Just amazing. I can’t say this strongly enough: EAT. HERE.
Amazing Chef selections and Amazing foods!! LOVE this plaace!!
Waiter was terrible. He forgot to put in one of our parties entrees that had a 20 minute cook time. So they rest of us had our food while one had none. Once he made that error, he never came back to our table. So, that left ya having to grab the other waitress all night to get anything. Normally everything here is perfect, but this waiter needs to go.
This was our first time here! We are staying in Destin so it’s about a 25 minute drive. Well worth the trip!!! Definitely love the long table concept! Met some lovely people. If you want to go for a private dinner, this is not for you. We also didn’t know Tuesday was tapas and were expecting to do the tasting menu so we were a little disappointed. We were able to create our own “tasting” with the offerings. So it ended well. The food was fabulous and the staff was great! Worth finding!!!
The food was good but not outstanding. It was pricey for what we got served on the chef selections.
Excellent food !
Excellent culinary experience. Highly recommend.
Awesome experience! We love meeting new people due to the large farm tables. The food is always fantastic!
Great job by the Chef and the Staff. Bobby did a great job waiting on us!
Fresh, innovative cuisine. Communal tables or sit at bar. Small intimate dining but informal and welcoming. Tucked away in unlikely location. Hidden gem.
Amazing. An absolute must!
Tonight was our first night in the area, and I brought 3 self-professed "foodies." Roux 30A was a HUGE HIT! I cannot say enough about how special this restaurant is and Chef Nikhil and our waiter, Shawn, made everything so memorable! Black and Bleu, Soft shell crab, the 1855 steak and the Branzino - 5 stars! Fantastic wine...I highly recommend this dining experience and hope you leave with the same feelings we did about our experience... Bon Appetit!!!
Fabulous as always! Service and food top notch!!!
It was a very intimate and unique experience at Roux 30a, the food was delicious and the staff very friendly. I can not wait to go back!
Chef Nikhil always has a creative menu. This time he certainly did not disappoint, from the tender tile fish to the well prepared branzini. If you haven't dined at Roux 30A, you need to. In addition to Friday and Saturday evenings, they now have sushi on Sundays, and once a month there is the Around the World series on a Wednesday and Thursday. We dined there three times in 11 days and would go back without hesitation.
Atmosphere is wonderful. Gal who seated and waited on us first delightful and waiter was good too but seemed to forget about us towards the latter part. Lamb was over cooked so much could not cut w/ knife, prime rib was well done - tough. Asparagus crab soup very tasty, light and fresh. For the $$$$$ you would think they would change out the flatware between courses w/ we had to save it each time.
Roux 30A is tucked back in a strip office park. You’ll be pleasantly surprised from the moment you walk in the door. The owner-chef knows his stuff and varies the menu each night with various seafood and meat dishes. There is seating at two large farm tables and at the bar. You’ll usually meet people who share your same love for food, wine and a great experience.
The Dinner Club experience at Roux 30A was superb!!! The detail in presentation was exquisite. The menu had something for everyone. Our food was extraordinarily scrumptious!!! We will definitely be back soon. Thanks Nikhil and crew!
As always, Roux 30A didn't disappoint. This is our favorite restaurant on 30A for a reason. Great food, great atmosphere, AWESOME restaurant. Great for a fun dinner with friends and great to meet new friends. Either way, Roux 30A won't disappoint.
The most unique dining experience in our panhandle area. The creativity, taste and service are unparalleled. My favorite!
This is a great experience for foodies. We recommend sitting at the bar where you can watch all the food prep, cooking and plating and interact with Chef Nikhil and his staff.
Awesome place. The ambiance was perfect. The seating style encourages you to meet new people. The food was fantastic and unlike anything you will find anywhere else. Great food, great meal, great atmosphere. Very special place.
Outstanding! Highly rec! Let the staff pic your food and wine!
Yes, yes, yes! Best eatery anywhere. Ambiance galore and amazing food. Thank you!
Creative and exceptionally fine cuisine in a lively atmosphere. A bit pricey but the value is there. Be prepared to sit at a group table with others and perhaps meet new friends.
Wonderful Valentine’s dinner. Chef Nikil is amazing.
New Year’s Eve
We made a reservation by chance for New year's eve. It was truly special. The restaurant is small, the kitchen and dining room are all one, limited bar service, but the food and staff are spectacular.
New Year’s Eve was certainly special thanks to the innovative menu and 5 course tasting menu. The wine list is extensive you will definitely find something of your liking, sold by the bottle or glass. We were lucky enough to have a fabulous meal, and before each course the young chef explained exactly what it was and how it was prepared, listening to all the different guesses from other patrons was interesting. We left satisfied but not overly stuffed which was wonderful. If I had to address one criticism it would be the seating , we were a party of 4 sitting between 2 other parties of 4 and it made conversation very difficult the dining area is 2 very large tables that sat 12 in all. Being in the middle was a drawback but not significant enough to take away from the marvelous experience this restaurant had to offer. I highly recommend trying it out, especially if your a foodie! 5*’s for sure. Thank you to the wait staff for making this a New Years to remember
Sat at chef's table. If you want to be in all the action, this is the place to be. Nikhil is an extremely creative chef. A twist or little surprise with every dish. We had the tasting menu and let him do whatever he desired. Limited days that he is open so make sure you check the website and facebook page. Overall great experience.
What a find. As good a meal as you’d have anywhere. Lots of folks were ordering the tasting menu, although we just went with a salad and entree. Had a roasted pumpkin with greens salad, which was excellent. Then had Cobia, pan sautéed with just a touch of butter and seasoned with salt and pepper. Served over some vegetables. Simple yet really outstanding. The Cobia was prepared exactly as we requested (well done), yet was not dry and retained its flavor.
It’s called a “dinner club”. Only open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night. 2 tables of 12 plus a few seats where the kitchen is set up. You’ll be dining with people you don’t know but it wasn’t intrusive. Nice decorations on the table although it’s in a nondescript building of 3-4 spaces for small businesses. It’s the food that brings you here and makes you glad you come.
Wait staff was stretched a bit but helpful and attentive. No bread was served and, as a bread guy, I missed that and feel it would have been a good compliment to the originality of the meal if an unusual home made bread or roll had been served.
The chef is originally from Atlanta, studied culinary in Miami and been in food business for over a decade.
He’s also opening a noodle bar near by in the near future. We enjoyed chatting with him and he obviously loves what he does.
Don’t miss chance to share fine dining in a causal table
Great place - superb food
We've now tried Roux 30A 3 times and the food and ingredients are really outstanding. The menu is diverse, but almost all the dishes were even better than expected. Wine list is not extensive, but there are solid wines to be found. Definitely plug the address into your GPS because it's a little hard to find. If we had one complaint it would be that the service is a bit too fast. We had a 6 course meal that only lasted 1:15 from the time we arrived to when we were walking out the door. Ideally the courses would be spread out a little more. It's definitely a cool place worth checking out, but do be aware you are seated at communal tables, so it's a chance to get to know your neighbors and make some new friends!
Four of us attended at 6:30 on a Friday night. At that time, there were only two others in the restaurant, and just 3 other couples came in before we left about an hour later. The ambiance of the restaurant is of a work camp. There are two large tables, each holding 12 diners, and a bar holding 8 (?) more. The kitchen is small and open to the room, and a large storage area and commercial refrigerators are along one wall. Service was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable. There is a menu with 3 choices from each of 5 categories of food, for fish, meat, vegetables, etc. The tasting menu is prepared with something from each of the categories, along with a desert. As the four of us were seated together, we all had to order the tasting menu or pick separately off the menu. We all picked the tasting menu. We asked if there were suggestions for wines for the tasting menu, but there is no wine pairing. We were directed to a nice Sauvignon Blanc that went well with most of the dishes, for $33. The items' presentations were very pleasing to the eye, and in most cases, they were excellently thought out and prepared. The potato soup, and the mushroom ravioli, were the biggest hits of all the items for our group. Unfortunately, the ribsteak with the veal reduction had a significant portion of fat that two of us could not (would not) eat. Additionally there was a clove of roasted garlic presented on the top of the steak. I suppose garlic lovers would enjoy it, but it did not help the reduction and would even have been a little overwhelming, in my opinion. It's complication of the dish did not enhance the dish overall. Other dishes were very good, but not exceptional. As with all tasting menus, the portions were small, and having only 6 left us a little hungry at the end, but the cost was just $95/person, which is a very good value.
We are regulars. It’s the best restaurant on the 30A and would be successful in any major city in that he US
I had the chef's tasting menu at Roux30a. The restaurant itself is lovely and welcoming. Each dish on the menu was exquisite, and Chef Nikhil happily explained every one. The meal and experience were absolutely worth a trip to Grayton Beach.
We chose the tasting menu. I found the food very salty. When I asked for fresh silverware after the third course, I was told they really didn’t have enough to replace it. I did appreciate the waitress arguing with me when I asked.
The prawns were extremely fishy and tough.
The veal reduction on the steak was cold.
I thought it was odd we had to share two deserts between 4 people.
I felt the meal was rushed. I will not return.
