Evening events can be hosted in either of our two private parties and afternoon parties are available Monday - Saturday. Our private library room holds 55 guests while the pine room holds 40 guests.

As the kids say today, meh. That was our dining experience at Rothmann's last evening. Our reservation was honored and we were sat immediately. The restaurant was at full tilt, loud, so louder couldn't hear ourselves or our server. Took quite a while to place our drink order or get a glass of water. We ordered the reserve Barolo and it was fabulous. My best salad was just okay. Nothing to go back for, neither was the Chas salad. My chicken, though ordered well done was not. And for the price it was a skimpy plate to bring out. I calculate I could have done the same dish for under $5.00: 1 Very small breast and a small thigh, 3 asparagus and half a warmed lemon. The sesame crusted tuna came to the table perfectly prepared and it was delicious. My coffee and kuluar was great. But served in a tall water fall with no handle. I couldn't pick up the glass to drink because it was so hot. That's nuts. The apple desert served in the hot skillet was mealy. We didn't care for it at all. The p.s. of the evening was that the fire alarm went off for about 3 ling minutes.... While I know this is a popular dining destination, we find no reason to return.
Been here over 100 times this year - food was up to par- service was worst ever. Was there with business associates and told them prior to meal how fabulous a Rothmanns is. Well we were embarrassed.
After over 25 minutes waiting for a drink - the waiter came and tried to take our order. Nice waiter but wasn’t familiar with menu options.
No one offered to buy a round of drinks or dessert which we ended up ordering.
Pretty disappointing evening for “regulars”.
When we talked to the new manager- he did nothing.
We had a fantastic dinner at Rothmanns. We had an oyster and shrimp appetizer which was excellent. The shrimp were very large and tasty and the oysters were equally fresh and delicious. I had the bone in ribeye which was thick and perfectly prepared. For dessert we had a creme bruelle and red velvet cake. Both left the plates rapidly!! Our server Orlan was so accommodating and made everyone feel welcome. This is my favorite go to restaurant and I definitely recommend it.
We were two couples with separate checks. We each had a coupon for $25 off a check of $100 or more which we added up to easily. When we paid the check, the waiter said that coupon was per table...I said "it is per check"...which we both repeated 3 or 4 times. The wording on the coupon is very specific, and it states " toward any check of $100 or more". The end result was that they "did a special consideration" for us and honored the coupon. I feel that this was petty and annoying considering the fact that is was a Rothmann's coupon and considering the prices they charge. The food was ordinary to say the least. My order of onion soup was a small crock filled with a huge piece of bread and rubbery cheese. Caesar salad was plain...our steak was on the dry side although we ordered it medium rare...spinach sides had no flavor and no garlic.
I have been to Rothmans many times. Always great steaks. I ordered the bone in rib eye, it was delicious, My husband and sister in law ordered the Asian marinated skirt steak. They hardly ate any of it. It was so tough, just awful! They should really look into getting a better quality skirt steak
This used to be a fabulous restaurant. Twice in the past month, the service was subpar. There were not enough waiters! The food did not come out as ordered. There were things that were ordered that were not served without a reminder to the waiter. It is so sad. I hope that they can get their act together.
My husband and I really enjoy coming to Rothmann’s. The rolls are very fresh and delicious. The kung pao calamari was awesome. We had the porterhouse as the entree with mashed potatoes and sautéed asparagus. The red wine was a blend which complimented the steak dinner.
The shell steak was very good and made perfectly. The cream spinach is much better at Peter Luger. The hash browns were also better at Peter Luger. The room was very hot so it was uncomfortable. The waiter came around only once. I ordered a beer and was not given with a cold glass. The waiter was not friendly.
With drinks and dessert dinner will run &250-$300. For most people this is not an everyday restaurant. We were seated in the room they call the Library and were actually able to hold a conversation unlike like the main room which is always noisy. Rothmann’s is a staple for our celebration dinners. The food is always excellent and the service is just right and not overbearing
We were a reservation of three. They seated us in a back room, we were surrounded by 2 very large and noisy groups. One table had little kids running around us. The waiter apologized several times for the poor service he gave us. The least they could have done was offer us coffee and a desert on the house for the lack of service and loud noise. They will not have the opportunity of my company nor my credit card again.
Have dined here for years. Whether for special occasions or just my wife and I having a quiet dinner, we are never disappointed . Professional wait staff, beautiful interior, comfortable seating. And of course, really great food. My wife had lobster and it was steamed to perfection. I had what I think is the best ribeye steak I have ever eaten.
As always everything was great, the only disappointment seemed to be at the beginning of the dinner when giving the wine selection seemed to take an unusually long time. The waiters seemed to be non existent. Then the amount of time it took for the appetizers to show also was longer than usual. In general the food was terrific and we will certainly come back, but a place of this caliber should definitely look into these types of details to continue appealing to their repeat clientele.
This was the second time we went to Rothmann's for a special occasion (my husband's birthday) and both times we were disappointed. The filet mignon was overcooked, the broccoli was a little too al dente, and the dessert was too sweet. The baked potato, I must say, was delicious-tasty and baked with salt on the peel that gave it a great flavor. I am sorry to say that we agreed that we would not return again.
Food was very good but I have to say I'm pretty annoyed with the server
My girlfriend and I both order a lobster cocktail to start, the waiter brings a double order for both of us without telling us. Ok no big deal we ate it but still not right
At the end of dinner I order an espresso he asks single or double I say single and of course he brings me a double and of course charges me for it
It was Labor Day and I guess your trying to make bigger checks for lack of business
Had a dinner date with my son.we shared a deader salad,lobster sushi roll,tomahawk ribeye,mushrooms,and creamed spinach.
Everything thing cooked to perfection and delicious. The service couldn't have been better. One of the few restaurants I go to and don't mind paying the check. Also a shout out to the staff. From reception to servers to Rothman's amazing somalier Sean....thank you!
An integral player in the Long Island Steak House scene, Rothmans holds its own in all categories. However the ambiance starting with the breath taking bar and lounge to the private back room separated by the main dining room with its comfortable banquets and well spaced tables puts it a notch above. Of course the colorful history of the building and former owners of the restaurant only adds to overall experience.
Our waiter Brian along with our favorite sommelier Sean made this particular visit extra special.
Heavy prices make it popular stop for the expense account crowd, but it remains a place for a special dinner when on your own dime!
Brunch had a wide variety of well prepared food. Some items ran out that were not replenished as quickly as we would have liked. Service was ok. We waited 15 minutes for a waiter to ask us what we wanted to drink and 20 minutes in total until that drink arrived. The decor is a bit dated.
