As usual, Rothchilds did not disappoint. Took my assistant to celebrate her birthday. She had linguini with shrimp and scallops, I had chicken parmesan, side of pasta. The pasta is homemade and as delicious as the word homemade suggests. The chicken was cooked to perfection.
Service was friendly and professional as always.

We were visiting from the Midwest and wanted some Italian food. Rothscilds was a random selection but...it is a terrific restaurant. And very economical with excellent pricing. The watermelon salad was perfect for a hot evening. And we split an order of the lobster ravioli. Excellent!!
Small and intimate, older style but beautiful decor. We’ll be back on our next visit to Newport Beach.
Always a great meal here. The pasta is amazing, as are the toasted ravioli and garlic bread. The veal dish and chicken were very good. You must save room for their secret Ice Cream Pie with a meringue topping and a plate of milk chocolate sauce. To die for!
Rothschilds is a perennial favorite...the fettuccine Romano is the BEST! And the garlic toast is 2nd to none. I was a bit disappointed this time in their special ice cream pie dessert (which is usually great). There was hardly any ice cream in it, mostly meringue fluff on top, and the ice cream that was there wasn't very good. Otherwise, lovely as usual.
This is a restaurant that my family has frequented for nearly 40 years. It never fails to be a delight. Impeccable service and divine food with a wonderful European charm about it. The garlic bread ( a humble sounding edible) is amazing. Truly. No rush dining with great atmosphere and outstanding food. A terrific combination for any occasion.
Any time we visit from Texas, Rothchilds' is a MUST visit experience. We always enjoy the food, the atmosphere and service. Justin was an outstanding server as all we have ever had before. I had the New Zealand salmon special, it was superb. It was just what we expected for a relaxing summer sunday lunch, great. Thanks.
We love this restaurant for several reasons. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming, the food is great, and it's a very nice atmosphere. My husband had one of the best pieces of salmon he has ever had and I agree since I tasted it! They have a great wine list too. All in all, a wonderful neighborhood restaurant!
My first time at this neighborhood staple and the restaurant was crowded and seemed that the air conditioning was not working. The service was attentive however the food was very disappointing. Very average and uninspired traditional fare. The side dish with daily special was a pasta which was cold and tasteless. We ordered our hangar steak to medium rare and came almost rare and so tough it was hard to chew.
I guess the restaurant has been around for few years. I expected better food and experience than what I found. The appetizer of so called "grilled" artichoke heart was no more than soggy artichoke heart from marinated bottled affair. Their so called garlic bread was mediocre. If you are going to charge lamb chop $40, it better be a good piece of lamb chop. Instead what we got was thin piece of over-cooked lamb that you may be serve as an appetizer in some low priced restaurants. I think they really needs change the menu otherwise I'll not be going there ever again

My husband and I chose this location for our 46th Wedding Anniversary and what a GREAT Choice. We will definitely be returning.
Very intimate tables for 2 and very quiet at 7 pm. Special service, incredible food choices and the atmosphere were all an added bonus. Thank you Maureen for making our dining experience exceptional. Nancy and Jack
We were two ladies celebrating a birthday. The hostess gave us a cozy corner table. The menu was original and varied. We tried the toasted artichoke house special for an appetizer and it was great. Our server recommended the white salmon special of the night and it was excellent. Very light and delicious. As previously requested, our server remembered to bring out a yummy chocolate, raspberry birthday desert with a candle on it!
I brought my parents here for lunch. They drove up from San Diego and wanted to go to a nice restaurant with good food. My parents are very particular and especially critical when it comes to Italian food. My father used to have an Italian restaurant and he has high standards for the quality of food. Well...he absolutely loved the food. He couldn't stop talking about how good it was and it was prepared correctly. By the way, I forgot to mention that my parents are Italian and are great cooks. He said when he comes back up from San Diego he only wants to eat at Rothchild's. I also want to note that Tim was our server and he was wonderful.
