Rovezzis is one one of those neighborhood restaurants that you enjoy visiting and get excited to take your out of town guests to. This past dinner was no exception and our guests enjoyed everything about the experience. From enjoying a few drinks at the bar, the Arancini appetizer, to the Veal Limone, it was a great dining experience.
We go for all our special occasions. Birthdays, anniversaries, or when someone special is visiting. We love this place so much! It was so pretty and inviting inside with fall decorations.
I have been coming to Sturbridge for years for the antique fairs, and never really looked for fine dining. This time, I came up with friends to drive Palmer Motorsport Park. Both of them are "foodies" and Rovezzi's was on both if their lists. We started with a assortment of appetizers, all excellent and we each had a different entree, again all excellent. I had a pasta Bolognese that was possibly the best I've had in years
Definitely returning next time in the area.
Making our reservation I told them it was our first time and our anniversary. Owner even came to our table with a signed card from the staff. Our only issue and it was a slim one, we were seated near a door and it definately was too cold. We will go back
We have enjoyed Rovezzi's for many years and we have never been disappointed. Always a satisfying experience.
Just the best. Chris Rovezzi can cook for us anytime.
The food was exceptional, just as we revered from years ago. Service was just ok, it was my birthday and my dad asked for something. The waitress was not very responsive and made us feel like we were asking for a freebie or making her go out if her way to try and make it feel like a special occasion. Would recommend just ask for quiet area if there is one.
I've had good meals in the past but this past Saturday evening we both ordered the Sea Bass. I believe the fish was bad ( had a strong odor and taste.) We shouldn't have eaten it but did and paid for it the next day! In fareness however, our dinner guests ordered the veal parm and enjoyed it.
Food & service was awesome as usual !!! The homemade pasta is always wonderful but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Mmmmm good.
Another relaxing evening at Rovessi's! Despite it being Brimfield Flea Market week, my fiancé and I went to Sturbridge for dinner. The restaurant was packed, but the kitchen still turned out amazing meals. The staff was quick and we never waited too long for our meals. The steak tenderloin special was my fiancé's favorite restaurant meal in a long time.
We were seated and waited on in short order. Ordered an appetizer. Unfortunately it was tasteless and rubbery. We didn't have much of it. The waitress was clearly concerned and removed it from our tab. The remainder of the meal was quite good, including dessert.
I have eaten at this establishment many times and the chef never ceases to amaze me on how he can make food taste so wonderful. Always an experience.
At first glance I was a bit put off by the bar and loud bar goers, as I was under the assumption that it was strictly a nice fine dining restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought my gf and I upstairs to a much quieter, more ambient room. The servers were all very polite and all wished my gf and I a happy anniversary (I had told them before hand it was our anniversary), they also left a card for us which they all signed! Now to the food. It was amazing. Both my gf and I couldn't stop eating, it really was one of the best, if not the best Italian dining experiences I've ever had. We got a creme brulee to share for desert and it was very good as well. When the check came I was stunned. It was very affordable for the quality of service and food. I will definitely go back for another special occasion. Can't believe I waited this long to try it.
Our waitress seated us right on time for our reservation. She suggested that we buy several of the small plates as they are "really small". We started out with a caprese style salad, followed by a fig jam and carmelized onion flat bread, meatballs in Sunday gravy and pesto arancini. Everything was delicious and plenty for 2. When our dinners arrived, both of us were feeling full and could not really enjoy the delicious meals we had ordered. I ordered a filet which was slightly overcooked and a bit tough . The mashed potatoes were delicious. Overall, a very good experience, we would come again, for sure. No room for the homemade desserts. Maybe next time we should skip the apps and go for the desserts. We would recommend this restaurant.
Good Italian food, limited menu. Poor table choice next to kitchen. Service was great, very attentive servers.
