good but the chicken could have had a little more flavor. I had the chicken and waffle. The had music playing, the vibe was great. We were eating and rocking to 90’s jams.
I would definitely go back.
Day party brunch (this past Saturday) with DJ was a bit too loud, and it was very hard to converse/catch up with friends, and I couldn’t hear my dining guests across the table from me. If you are looking for a loud party brunch, Saturday might be a good choice. I am used to dining at this restaurant for brunch on a Sunday where there is a live jazz quartet and it is much quieter and ideal for chatting.
The music was waaaay too loud! it’s a restaurant not a club!! You go to dine & enjoy time with friends or you’re on a date, so you actually want to hear the person talking and enjoy some music. The music should not be blasting! it’s so annoying & ridiculous! also the fish taco shell was doughy and tasted like it needed to cook longer, and the fish wasn’t seasoned at all...
Excellent service. Doug was amazing! Food was great and was served in a timely manner!
Service could be better if they had more than 1 waiter that night. It took 20 mins for someone to finally come after seating us to get our drink order. Thank goodness the hostess realized to take our order and serve us instead. Also the music was not as great as the other days I’ve been here. Disappointing as Row House has the space, unlike Corner Social, drinks and potential to be a major IT place in Harlem.
Service was really great and the food ok (eggs Benedict were fine but the mac & cheese had too much pepper in it) but it was during their “party brunch” and the music was way too loud.
Our server was amazing and the food was so good, I would greatly recommend. Will be going back.
