Simply the best Pappardelle Bolognese anywhere. And the focaccia dipped in olive oil is to die for. Rovezzi's is our go-to place. Never disappoints.
Food is always amazing. Live in Boston, but this is one of my favorite places to eat.
First time there, was pleasantly satisfied. Hope to book a bridal shower there.
Rovezzi's never lets you down. The food, service and quality was absolutely perfect. We will definitely return and recommend to others. The entire experience could not have been better. We highly recommend this restaurant to all. It's also worth the drive and you will not be disappointed!
We have enjoyed Rovezzis many times. This time however was not so wonderful. We are in second floor but prefer downstairs. Lighting too bright. Music was exceptionally loud but singer was great! Enjoyed the songs he sang but again loud.
Our waiter was a nice young man but way too attentive if that's possible. Although he stated he was not rushing us, he was. He meant well but we did not need to be informed about the status of each course therefore we did not have a chance to enjoy our cocktails , apps came quickly and then dinner before we finished apps! I hate to sound ungrateful and petty but it was not the experience we usually have there.
It also would be nice to have a vegetarian soup choice.
Food was good and we do love coming there so we will try again!
THe food and service is almost always outstanding. The bread, oil and cheese is out of this world...you could fill up just on that if not careful.
Great dinner as usual. Erin was our waitress and she was exceptional!
This restaurant is always fantastic!! Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great Chef!
I highly recommend! Food is always great and consistent!
We had eaten there before and had good memories of the experiences. This time around none of the four of us was happy with the quality of the food. Especially, since the prices are those of a higher quality establishment.
A friend and I went to Rovezzi's recently to enjoy a much needed quiet dinner. We were greeted warmly at the front desk and immediately seated at our private table ( as requested on Open Table). We were treated like VIP's and our waitress could not have been nicer nor more professional. Our food was top notch , with tender sirloin steaks, juicy meatballs and " marvelous mashed". We found the burrata and spinach salad to be a bit bland with not enough dressing but the cheese was outstanding and every bite was gone quickly. We each had a homemade dessert, lemon curd tart and piping hot apple crisp. Everything was executed perfectly and we both felt refreshed and revitalized after such a wonderful meal.
Fantastic food & exceptional service! It was my husbands birthday and he had never been there before, they put us upstairs in the corner which was perfect & romantic, had never been upstairs before and our waitress Chelsie , was right on the ball! Everyone there was so nice and very professional and helped to make it a great 54th birthday for my husband! Thank You Rovezzi's !!!
Rovezzi's is our go to place that never disappoints for special occasions. After enjoying a glass of wine at the bar we were promptly seated at a quiet corner table complete with an anniversary card signed by the staff. Our waitress greeted us and went over the menu and the evening specials. You must try the brussel sprout salad! We both chose the salmon which was cooked to perfection and accompanied by different and delicious selection of vegetables. It's quite obvious the owner/chef takes great pride in his restaurant. Highly recommended!
great place, great food, nice people - very accommodating
no matter what we asked - we never got a "no"
Excellent cuisine. Noise level was on the loud side in the 2nd floor main dining area. With that said, still worth going for the food and outstanding service.
The portions were small, considering the price
The noise level was very annoying
Have had much better Bolognese dish at two other places
Just was not as great as we expected. Feeling of some of our people who had been here previously was that it had changed in a negative way.
This was my 2nd favorite rest. in the world. It was a speciel occasion or a want to impress rest. The quality of the food has decreased significantly. Everything else was as i remembered and expected. The filet was tough and tasteless and the clams and shrimp with linguine was dry, cold and the shimp was very tough. I already recom. this place to a friend. I hope he isn't as disappointed as i was. It was a sad evening as i took friends there to impress them. They weren't nor was my wife and i.
Restaurant is our go to place whenever we are near. The table was ready for us when we arrived. Our waiter was extremely plesant, engaged and helpful. Food was incredible and delicious. Bread so good, oil and cheese wonderful, tomatoes and basil so fresh, entre was fresh homemade pasta with wonderful lobster ricotta. Wine a perfect compliment. All around enjoyable meal.
Chef Chris and his team did an amazing job!
By far one of the best dining experiences in New England
True Italian food! Very friendly staff, providing exceptional service.
We decided to go for a special occasion and we had a great meal and fabulous service. Our only complaint, and I hate calling it that is that my fiance's first draft beer tasted off. The situation was quickly remedied and we appreciated the effort of our server to make us completely happy. The food was fantastic! And we will definitely be back!
💜 amazing food as usual! We had the pumpkin pie martini, wonderful, excellent appetizers, and entrees were more than enough! Delish deserts!!
Fabulous wait service but my steak was ineatable. Music was too loud, couldn't enjoy conversation with my friends.
Always a great place, Chris is always willing to go out of his way to make your experience more enjoyable. I'd recommend it to anyone!
Old fashioned new England atmosphere. Food was great and the service wonderful.
We dine at Rovezzi's pretty frequently. We love the food and the ambience and always go here for a date night. We always make reservations and usually we go on a Friday or a Saturday. We went on a Tuesday for our second anniversary. Not knowing if it would be busy or not I decided to make a reservation and mentioned it was a special night for us. When we arrived we had an excellent table with a card signed by all the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. It was so very kind! The food and wine were spectacular as usual and the service impeccable. We really love it here and would recommend to anyone
Have been here before and the experience was better than my recent visit.
We were stuck in a back corner next to a very loud table of 8 people,
all trying to out talk each other. The service was slow and noise level
so loud could hardly hear the waiter. The food was good, but appetizer
was not as good as previous visit.
We arrived in town on Friday evening with our 9 year old son and were pleased to find this welcoming, casual spot. The staff and service were very good, all of our dishes (seafood and pasta dishes) were delicious, if a bit large. The noise level was a little high, mostly due to a large party nearby and tables being quite close to each other. Overall nice value - would return.
food was great. wait staff needs more personality. they were kind of 'robotic'. overall we had a great time and would go back
We were seated next to a loud table only mildly annoying. Waitress recommended parmigiano dish and bolognese dish and both were excellent. Service was excellent! Our water glasses were filled often. A little pricey but it was excellent...
I had a special: pasta and sausage, so amazing!! Love the foccacia bread...I dream about it!! Such good food. Always amazing.
Dinner at Rovezzi's is always special no matter the occasion. It is our go to place. A must for anyone in Sturbridge.
I used to love this restaurant. My mom who is deceased took me for all my birthdays so I took my boyfriend for his. We both love Bolognese and were sure rovessis would have the best. It was horrible and burnt. He didn't complain but I did. They took it off the. To late to more. Now every time we go past restaurant we make some sort of joke. Really ruined his birthday. Was so excited to go and saved my money for the surprise but ended up apologizing for the ruined night. I don't look at my email very often but I saw this today and was glad to tell my story
Come here at least once a year for a special treat. Live in Boston, this place is still one of my favorite Italian restaurant.
Rovezzi’s is a good restaurant in Sturbridge, Mass with a good chef and owner. The food is flavorful, but not always prepared correctly and with consistency. The service is also inconsistent. Our recent meal was evidence of this analysis. We ordered our drinks first. About five minutes later the waitress took our order for our appetizers and our meal. Our appetizers came within 10 minutes; we still did not have our drinks. We had to send the waitress back to get them. While we started to enjoy our appetizers, our meals came out? We were not even half way through our appetizers. The server noticed our displeasure and bee lined it back to the kitchen. After our appetizers were finished, our meals suddenly returned with a new server. When asked if these were the same meals that were brought to our table 15 minutes ago, he said he just came from upstairs. These are mistakes that do not reflect well on the restaurant. These are mistakes of a new inexperienced staff with no direction, not a seasoned restaurant staff like Rovezzi’s.
The Food: It’s wildly inconsistent. Sometimes it is fantastic, sometimes it’s just average, vowing I will not return. Case in point, our meal was the scallops with risotto. The scallops were fine; the so called risotto was watery and weak, like rice floating around in sausage and sundried tomatoes. The desert was an apple and pear crumble that came in a piping hot skillet. Was it great, was it bad? It was just average. Our experience was on a week night when it was really not that busy. I felt rushed and some frustration set in. The price is not cheap and I can sincerely say I did not feel this was money well spent.
Everything about the place was great but a little pricey. We sat near the kitchen access doors so we had a lot of waiter/waitress movement but it was still fairly quiet. A great evening for our 53rd anniversary.
I ordered the homemade linguini dish and they were out of linguini. My second choice was the salmon.....they were out of that as well. I had a small dinner salad for my meal. I have never experienced a restaurant out of 2 dishes- especially when the menu was so limited. We will NEVER go back.
The food at Rovezzi's was spectacular. Everyone needs to try the brussel sprout ceasar salad!! My friend and I both had pasta dishes and they were outstanding. The only small complaint that I have is that we were seated next to a table of 6 of which one of the "gentlemen" was quite inebriated and very loud causing everyone around him to have to turn up the volume to be heard. Made it difficult to have a conversation. I would suggest a training session for the waitstaff on how to deal with this type of situation.
Food was excellent as was the service. A little loud once the live music started.
The waiters were exceptional!. WE had another waiter other than ours walk by and stopped and asked if there was anything he could do for us. Outstanding gentlemen. All. WE had a wonderful day. Thank You.
Good food at a moderate price. A greater selection would be nice. More fresh fish selections are recommended.
