   Indian cuisine is a unique experience for us. Out of the four diners, only one person had eaten Indian food more than once before. Both the owner and server were very helpful as we made menu choices. Everyone was pleased with his/her choice, and it was a very nice evening. We will definitely go back!

   The new location is great and the restaurant is much more roomy. The food, as expected was terrific!

   We have dined at Roti twice since it relocated to San Mateo. The food is good but the portions too expensive for their size. Add on the rice and bread, both of which are a la carte, and the price is high for what you get. Service is good, but there are many restaurants in the area that provide a better ambience and offer a more satisfying meal. Unless you really crave Indian food, I wouldn't recommend the new Roti.

   Food was still terrific at the new Roti location - this was our first visit. since the relo from Burlingame. Atmosphere needs some work. The wide open space and glass storefront forced small space heaters to be placed throughout the restaurant. It needs more dividers between tables and some atmospheric touches. Prices seem to have increased and there is no more complimentary cracker bread and dip - everything needs to be ordered from the menu. With time and some minor changes, this place will be right back on track.

   Roti in San Mateo is getting it's legs and clearly improving! Food and service were really good. Reservaation honored, host did a good job and food was delicious and came in a timely honor. At least on the Saturday evening we were there the restaurant was well staffed with friendly and knowledgeable folks. Restaurant feels sort of big without enough decor to interrupt the large space into more cozy sections. The recent night we had dinner there the heat was not working and a few scattered space heaters on the low setting were not adequate to warm the large space. On a pouring cold weekend night buying 5 more heaters to deal with what I am hoping was just an emergency seems in order.

   A few co-workers celebrated birthday lunches at Roti. It was a nice environment and the food was excellent. The naan is exceptional and everyone was very pleased with the lunch dishes they ordered.

   Ordered the grill plate that had a little of everything. All items on the skewer was dry... Water was much needed. The spinach dish had no flavor and my friend ordered lamb and got chicken instead. I would not return or recommend this restaurant

   Roti moved recently from their Burlingame location and need to settle into their service. Everyone is friendly and the food is great. The night we were there the service was slow and I think it was because they were busy and short handed.

   We really like the food at Roti and the new location in San Mateo is great. But service was so horrible that if we didn't love everything else so much we wouldn't come back. In fact, one more time with this poor service and we will probably just press the pause button on this one for a while. Poor service really messes up the whole experience.

    Glad to see Roti found a new home in a great location with larger seating; food was delicious as always. We think it's the best Indian restaurant in the area. Sunil greeted us like old friends which was charming. My favorite dish was not listed on the menu but he willing agreed to make it for me. That's customer service! They have an updated wine list and full bar. We only missed the Indian crackers and dips that were previously offered after you sat down.
