Rossini's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Went here on a whim with my husband and two kids (ages 10 and 12) this past weekend. I can't say enough great things. It was the most fun dinner we've had in a while. We had a cozy spot in the corner of the dining room and were able to enjoy the 2 opera singers and the piano player all evening. The food and service were phenomenal, and the staff was very nice. The only thing I would change would be to add more chocolate desserts to the menu! Will definitely be back!
A great old-school NYC Italian restaurant! Excellent food and service in an elegant
setting that at one time was the hotel dining room and lounge of what was the Towne House apartment-hotel, now an elegant pre-war co-op building. Great place for business dinners and also for romantic interludes.
My Overall experience and first time at this space was amazing. The setting was pure family style Italian ambience. The waiters were very professional and genuine, I briefly spoke with the woman who even checked out coat which also was a Gem! Will defiantly come back, appreciate this night here on Valentines day with my Companion. Thank you Rossini.
It was just ok...got the gnocchi for dinner which wasn’t memorable. Maybe I’m a bad judge because I was comparing it to multiple gnocchi dishes I recently had on a trip to Italy. We felt rushed by the wait staff (very un-Italian) until it was time for the check and then they seemed to forget about us. Overall, just an average experience, wouldn’t necessarily go back.
A very romantic place to come for that special dinner date or with a group of friends. Food is delicious and prepared to your special request. Yes, it is pricey, but it is NYC after all. The opera performers who come around to serenade the diners and take requests make for s most memorable evening.
As always, we had another great dinner experience at Rossini’s. The ambience is warm and cozy. The service is always exceptional. My husband started with one of the night’s appetizer specials of grilled octopus which he said was excellent. I had the green bean salad which I thoroughly enjoyed. We both had the bracciole with gnocchi dinner special. It was absolutely scrumptious. The bracciole was fork tender and the gnocchi melted in your mouth, both served in a rich red sauce. We then split a piece of pistachio cake which was light & quite delicious. We look forward to a return to one of our favorites in the near future!
This place is fantastic. I had some special needs due to surgery earlier this week and they were spectacular in taking care of us. The food and service are superb. We live out of state but have eaten here several times recently. Every time great service and food. The piano player during dinner also makes for a great atmosphere. Everyone needs to eat here.
Rossini's is our favorite restaurant in New York. We have been there four times in the last three years - twice with guests and twice by ourselves.
The menu is deep and varied; the food is excellent.
The wait staff is very professional and helpful when asked.
It is a restaurant that harkens earlier times but does so with very positive memories.
A very ordinary meal. Plated poorly. Even the quality selection of the food was ordinary. My sea scallops were small and not the large plump dry scallops I am used too at a pricey/quality restaurant. The heavily salted sauce was plopped on the plate, unceremoniously.
The wait service was very attentive, as was the management. But that doesn't make up for the disappointment. Stamped parking receipt was discounted. A nice plus.
This was our second time dining at Rossini’, and was just as great as the first time. Had friends meet us and they were extremely delighted with the food, atmosphere, and service. I would recommend Rossini to all . You are not rushed, and the service is wonderful, from entering the restaurant until you walk out the door. Great place. Look forward to going back.
Sound level way way too loud and then the singers started belting out tunes, we had to move to another room. Horrible for a client dinner. Embarrassing. The Mgt did move us and we were very thankful and it was fairly discreet. Not recommended on weekends for a quiet atmosphere
The food is consistently good, although there is, in my opinion, too much liquid in the pasta dishes. The service is attentive, but a little pretentious. Another pretentious aspect was the restaurant's policy prohibiting the customer from hanging one's coat on the back of the chair. Perhaps they hurry you along a bit too much, but generally speaking the room is lovely, the food is good and the noise level allows for conversation.
this is such a special place. we love the food , the service and the pianist is exceptional with great classics!!!! what a wonderful escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. thank you for the joy of a happy relaxing and romantic evening with my spouse ❤️❤️🎄🥂🍾❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️☃️
love love love Rossinis.
Elegant dining in a friendly yet sophisticated atmosphere. The food is beyond excellent. Perfect for business lunch or dinner, also good as a celebratory spot for any occasion including birthdays, anniversaries or just a special night out. Service is outstanding. True Italian cuisine. They even have my favorite desert, Biscuit Tortoni . which very few Italian restaurant carry. In short I could not say enough good things about this place.
Rossini's never disappoints. You think you're walking in to a little bar/restaurant and then you're escorted to an awesome open well lit dining experience. The food never disappoints and the staff is always on their game. I come here everytime I make it to NYC and everyone I bring has the same experience. Don't miss out. Gnocchi Bolognese is a must.
