Rothmann's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The meal was flawless. We had the special Chateaubriand for 2 that we ordered rare. The meal was prepared correctly with an excellent surface sear, finished off with a uniform rare interior. The portion was also sizable for two. The sweet potato fries were extra crispy, but the creamed spinach was laking. Too much spinach and not enough cream....this is not supposed to be a healthy dish!
Returned to Rothmann's Sunday Brunch and it was excellent.....prime rib was cooked perfect, slightly pink and very tasty....skirt steak was juicy, nice crust, flavorful....unlimited lobster tails is a great deal, they were slightly on the tough side though, perhaps overcooked a few minutes.
Great fresh pancakes, eggs benedict is their weak spot, almost no hollandaise sauce on these and eggs were very runny....excellent seafood selection. nice salads...desserts are small bites rather than cakes, pies, etc but very good.
Considering the surf and turf alone is regularly $49, at $49 for the whole brunch, it's a good buy. Waiter was very accommodating.
This was my third visit to Rothmann's for brunch. I was a little early this time and was seated waiting for the rest of my party to arrive. I realized something pretty awesome about this place. They remembered me as a repeat customer. The nice hostess, Francesca, made me feel very welcome from the minute i walked in. She engaged me in conversation while i was waiting for my friends. She remembered the last couple of visits i made there and that made me feel special. Our server and the gentleman at the carving station remembered me as well. Always pleasant, engaging and personable. The food is pretty good but when you couple it with a great staff, it makes for a better memorable time. Rothmann's should be commended for it's hospitality. My compliments to the staff.
The server breaks the cork on a very valuable bottle of wine. Did not place the worm deep enough. Sommelier should have extracted the cork. A cork that cannot be saved for the special occasion. Difficult to get the waiter’s attention. Service became slow toward the end. Very busy but the management should have anticipated that on Valentine’s day and added more staff. The food was very good. Steak cooked to perfection. Been to this restaurant quite a few times over the years. Food is the consistent expectation. Need some improve in other areas.
Took my boyfriend there for his birthday. It was our first time. The food was great, service was amazing in an attractive atmosphere. I had the filet mignon and he had the ribeye. The best steaks we've ever had. The sides were great as well. We will definitely go back. Make sure you go with a lot of $$$$. This place isn't cheap but it's worth the money as everything was top notch!
Well, I guess we arrived at the busiest time of the evening! We were seated in the middle of a bunch of tables and the table directly behind us was EXTREMELY loud we couldn't hear ourselves speak. The whole restaurant was very noisy. Our waiter was very nice but didn't see much of him. He seemed frazzled. We were introduced to another waiter who only appeared once and took a drink order which we never received
but was included on the bill. The food was very good, but not worth the exorbitant bill we received. It wasn't what we expected unfortunately, this was a very special occasion and we left very disappointed.
We wanted something upscale to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We appreciated the valet parking. The menu was filled with many, wonderful choices. We were four for dinner and we each loved our meal, including the appetizers. The desserts were exquisite too. Also, I must add I was able to have my favorite drink, a Mojito, which is often not served due to various reasons.
Awesome as Always John, 10 Thumbs up !!!!!!
I don't care what yelp says about you guys. Your consistently very good. I am a steady and have no problems, see you next week again. From Scotto to Sabboro, I have been treated VERY WELL for 15 years. Perfect location, I come from Bayville. Thank you entire STAFF.
Food was excellent. Just on the pricey side but we knew that going in. We celebrated a birthday there. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Had filet mignon surf and turf and salmon for entrees. All were delicious. Side of mashed potatoes was on the small side even though it's listed as enough for 2. Also had the Brussels sprouts which were good. Would not recommend the fried calamari as it was bland. Server Walter was top notch professional and a pleasure to have.
Food, as always, was fantastic and plentiful. Station chefs were wonderful, well skilled, and accomodating. The place was busy, yet very comfortable.
This time our service was poor which is not the norm. Our server did not ask if we would like to order another drink, did not offer coffee until we asked for the check, did not bring accessories for lobsters nor the bowl to disgard the shells. He did NOT derserve the automatic 18% gratuity on the check.
Been coming here for years, sometimes the food can be inconsistent, however, lately it has been on the money. Oysters were excellent! Swordfish was delicious and five of us had the surf and turf which was a generous portion of each and cooked to perfection. Good service! Will be back again later this month!
