Everything was great except upon arrival I told the owner and hostess that it was my friend’s birthday and she even asked for the proper spelling of her name and assured me they would have something special for her at dessert. When dessert arrived there was nothing special and I had to alert the waiter who took the dessert back to the kitchen for a candle. It was awkward.
A great evening as always. They just get it right every time
I have eaten at this restaurant over a dozen times.
My guest and I both had 1/2 chicken. The chicken was over cooked and difficult to bite thru.
We both decided that the meal was horrible and we would not return.
Our reservation was for when the restaurant opened for the evening, so it was nice & quiet. They have a gorgeous bar and a lovely dining room. I would imagine once the bar gets going, the room gets quite noisy....We loved the food, especially the chicken and the side vegetables (haricot vests and the cauliflower). The ribs were okay, not standouts like the other dishes. Our only complaint is that the prices are high, especially for what is essentially rotisserie chicken....($27 for a half, with no included sides)? So this is not a go-to-weekly kind of place, unless you're on an expense account. Special occasions only, but the food isn't "special occasion" type. It's more down-home. But great at what they do.
Although the menu was limited , the food was delicious. The atmosphere contributed to the charm and it was easy to communicate without competing with the typical loud noise of a popular NYC restaurant .
The restaurant is lovely. The staff was amazing and attentive but never pushy. The food was excellent! We had the rotisserie chicken and the steak and all of the vegetable sides and potatoes. The glazed carrots were a favorite! Desserts were super... creme brulle was perfection!
Service was slow and unresponsive. Food was very good.
Delicious food and attentive service.
Had heard a lot about thus restaurant and was disappointed when we finally tried it. Food was pretty good — not great. Service was average but the most accurate to describe it is as zero personality. The manager (only guy in a suit) picked up our check and credit card and didn’t even say a word. For the prices, would expect a bit more attention and friendliness.
Great juicy chicken with tasty sides- potatoes and carrots. Also surprised us with a glass of champagne to celebrate their anniversary! We will be back
one of the best twice baked potato on the planet. beautiful space with excellent service
As usual, a great experience..
Food is excellent and service is prompt for
We were disappointed, to say the least on this first visit. Our waiter was stressed out and rushed and one of us had to get up to get him back to the table to send our food back for more cooking. There is a frenetic feel to the entire place that does not promote a relaxed or fun dining experience. We ordered several dishes including the duck which was fatty and undercooked. The salads were just blah. If we could praise one thing it would be the carrots, but one side dish is not enough to justify the astronomical prices, mediocre food and poor service. On a side note, the lighting, with weirdly bright bulbs that shine right in your eyes, and the lack of any soundproofing makes the physical experience even more uncomfortable.
Wonderful every time!
Last minute late night reservation. The food was delicious
Perfectly lovely except we were rushed a bit...our dinner plates were removed with no offer to take leftovers (which we wanted to do). We understand the need to turnover the tables but slow down just enough to allow the guests a word in, please! Food was fabulous from the mussels to the chicken, foie gras and souffle!
Absolute gem. Everything perfectly prepared with a light touch. An old world feel to the setting, great service.
Exceeded my expectations. Cozy, beautiful. Great comfort food with very fresh ingredients. I will be back and will definitely recommend!
Really pleasant service and delicious food. Good wine value.
An outstanding experience. Best chicken and duck ever.
Really great overall. Food was fantastic and well priced
The service was terrible! The waiter was very slow. He brought the dessert menus before we had been served our main course. Way overpriced.
Good food, lovely service, but the noise level was unbearable. I would go back... if people would talk at a normal level.
Great! Love that place!!
Lovely restaurant , nice crowd
My favorite thing to do when visiting a city is to live and feel like a local, so my research brought be to your restaurant. What a find! Everything - the poulet provençale, haricots verts, rotisserie pommes - and the gnocchi.... All - sublime. Gracious service. Gorgeous space. A perfect meal for our family, together again for the first time since our oldest started school away from home in California. I look forward to returning - and sharing my new secret with family and friends.
Had been meaning to try Rotisserie Georgette, as I walk by it every week going to French class at L'Alliance Francaise. We went with friends from out of town, one of whom is a chef/caterer, and we all loved it. Totally pleasant evening, food was outstanding.
Love the ambiance of Rotisserie Georgette. Delicious food, great and friendly staff and a beautiful location.
exceeded expectations was easy to find great location service was perfect and have already recommended it to others
Have been several times for lunch! Love it! Thanks!
Outstanding! Always a great evening. Great food and great service.
High quality comfort food in a quiet, elegant setting. Like old NY dining but with really friendly and helpful service. Great cocktails and extensive wine list
Food was very good to excellent... but was delivered too quickly!? Might have liked a more leisurely pace.
The food and the ambiance are wonderful and the staff is very friendly and helpful
Rotisserie Georgette is very special due to Georgette who presides over the restaurant with a warm, elegant and light touch, ensuring that food and service standards are high. They are! Her presence makes all the difference to the ambience. The food is always excellent, especially her signature roast chicken. This time I discovered a chocolate mousse which is exceptional, textured and flavored with finely chopped, caramelized hazelnuts on a thin layer of rich, dark chocolate sauce. Outstanding!
the food is superb. the service is excellent. georgette is always around. a superb dining experience.
Rotisserie Georgette has terrific food, great style, very attentive staff, an excellent wine list, all in a gorgeous and welcoming setting. The main dining room is spacious, with a combination of banquette and table seating, and views into the open rotisserie area of the kitchen. I have dined at Rotisserie Georgette a number of times and so appreciate the high quality of food, drinks, and service. It hits all the right notes--sophisticated, not stuffy.
Great food, especially the chicken and quiet & civilized ambience.
Great overall experience as always! Food, wine, ambiance and service all exquisite! Can’t wait to return
