This is our favorite go-to restaurant for a Saturday night. They take reservations and they sit you on time.
Last night I was looking for something KETO so I had the crab cocktail. It was a large portion of fresh crab with another large portion of avocado. OMG it was the best. Fresh and YUUUUMY. My husband had the tacos and was delighted also. The service was fast and attentive on a busy Saturday night.
Sunday night is our next favorite night if we have been out wine tasting. Rosy's has a no corkage fee Sundays and you can enjoy your wine catch from the day. In the Summer hours you can eat outside.
*** Usually I get the seafood special. The specials are always so well thought out.
I go to Rosy's once in a long while. I loved the decor inside & very impressed with the ceiling's garland & balls. Nice stand out!
However, I had the lentils & chicken salad. I wasn't enjoying it cuz it was just tooo much plateful of lentils, very small amount of cut sweet potatoes....no greenies underneath like a salad! I feel this menu needs modification! The whole thing lacks flavor! Must reduce the lentils by more than half & add over greenies & better veggies to it!
Tried their new butternut squash salad - it was amazing - definitely will do it again!
Great service and friendly atmosphere - favorite restaurant for people who live in Morgan Hill.
They also have the best fish and chips I've ever had.
Anna our server was awesome!!
We love Rosy's! It is our Saturday night go to restaurant because they take reservations and the weekend specials are always The BEST. The menu has a lot of variety so we take friends often knowing that everyone will find something they like to order.
The drinks are good pours and the wine list extensive. Sunday night you can bring your own wine and not get dinged with a corkage fee - Great if you have been out wine tasting.
Overall great dining and atmosphere except the waiter was a bit too attentive. Young man Needs some guidance on when and how often to check back on 2 gabbing ladies.
Service was top notch. The wine selection was limited but we found two interesting and enjoyable wines by the glass.
The specials for the day were both tasty.
We would recommend .
For valentines day 2017 they had a fixed menu option which was very good. We were disappointed that this year was just their regular menu.
We really wanted to love it, since we are new to the area and still looking for a favorite place to go. Very relaxed and we had very good, friendly service. The food even looked good- plentiful and attractive, and sadly, completely without flavor. The grilled shrimp and asparagus salad, completely tasteless. Wherever the ‘Meyer lemon and peppercorn’ dressing was, it wasn’t on the salad. The salmon tacos, almost completely tasteless. No wonder they brought bottled hot sauce without us asking. We did like the salmon appetizer, except that the choice of mascarpone with smoked salmon tasted a little odd. The wine, meh, but it really isn’t a wine with dinner place. The specialty cocktails were ok.
We have enjoyed dinner at Rosy's twice in the last 2 weeks and have not been disappointed. The Macadamia Crusted Swordfish special was excellent (both times)! My lady had the Dungoness crab pasta, she thought it was "fabulous, but a few too many shells". We fully understand that's just the chance you take with shellfish pastas, so just be careful and enjoy😁 That said, we will return often and highly recommend Rosy's to our friends and colleagues.
This is a great casual local eatery, with a kid friendly atmosphere and outdoor seating. The menu and daily specials make it interesting, and the wine list is heavy on our local wines, which is great.
I love it when everything is right, and this place has everything right! The Crab Louie was delicious, as was the calamari and the swordfish special!
Was looking forward to a New Year's Eve dinner with my family and was delighted to find a reservation available. Upon arrival we were seated in the back of restaurant away from main dining room and heater. The back door was wide open and it was freezing. Our very nice waiter attempted to close it by blocking with a stack of high chairs. Shortly after the smell of restroom sewage filled the air. I assume this is why they had the door open. During our dining the employees could be heard using foul language in the prep area. Hair in tuna and burnt baked potato. Truly disappointing. On a positive note we had an amazing waiter who was very friendly and attentive. The unsatisfactory experience was no fault of his. Possibly better management and food quality would help.
Food was great. We had the salmon tacos.
My husband had a Wonderful blackened swordfish with veggies and I had a huge Crab Louie Salad with a lot of claw meat in it.
Unfortunately, there are few choices among main courses for gluten free diners. However, there are tons of salad with meat/fish in them and our server was VERY knowledgeable and helpful. He said the fish tacos (and they include salmon, whitefish, shrimp etc) are always safe and I usually get them and enjoy them.
Rosy’s is a fun restaurant for a nice night out.
This restaurant is great. Menu featured crab special dishes. We all had one and so good. Waiter was fabulous. Lively atmosphere...Nice night out...
Always a great place to dine in a casual atmosphere. The service is good and the food makes you feel great.
Had dinner after the Morgan Hill Christmas Parade. Place was packed but service levels were not down. Food was good as always.
Rosy's is a Morgan Hill staple
I have never been disappointed with a meal from Rosy's. One of my favorite places. Highly recommend.
Overall very nice. Waiter was great. Very attentive. I believe his name was Jesus. They were out of the Chardonnay they were promoting so ordered something did. No biggie. Good food. Nice portions
Went back for more Crab. Rosy's is one of the few places around the south bay that advertises that they have Crab. Being a crab lover and not wanting to miss out. Rosy's gets my business.
Crab melt was excellent as was the service.
When you go back to a place you like that is the best review you can give.
Rosy had sent out an email letting it customers know that the Crab was in. So the wife and I went down to get some or Rosy's Crab Linguini. At first we were told that there crab had not been shelled yet and the only available crab was half or whole crabs. Thinking we had come to early we were them informed by our server that the cooks went the extra mile and shelled some of the crab to make us the linguini that we have craved.
Just goes to show that Rosy will do the extra for her customers.
Great food, fun atmosphere, and good service! Good place to relax & enjoy a wide variety of food. Excellent menu with daily specials. Good drink options also. Rosys is a real Morgan Hill gem!!!
Really enjoyed our family dinner last Sunday after Ren Faire. Thoroughly enjoyed my Ahi Tacos with the Wedge salad (included!). Really good service too.
This was our fourth visit to Rosy's. Great food, lively atmosphere. The bar had a game on, so it was a little louder than usual. Not so great for a romantic dinner, but they also have a lovely outdoor dining area on the street.
Good time with good food and friends in a central location in Morgan Hill
Always great. Thank you Rosy's!!! We are never disappointed.
Always excellent and so very fresh, local ingredients.
We had a very pleasant experience at Rosy's. The food isn't mind blowing but it was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Had a nice laid back vibe and not too crowded or noisy. The clam chowder and their fresh baked bread was our favorite thing we ordered.
The food was delicious but took forever to arrive. The server appeared overwhelmed and rushed.
Overall, the menu was very good, great wine list and good food. Had it not been for the slow, inattentive service, I would have given a much better rating. The menu and wine list were at the "white tablecloth" level, but things like not bringing appetizer plates, not providing utensils with each course (we had three), etc. brought it down to "just alright." We had to ask several times for plates, utensils, water refills, extra sauce, etc. We sat outside, which was really nice, but very noisy with muscle cars cruising up and down Monterey and two rounds of fire trucks. Would probably go back, but not for a special night out.
I am not a fish eater but I really enjoy the hamburger here and french fries
Took our family of four out last-minute on a Sunday night. Service was WONDERFUL, super cute ambiance, cocktails were strong and yummy, food was great, spoon ice cream sundae was so clever!
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the bruschetta and the special bar drinks, the island martini and the pink mermaid were great .. My husband and I look forward to stopping by again....
Went for dinner with my family which includes teenage kids, parents and grandparents. It was great for everyone!
Fish Taco's are truly the best in the area ! A must try.
A delight as always AND Rosy's still holds first place in my efforts to find the best salmon tacos in the U.S.
Father's Day, cool and comfortable.
Rosy's has been recommended by friends and my sandwich of Black Forest Ham with Brie was just okay. It was light on the brie, the balsamic onions overwhelmed the flavors of the sandwich so I removed most of them. The slaw on the side had no flavor but the truffled fries were very good. The Pink Mermaid martini was too sweet. I should of asked the waitress if it was on the sweeter side because if she said "yes" then I wouldn't of ordered it. So that was my mistake. My sisters salad looked delicious and she said it was and my friends open faced tuna sandwich looked equally delicious but she didn't say anything to that effect, so I can't speak for her. All in all, it's an adorable place, I will go back to try other items because there were many I wanted to try.
The mushroom salad was amazing! We also tried the bruchetta and it was very good!
