About Rotisserie Georgette
The dining room combines casual comfort and sophistication with touches that are both rough-hewn and refined. But the main attraction is the partly open kitchen’s rôtisserie ovens and their fine meats, poultry and fish turning over open flames. Abundant fresh vegetables, decadent potato dishes, heart-warming desserts, tempting cocktails & bites at the bar complete the picture. At lunch, we add generous main course salads and tempting pot pies. The soul-satisfying French-American comfort fare is prepared by Chef Francisco Blanco and Pastry Chef Jennifer Tafuri, complemented by the warm welcome of your host, Georgette Farkas. The “ROTISSERIE TABLE” private room seats ten.

Rotisserie Georgette Ratings and Reviews
Very nice restaurant.
Chicken which seems to be the thing here was
good but nothing really special- expensive considering you have to order sides to make it really dinner.
House made chocolate sorbet was really delicious-
Could come back just for that!
Wines by the glass seemed expensive-
$14 and up. Overall very nice experience.
The atmosphere is lovely, charming, a little bit of a step back in time, dim lighting, relaxing. Service was perfect— not old work formal, but professional and friendly without being overally so. None of that ‘hi guys’ informality which we dislike, but proficient, unobtrusive and yet attentive. As anyone knows who eats out regularly, regardless of the food experience, poor service can ruin a meal. This service was outstanding. The food, which is straight forward, was perfectly cooked and really delicious. We had the salmon rillettes; the guinea
hen; roasted potatoes; brussel sproutseith bacon; the tart tartin; and a a moderately priced bottle of
wine. The food is beautifully done, comfort food with a French touch. This is the type of food we
Excellent experience. The staff is exceptionally welcoming. The room looks great and the food was delicious and plentiful, with just the right cross between elegant and comfortable. Danny Meyer would approve, which is NOT meant in a condescending way. My guests loved it--was a happy surprise.
I have wanted to go there for ages - having heard only great things about this place - so we took our friends from London there tonight and no one was disappointed = the food was great, I had the half roast chicken with the red wine sauce , the brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes - it was excellent, my husband and a one friend had the ribs and they were great and our other friends had the truffled chicken which you could smell coming as they cane towards the table -
The setting was lovely, we had a great table in the corner service was excellent and we can’t wait to go back
I really wanted to love this place- I am a chicken and duck junkie. The rotisserie, which can be seen from the dining room, was empty and yet chickens and ducks were being served. It appears the food is prepared a head of time and then warmed up- certainly not what I expected. The duck came to the table carved- the breast was rare and the rest of the duck was well done- it appeared everything was cooked separately and not roasted whole. The duck lacked seasoning so we asked for salt and pepper which helped the flavor a lot. Maybe we caught an off night?
We were in New York City for 4 nights and ate here twice!! That’s how much we liked it. Beautiful and comfortable dining room that isn’t too loud but has great ambiance. Very good and attentive service and delicious food. We really loved our meals both nights and were thrilled to have found “our special place”. By the way...the ribs are insane!! So good.
I have eaten at Rotisserie Georgette many times, and the food is always exceptional. I usually order the half-roasted chicken; they have 4 different sauces that accompany the dish, but my favorite is a simple provencal with garlic. This time my husband and I ordered the roasted duck for two, and we were not disappointed. The dish was elegantly prepared and we had plenty left over when we finished. I also recommend the side of brussel sprouts with apple and bacon. Simply delicious. The restaurant evokes an "old world" ambiance with 15+ foot high ceilings that give you the impression you are eating in a fine restaurant in Europe. Simple, yet elegant. Would definitely recommend!
Used to be great - no longer. Maybe new owner, maybe new chef, maybe new manager. Prices the same - food, ambience definitely not.
Filet mignonette positively salty, meat more suitable for a leather saddle. Salads just tired - need to put them out of their misery. Coffee was good.
Other patrons must have long since caught on - dress in half filled dining room more akin to upscale Wendy's.
Used to be a favorite - used to be
Our second visit and well worth it. We booked a return visit here a couple of days before dining and, despite being late to arrive, the restaurant seated us immediately and agreed to our request for a table move. The staff are all very professional and friendly and service was prompt at all times. The food, as we remembered, was excellent. Definitely somewhere to go back to again and again.
I enjoyed a great dinner again. However, at the door I was mistaken to be a part of other asian group because she did not bother to ask my name. And when I informed her my name, she seemed upset. Also she seems like to make all Asian customers sat in the same section. I said her good night at the end but she ignored us. I still love this restaurant but I will not recommend my Asian friend nor bring any business guests.
