Great service, excellent food, live piano player a bonus to top it off. This is an elegant Italian restaurant.
classic restaurant that makes a memorable dining experience. one of favorite places when visiting NYC.
As usual the dinner dinner was awesome. Everything about Rossini's is excellent. I have been dining here since 1987. It is my favorite restaurant.
Service is great. Food is solid If not outstanding.
Wonderful food in an old world ambiance.
Some of the best Italian food and service given in midtown at a reasonable price. The quality and service never disappoint. I look forward to going again.
Great food, service and ambiance!
Rossini’s was great as always. We’ve eaten here many times and always stop when we’re in NYC.
One of NYC's best Italian restaurants. An old school vibe with both traditional and new dishes. The service staff and the food are 5 stars
Outstanding. First time there for all three of us. It was a business meal but we’re all looking forward to going back.
Always a great dining experience. Midtown gem that many don’t know about
Love this gem in our neighborhood. Have been going for years. Love the food, ambience, music. Always a great time!
I love Rossini's old-world, traditional style, fantastic food and exceptional service. The menu selection combined with diverse daily specials are unmatched. Have never had a less than great experience there!
Food was good, staff were attentive and you could actually have a conversation. Not noisy. It was a throwback from another era. Bravo!
We were very pleased with our dining experience. The food, wine, service and facility were all terrific.
We’ve been going to Rossini’s for over 30 years and it’s as outstanding now as it was from our first time there. Consistently excellent food and service.
Great restaurant!! Was really quiet, so our family was truly able to converse and have a fabulous time dining together!! A definite recommend.
Fantastic! Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent!
Rossini's is an old school Italian restaurant with great food and excellent service. The piano and singers are an additional bonus.
Great time - thanks! Really glad we did it. Very nice evening!!
Awesome food, atmosphere and service was outstanding! Will definitely go back. Thank you for a wonderful night. Cheers...
Our waiter was not very attentive and the service was not up to the usual standard I expect when dining here. Food was ok this time
It is a neighborhood gem. Excellent service. Delicious old style Italian food prepared perfectly.
Every bit of this dining experience was perfect. The service was outstanding and the meals were spectacular. Everyone at the table ordered something different and everyone was so impressed. Really great.
Awesome experience from start to finish. Fabulous food, service and ambiance! The place is gorgeous and well worth a return visit.
Exceptional Service and great ambiance with piano playing in the background! Highly recommend!
As always, Rossini's did not disappoint. From the warm welcome, to the delightful atmosphere, we had a most enjoyable dinner. Service is efficient and friendly. A special place for a night like Christmas Eve, with the piano music and delicious food.
Love the homey, old-Italian atmosphere and they have live music! Fantastic and amazing. Drinks are extremely pricey though and much more than other places in the neighborhood. Wish their cocktail prices were more competitive and they had more moderate-priced wines. Then we could go much more often.
We went to Rossini's for Christmas Eve and we were not disappointed. Although they had a special menu, they offered their full menu for dinner as well. We had a few drinks at the bar [my father tended this bar for about 25 years before it became Rossini's and the set up is the same, so I feel a connection to this place].
The ambiance at Rossini's is wonderful. They had their piano player who is there I believe every weekend and it is charming and pleasant to hear a good piano player throughout your meal but not so loud that you cannot hear a conversation.
Dinner was great. We started with the cold fish salad and shared two portions. It was delicious. Then we all decided to have fish [Italians, of course]. I had a shrimp dish and my companions both had the sword fish one with capers and the other ordered special as just grilled. Both were cooked perfectly. They also offered a good dessert selection but we just shared a tres leches cake. I have eaten here a few times and it is always a good meal with great service. The waiters pay attention even on a very crowded night such as Christmas Eve. I will continue to frequent Rossini's and send my friends as well.
Poor service and poor food. Will not go back and do not recommend.
there for dinner on a Saturday with the singers and piano, great fun with excellent traditional Italian food.
Was delightful to visit with the owner. Very comfortable and the food was super Italian!!
Manager was extremely rude. Wanted us to check our overcoats - basically told us that he wouldn't let us keep it on our chairs.
Food was mediocre; cheesecake felt like it was made a few months ago.
Classic Italian NYC spot with a deep tradition. Food was unbelievable and service was outstanding
Rossini's was great! Food, amazing, so many great flavors. Service was amazing and just so great. Only complaint was We wanted a glass of wine and they told us that there cheapest glass is $18.00 (a basic pinot griego). Even for NYC that is Pricey. Overall we had a great time and will be returning :)
Outstanding food, carefully created. The service (Eduardo) was perfect.
This is not an Italian restaurant where you will leave uncomfortable full after dinner. By the pound, it is a little pricey, but it is worth it. The Gamberi alla Rossini is wonderful.
Family holiday gathering
The food is always delicious and the service is always very good. However, on this visit, there were two new singers performing and if I could rate this evening a zero, I would. First of all, the tables are too close to these performers to have a conversation. They are loud. And unlike the previous singers, these two had very little personality, and showed no ability to sing anything other than opera. Loud opera. They asked diners for suggestions, but neither of them had any familiarity with the three show tunes we offered. I don't care to return as long as these two are performing. With any luck, they'll be gone before I'm back in the city in January.
Rossini’s is the best Italian restaurant in New York City. I’ve been no fewer than 25-30 times and will continue to not only recommend it to anyone and everyone but hope to frequent the establishment even more often. The food, the service, the music, the wine.....it’s perfect. This is especially true around Christmas. You feel as if you have gone back in time when you enter Rossini’s. What’s even better? Everyone is dressed well (not overly formal but just enough) and there isn’t anything but smiles on everyone’s faces. Actual substantive conversation is being had and NO ONE is glued to their mobile devices. It’s a relief and refreshing.
We need more places like Rossini’s in this world.
