The service and food are fairly steadily reliable. It's a very nice, warm, very casual atmosphere. At least for dinner the portions have become a bit smaller and prices higher for some dishes.
Had a nice new year eve dinner with my family, good food, good ambiance, not too expensive and very kind service. Would recommend and surly will come back if in NY again.
We took our family there as the menu seemed it had a lot to offer. Something for everyone. The quality of the food was terrible, even a basic hamburger. The cleanliness was below standard, and the prices were high for the quality of food they served. I would not recommend and I would never go back.
Siamo arrivati in ritardo a causa di un contrattempo. Avevamo avvisato ed il proprietario ci ha riservato il posto. Gentilissimo davvero. Cibo buono. Ambiente carino con ottima musica Il gestore davvero cordiale e disponibile
It's exactly as advertised. Decent prices (by NY standards) , basic American food. Good place for kids.
We were going to a performance across the street. It was fine for our purposes, friendly and low-key, good value.
Yummy burgers! The passion fruit Cosmopolitans were a tasty way to end a fantastic stay in the city.
Great neighborhood eatery. Good food, large portions, good service.
The waitress was very unfriendly! Since we are tourists from Switzerland our English is not that fluent. Instead of helping us to find the right meal, she was rude. The restaurant was not that busy, thus she had enough time to do her job.
Service was OK, was way to loud in the restaurant. Food was good value.
Best burger in all NYC!
All the food is excellent. We had cheeseburgers that were perfectly medium rare, tender and juicy and the sweet potato fries melted in my mouth, crispy on the outside and like butter on the inside. I have never had fries like this ever. I brought an extra order home in a doggie bag. We got a window seat at a high top table that we enjoyed. Friendly service makes you feel at home. Dogs allowed at the side walk tables. next time we bring out dogs.
Made a reservation for myself. Was told to sit anywhere and then waited for someone to come and hand me a menu or offer me a glass of water. The staff seemed more interested in messing around with one another than serving me. After ten minutes of being ignored, I left and went down the street to Bar Bacon. Won’t make the mistake of walking into Route 66 again.
Food and ambiance nothing special, but the burger is very decent. Very friendly staff and service.
Great food, with happy hour specials every day of the week. The service was nice too, and the atmosphere was quaint with a decent amount of outdoor seating.
We had a large party of 14 and although the place is fairly small they were very welcoming and accommodating. We were comfortably seated and the service was excellent. We were there for the happy hour so we ordered a bunch of appetizers- which were good except for the nachos- they were disappointing. The beers on tap and the drinks were good but the sangria was too sweet. Otherwise, a great and welcoming place to stop in for a drink, a delicious hamburger and a welcoming and accommodating staff.
Friendly staff, great customer service. Food was good. Quick service.
Great outdoor seating
Really friendly team and good food. Nothing too fancy relaxed evening good fun
Food was very good and the staff were very generous
First time to Rt. 66. Delicious burgers. Nice, relaxed causal atmosphere. We'll be back to enjoy the other options on the menu. Have recommended this spot to friends.
I ordered salmon on my Caesar salad. Salmon piece was very thin and on the dry side. Guacamole was very good. Bison burger a little better than average
Amazing food at good prices, we both had the 16oz ribeye which was incredible. We shared the beef tacos to start with which were delicious. Next time we visit New York we will definitely be back!
Service was friendly enough but slow. Nearly everyone in our group was finished before my son got his burrito despite several inquiries. My Bison burger was dry and tasteless. Positives: they accommodated our large group and we could mostly hear each other.
The menu shown on open table is not the menu in use at the restaurant. There is no catfish, crawfish or BBQ shrimp. It needs updating. We were disappointed .
Great variety on the menu and everyone enjoyed their food. We had a group of six that they accommodated with no problem. The service was great, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was welcoming. I will be back!
Excellent location, good food, friendly and helpful staff.
This is a fun cafe in Hell's Kitchen....it is a neighborhood bar...the kind I always look for in New York City...definitely not a tourist trap...
Had another amazing lunch at Route 66. The food is always perfect....such a massive menu with really great choices for all tastes and they even cater to people with allergies. I’m allergic to milk and wheat and they still made a deliciously perfect burger with an excellent gluten-free bun. Our server Nick was phenomenal. I Love This Restaurant!!!
Good food. Reasonable Prices. Burgers were excellent!
Food was well prepared and very good. Service was good. Size was smaller than appearances on-line. Good restaurant for a neighborhood, family-type atmosphere.
Loud, hectic, bad service, slow service, inexperienced staff. Doors were open to Ninth Avenue because it was a nice evening - but that brought in an army of flies.
This place has terrific delivery and take out - this is the first time actually sitting down. I won't be back.
The service is good as long as you don't have a problem. If you do have an issue, they have no sense of customer service or satisfaction.
In April we were driving past this restaurant and since my husband was turning 66 in June, he insisted that we go to celebrate his birthday. Coming in from NJ it was easy to make a reservation via Open Table and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We had drinks and ordered burgers, which were excellent! Great little spot on 9th Avenue! Definitely will go back next year for my birthday!
This is my go-to restaurant with a group of friends. The menu is diverse enough to accommodate vegetarians, carnivores, picky eaters, etc. The space is large enough and configurable to handle a group of 8 easily, and access via subway or car is good, with parking in the neighborhood, even on the street.
Delicious food, great service, excellent experience!
Don’t waste your time. We made a reservation; arrived on-time and the guy at the door said he needed 45min to set us up...because he "just read the reservation" and that he "did not confirm the reservation, that internet (OpenTable) confirmed the reservation" (whatever that means). All this while standing in a tiny hallway that smelled like feet. Don't recommend it at all. Bad attitude. Small and smelly place.
This is one of our favorite restaurants....it's a neighborhood gem with a huge menu, excellent food, excellent service, and great prices!
Menu has many choices! Great salads! Bartender made a special martini for me!
