Brilliant evening, great service with perfect light touch. Food exquisite. Wine list splendid.
Always a wonderful experience. Their attention to detail really makes a difference.
Outstanding marriage of textures and flavours! Lovely wait staff and ambiance. A new favourite!
We were over from the UK and looking for a special venue for our anniversary. Rouge didn’t disappoint.
Our host was very friendly and attentive without being invasive. He was very knowledgeable and happy to discuss both the food and the wine pairing in depth.
The tasting menu was fantastic and creative with the portion sizes enough over the six courses to leave you fully satiated. The wine pairing was a great accompaniment with the Fois Gras/Riesling and Cheese and Honeycomb/Amontillado Jerez (blended with Pedro Ximenez) pairings a highlight.
Happy Anniversary message on the desert plate was a nice touch from Rouge too.
Rouge is located in an a historic setting with each room well decorated and not overly filled with tables.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend Rouge. We hope to come back in the future.
New Years Eve with the Chefs tasting menu. Great food and service. We had things we would never otherwise would have tried and it was great. Excellent flavour and served to perfection. Everything would have been 5*, however we were on the second floor and the dining room was freezing cold. They gave another table blankets and another couple asked to change tables away from the window. In the future, we will request a main floor table.
Happy New Year!!
Food and ambience is just as expected - spectacular. Service was warm and on time. We came here for my wife’s birthday and they surprised her with a nice signed card, which was really nice.
We would come back again but be more cautious of their dairy uses since my wife’s food may have come into contact with dairy and she had an allergic reaction to it. They were aware of her allergies when we ordered.
Last year, the food was delicious. Last nigh our food were ok. Main entree was warm and overall it wasn't the same like we got before :(
This was the second time I had taken my wife here. The first time was a couple of years ago, and the food was spectacular. This time unfortunately both our meals were just ok. For the price...I was certainly expecting more. We both agreed we could have made made both of our meals at home at the same quality or better, for half the price.
The restaurant was not busy at all. It was a Sunday evening at 6pm. The sauce that came with my bison cheeks had dried around the edges, meaning it had sat for some time under some heating element. Both our meals lacked salt, the bison cheeks were quite flavourless, and tasted like beef that needed seasoning. I will never understand why “high end” restaurants refuse to put salt and pepper out on the tables....like it would be an insult to the chef if you were to add anything more to their “perfectly”cooked meal.
I am a simple welder, more than happy with a nicely cooked T-bone. But I am more than happy to pay more for better quality grub. This was a pedestrian effort at best. Most definitely not worth the $200+ that I paid. Both times we have been to Rouge were during the winter months, one was great, this one bad.... so we agreed to give this restaurant one more shot this summer. Certainly hoping for better next time.
Great service and terrible intelligent food. Try the on a cotta desert!
Very friendly lively pro-active staff appeared always on time. Love the sense of tasting menu and painting on the wall. Just was bit annoyed by noise from the guests in another room.
Definitely it's the perfect place before or after jazz bar in Inglewood.
We had a family dinner/celebration here this past weekend and we were again delighted with the service, the ambiance and especially the food. Everything was delicious - they handled an allergy very well and made our evening very special. This is our favourite place for special occasions and we will return.
The noise was from a large group in the next room.
Great food, great service, very helpful with wine pairings, and lovely ambience.
Me and a few of my colleagues went for dinner as a little Christmas celebration. I loved the atmosphere! Our server did a fantastic job of recommending the perfect wine. All the food was on point! So flavourful and delishes! I’m excited to go back again!
Enjoyed the BEST fish and chips that I’ve every had. I don’t know what they did that was different, but the batter and fish were delicious. The chips were done a little differently but they were also delicious.
Excellent food and great service; our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and wine selection. A great dining experience for those special occasions.
The food was wonderful, just as we expected it would be. The decor too is as expected for an historic building in Inglewood. Service was very attentive, but not over-bearing. A perfect spot for @ special occasion. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful food and service. So enjoyed the "chef's choice". Highly recommend.
Menu was great, food was delicious and reasonably priced, the service was really friendly and very prompt. The decor left something to be desired however, I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend or to come back again!
Fabulous as always! Food atmosphere and service. A special place to dine but still a casual atmosphere!!
We went to Rouge for my son's birthday and the staff were wonderful - providing a birthday card for my son as well as a "sparkler" on his dessert. I have been to Rouge for lunch (it is also amazing), but the varieties of the dinner meal was tremendous. I want to go back and celebrate an anniversary with my husband in December.
It is in a nice old house in Inglewood. It was a very quiet night so difficult to comment on ambience. Food was fine but not as exceptional as the restaurant's reputation might suggest.
Excellent food albiet pricey. Too much emphasis on expensive wines (unless wine is your thing)
We still haven’t stopped talking about the Fois Gras and it’s been days since we went. We decided next time each of us are ordering it because why would you ever share something so perfect. We had the ahi tuna tartar, the wild boar and the tenderloin. Everything was great. The service was excellent. The ambience is lovely. If I were to be picky the only thing I would say is that while my partner was using the washroom, the server brought our main dishes. It would have been nicer to have them notice and not deliver it until we were both there to hear about the dishes. Other than that it was perfect! Oh and there was a typo on the menu. Lol. I would give anything for that fois again!
Wonderful tasting menu and wine list with good service in an environment that allows you to have a conversation
Everything was excellent except dessert was very disappointing. Stick to the meal skip dessert.
We had the Chef’s Tasting Menu paired with wines... exquisite and fabulous !
We went to Rouge this weekend. We had the chef tasting menu and the wine pairing to celebrate a special occasion. We were very disappointed in the wine pairing choices. They were very strange. Some of them did not pair well with the food and we did not feel it was worth the price tag. The food was ok. There wasn’t anything that was memorable though. This meal was definitely not worth the $800 price tag for 4 people. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending to friends.
On a more positive note the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
Beautiful ambience and outstanding food make this place very special. The food is unique and full of flavour. Feels like you are having a special dinner in someone’s home.
Our first time in many years in coming to Rouge . For this particular occasion I felt was the best place to have a Diamond Anniversary dinner . We enjoyed the room with only two other tables being occupied . The service was attentive and our courses for dinner was very appetizing . We also liked the beginning with a chefs starter with compliments from the kitchen . We also enjoyed the ambiance of Rouge because it was
quiet enough to have a nice conservation without any noise disturbing us . We will definitely make it a point to come again in the not too distant future .
We both needed to send our food back for temperature issues. However, responded promptly and appropriately.
We had a great time at Rouge. We enjoyed the tasting menu and wine pairing. Yes it is pricy but if you are a foodie it is worth it and into these types of dinner then you should go!
It's always a divine pleasure to dine at Rouge. This particular occasion was a romantic farewell dinner, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, helping to create a memorable and incredibly satisfying evening. The food and wine pairings were sublime, each element of course delighting all of the senses. Rabbit Confit Pappardelle, Braised Bison Cheek, and Wild Boar Loin. All phenomenal. The Pumpkin Tart and Chocolate Genache dessert selections were both exquisite.
I can't wait for another occasion to go! And I will MAKE an occasion if I must.
The server was amazing, the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy
We had the tasting menu and loved it! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their evening out. We were celebrate a special occasion and the staff at Rouge were very accommodating.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our friends from Perth Australia loved it.
Typical good french restaurant. Expensive and fun. The way it should be. Portions on the light side but not tiny...Decent cellar. Service was on the informal side and enjoyably invisible for a romantic meal...
This was our first time to Rouge, but it had been on our radar from quite some time. It truly didn't disappoint. Food was great and the wine recommendation was spot on. Our waitress was quick witted and funny, which only added to the experience. Our only regret is that we've not gone sooner.
I have wanted to visit the rouge for years. I am so glad I did. They were so accommodating, despite having missed my reservation, they were still able to fit me in. It is truly an Inglewood gem. Food was amazing. I had a salad and a charcuterie tray to share, it was perfect. Highly recommend checking it out!
Fantastic Service, Staff, Food and Atmosphere! So worth the cost, my girlfriend and I will definitely be back! Our 13th anniversary was a night to remember!~
