With unrivalled views of the Sawtooth Mountains and accessible only by gondola, the Roundhouse Restaurant has been serving up memorable meals, soul-warming drinks, and stunning views since 1939. Whether you are joining us for a relaxing lunch on the deck, or an post ride beverage and refuel, Roundhouse offers the authentic charm of historic Sun Valley with a spectacular on-mountain dining experience.

Reservations are recommended for lunch and require the purchase of a foot traffic pass to access the gondola.

Reservation changes and cancellations require 48 hours notice. Last minute cancellations and no shows will be charged $25 per person.

    Food was excellent. At 7600 feet above Sun Valley on Bald Mtn - you can't beat the incredible panoramic view. Taking the Gondola up was a blast.

    Enjoyed our lunch on the patio overlooking Sun Valley and points beyond--hard to beat that view! Our lunch was delicious--hubby had wagyu burger and I had the lamb burger. Service was swift, attentive and friendly. Prices are high, but I guess that is to be expected.

    We normally love Roundhouse and have been in awe of the food there. I don’t know what happened between 2022 and 2023, but we were terribly disappointed. The kitchen was swamped, which we understand can happen, but it literally took ONE HOUR AND 20 MINUTES from the time we ordered till the time we were served (there were only 4 of us). People all around us were getting served, but when we inquired about where our food was we kept getting excuse after excuse. We were told 3 times it would be 5 more minutes. It took 30 minutes from the first time we were told our food was next up. The real disappointment was the food. The watermelon caprese salad sounded good, but it had a very strange flavor. Even the burger was disappointing — barely any meat and strange flavor. We really hope they get their act together so we can enjoy the meals again. Definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.

    Been going there for years, this was a good year, SV does a great job training their staff, they were on point, just a bit slow getting to us at first but smooth after that. Prices are up, but what isn't:-)

    The Roundhouse has been & will continue to be one of my favorite venues to mark both special occasions or to make a normal day special. My family & I headed there for lunch to celebrate my 40th birthday and had the best time. Our server, Jason, was fantastic - happy, communicative, gracious, took a bunch of pics for us, he did a wonderful job of adding to our experience. The food is delicious & provides a wide range of flavors & dietary preferences. (I had the lamb burger - so good.) And the history & the view...well, that's really why we go, right? I never tire of being there regardless of if I'm with a group or solo. I always leave with new beautiful memories.

    Bar ran out of Blue Ice Potato vodka from IDAHO. Server didn’t even know it was available. The worst soggiest pickles I’ve ever had. The extra $$$ for the truffle fries is an insult

    My first time this summer. Took friends up. The service and of course the ambiance/ views were perfect. Last summer the food was excellent- this year it was barely edible. So disappointing

    Fabulous views! Great service. Truffle fries are a real treat! Bread on our burgers tasted stale and was quit tough, like it had been microwaved?!? A bit pricey fr quality of food but the atmosphere/location cannot be beat.

    Wonderful old building with an interesting history! Fabulous lift service to the restaurant with stunning views everywhere. Attentive staff, mostly foreign-born and relocated to Idaho. Fresh ingredients, good menu and nice wine and bar list.

    We were so excited to try this restaurant. We had reservations & still had to wait. The service was incredibly slow although everyone was so polite & very nice. Over all it was over priced, had only a couple of GF options and it was a slow slow lunch.
