About
Expensive and the food is just meh. Really nice atmosphere tho
The best chicken in NYC. You feel like you are in Paris.
The ambience, service and poulet a deux (chicken for two) are all wonderful. A great venue for a celebratory evening!
We went to Rotisserie Georgette for the the chicken but felt that it was only marginally better than Dallas BBQ. No need to spend the bucks here. Bartender was fab but food was at most average.
This restaurant has what I like. It is well appointed, has delicious food, the service is professional and friendly. An under the radar dish is the delicious fish, which I have had numerous times and is top notch.
I would and do recommend this restaurant to my friends and others.
Great chicken, potatoes, carrots and apple tart meal! Hard to beat for a simple yet delicious option!
An all around wonderful experience. From the beautiful decor, to the excellent wait staff, to the delightful hostess, and finally to the great food. We had an outstanding time and will definitely be back soon!
Wonderful absolutely!!!!!
Great restaurant! This is always a must do when we are in the city. Chicken however was dry and not flavorful this time. Just an off night. Everything else was wonderful!
Repas de Noël
Loved this neighborhood gem!! Great food, great service, great wine list!! I will be recommended this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Georgette and team!!! Outstanding!
A perfect experience every time.
We didn't know what to expect on a busy Christmas eve, when often times service is rushed an inattentive, and food quality is not up to par, but we were pleasantly surprised on both accounts. I actually think the owner took our order! Pleasant experience. The food was good, solid bistro-style (we both had branzino) with generous portions. It was an enjoyable evening that didn't cost an arm and a leg.
Great meal. It had been on our radar for a while, and I'm very glad we finally have gone. It is the type of place that sets a certain standard that you hope every other restaurant you go to can match. And being from out of town, it's also the type of place you wish you had back home. Will be back, hopefully regularly.
When in the city, this upper east side ‘gem’ is one of our favorite regular stops. Their Roasted Chicken for Two is one main courses you have to experience to appreciate!
The warmth of the room, the ambiance and service makes you feel ‘at home’ as soon as you arrive.
With a great wine list and something for everyone, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a great lunch or dinner here should the opportunity present itself!
Thanks to our server Pamir who knows how to keep things moving along without making you feel rushed.
See you again soon!
The atmosphere here could not have been more welcoming or friendly. It's festive, fancy, yet not stuffy or pretentious. Appetizers unfortunately outshine mains; the famed chicken was a little dry and lacked flavor (the sauce helped); gnocchi were also dry and grainy. The apple tarte tatin was horrible; apples appeared steamed rather than caramelized, crust was soggy. The Salad G and Basque Mussels were the shining stars. That being said, the restaurant is incredibly enjoyable.
We have been here a number of times over the past few years and absolutely love this place. The food is excellent and the service is even better than the food. Melinda has served us at the bar a number of times and she is excellent with the right mix of service and friendly conversation. We will be back!
Love Georgette's! Husband says the mussels are the best he has ever had. I love the ribs, and the hibiscus iced tea.
Delicious Food and great service.
Very very good food cream chestnut soup could have been a little thicker. Filet perfectly cooked
Rotisserie Georgette is a delightful spot, which is elegant and very interesting visually, without East Side cookie cutter stuffiness. A lot of work went into designing a space that does not echo. The food is excellent, imaginative and easy. And the service is terrific: prompt and gracious. No waiters pulling the dishes out from under one.
Basically ignored. Little service. Maitre d eventually rescued us apologized and took our order. Bill was also reduced by her. Very embarrassing. was supposed to be a special event
Just lovely...delicious food, graciously served in a beautiful spot. We went for rotisserie but everything was delicious!
Fantastic menu offerings from top to bottom. Staff are hospitable and personable.
Bottomless brunch cocktails were delightfully delicious.
Must come back to explore more.
Great location and friendly atmosphere for holidays, couples lunch, friendversary - just go.
Excellent food and service! I got a seasonal salad. It was slightly grilled to bring out the flavors of the vegetables. and probably one of the best tasting salads I have had in a long time. Then I had the branzino for my entree. It was prepared to perfection, seasoned with only salt and pepper. Loved it all. Dessert was amazing, too! Perfect portions. Not too much. Overall a wonderful dining experience.
One of my favorite spots in NYC. Delicious food, sophisticated ambiance, interesting crowd.
I'm not often compelled to write reviews but I wanted to acknowledge a particularly good experience here last night. The food was superb, as always. But what really impressed me was that the place was hopping and, even though we did not run up a huge tab, the staff were wonderful about finding us a more comfortable table and not making us feel rushed. It's not the first time I notice that about this place. It's a rare feeling in this city and it's one of the things I love, love about Georgette. Merci!
Georgette is a ultimate hostess! The room feels opulent, sophisticated and warm. And the chicken is Devine!!
This is the best lunch place in the midst of this crazy busy and noisy town of ours!
Quiet, elegant and best of all exquisite!
Absolutely everything on the menu is outstanding.
Georgette keeps an impeccable place. She is gracious and it's reflected on her staff.
Well done!
This is a friendly quality restaurant in a pricey part of town. As you would expect, from the name, they do a fine job with rotisserie chicken and duck, and presumably other game birds. Sides are well crafted, but not exceptional. The wine list is extensive, but many selections are quite expensive and they are a bit thin on bottles for those not on an expense account. Desserts are satisfying. There is a well stocked bar. A solid but not transcending dining experience.
Highly recommended.
My intent for the noise level was perfect!
Not sure if that meant no bar or all bars.
An absolutely pleasant dinner.
Thank you!
This is a fantastic dining experience all around., A real testament to classic french cooking and the service is impeccable. Georgette is wonderful and gracious. Book your table now-- you will not be disappointed.
This is the quintessential NYC restaurant... with only the good parts :-)
Gracious owner and staff, classy atmosphere and delicious well-prepared food.
My ‘must-go’ when in the city.
Service was exceptional. The dirty martinis were delicious also.
This restaurant never disappoints. .
Service was bad. Had to ask Maitre’d to bring coffee at the end of the meal and for her to bring bill because our server simply disappeared..Food was great, but very frustrated with lack of service
Delicious food. Gracious service. A midtown east standard.
Wonderful. Food, atmosphere, wine - all great but the most remarkable thing about Rotisserie Georgette is their genuineness & sincerity. Greeted by the nicest lady when we arrived and instantly made to feel wanted, you don’t expect that at a RESTAURANT. Later found out it was the owner! Thank you!
Our favorite place in NYC!
We love Rotisserie Georgette. The menu is small but everything is perfect. Serving happens promptly without a lot of fuss or any annoyance. Delicious. We will be back again and again
Wonderful food - a carnivores paradise. Simply prepared meats and fowl that really shine. Unfortunately, the service does not quite reach the excellence of the food. It’s pretty slow and spotty. And be prepared for the bill - hopefully you are sitting down.
