Rossini's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food is consistently good, although there is, in my opinion, too much liquid in the pasta dishes. The service is attentive, but a little pretentious. Another pretentious aspect was the restaurant's policy prohibiting the customer from hanging one's coat on the back of the chair. Perhaps they hurry you along a bit too much, but generally speaking the room is lovely, the food is good and the noise level allows for conversation.
this is such a special place. we love the food , the service and the pianist is exceptional with great classics!!!! what a wonderful escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. thank you for the joy of a happy relaxing and romantic evening with my spouse ❤️❤️🎄🥂🍾❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️☃️
love love love Rossinis.
Elegant dining in a friendly yet sophisticated atmosphere. The food is beyond excellent. Perfect for business lunch or dinner, also good as a celebratory spot for any occasion including birthdays, anniversaries or just a special night out. Service is outstanding. True Italian cuisine. They even have my favorite desert, Biscuit Tortoni . which very few Italian restaurant carry. In short I could not say enough good things about this place.
Rossini's never disappoints. You think you're walking in to a little bar/restaurant and then you're escorted to an awesome open well lit dining experience. The food never disappoints and the staff is always on their game. I come here everytime I make it to NYC and everyone I bring has the same experience. Don't miss out. Gnocchi Bolognese is a must.
I found this restaurant online and selected it because of the reviews. I am so very happy I did!
We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and there were 4 in our party. What a fabulous choice with choosing Rossini's! The service was wonderful, the food absolutely delicious - from the oysters to the desserts - we couldn't have been more pleased. Everyone in our party agreed this was the best experience for a birthday celebration (or any celebration) we could have hoped for. I would HIGHLY recommend Rossini's!
Searched all over NYC for an authentic style Italian restaurant that wasn't a chain. Stumbled upon Rossini's by chance, and it was a chance worth taking!! The service from the time you walk in, till you are presented with the desert tray at the end was above and beyond anything else we had expected or received while in NYC. The food was absolutely incredible!!! I would highly highly recommend this to anyone looking for great Italian food and service like none other!!!
A lovely spot where the hosts greet you very warmly and make you feel most welcome. The service is very attentive and the piano player adds to the ambiance. Tables are nicely spaced apart and the restaurant feels very spacious. We have been coming here for years, and always for Christmas Eve. Lots of families enjoying themselves. Food is tasty. I love the Shrimp Marinara. It has just the right amount of garlic. The shrimp are so tender they melt in your mouth. Perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion, or to just enjoy an evening out.
Food was decent. Linguini with a white clam sauce was too salty for my taste. Osso Boucco was ok but I expected it to be more tender. Seemed overlooked and microwaved and was fatty and rubberlike as well as overly dry. Sauce helped but wouldn’t order it again. Service was excellent.
Awesome meal as always. Tried the buffalo mozzarella for the first time and I can guarantee that it will now be an always time. Two in our party ordered and we both agreed it was by far the best buffalo mozzarella we have ever had.
Also Had the stuffed flounder that was also incredible.
The wait staff treat you as if you are their best customer.
This is truly a hidden gem in midtown.
The motto of this place is. “No service, no smile”, Waiters are too busy practicing their disappearing act routine then taking care of customers. Retro setting, circa 1957, but modern charges, circa 2020. The attitude here is “the customer is always WRONG “. Foof is only fair and to make up for it, the service is non-existent.
Best Chicken Fiorentina ever! Two singers and piano player made for great ambience. Attentive staff. My hotel recommended this restaurant. Seems like a place where the locals go. Noise level is high and a little pricey but worth it. Will definitely go there again next time I’m in NYC.
