A bit of a time capsule- in a good way. Great ambiance. The staff couldn’t make you feel more welcome or taken care of. Everyone was on point. Food is very good - but not remarkable. I definitely recommend the experience. I will go back for sure.
The welcoming atmosphere is so nice when you arrive until you leave. The staff is very accommodating. Great restaurant for good food and for being able to hear one another. Service is excellent.
I’m from Chicago and found Rossini’s in September. I was back this week and it will be my go-to spot whenever I’m in NYC. The staff is exceptional as is the ambiance.
First time visiting, and I would go back. Good selection of dishes, service was fast, and the environment was very good for conversation. A bit pricey, but it's New York. The staff tended to hover a few feet from our table, which was at times intrusive (they had conversations going about things that did not involve us), but that's not a huge problem.
Went here based on good reviews here and Yelp, and it was open on Sunday night. Overall unremarkable. Food was mediocre - fish overcooked, bolognese flavor-free and dried pork chops. Chicken was decent. Salads were swimming in dressing and clams were overly breaded. Service was nice but harried. Not bad but too many other options to return.
What a joy! Rossini’s is a classic. Old school Italian at it’s best and a level of service that makes you feel like a member of the family as soon as you walk in the door.
This was our first trip to NYC and Rossini’s was a recommendation from a family member. It was a fantastic dining experience from the very beginning. We were seated right away at a small table that was not very comfortable for me- I asked to be moved to a different table and they accommodated my request immediately with no hesitation. Service from all the staff was amazing, dinner was outstanding and the live opera singing was beautiful. We can’t wait to come back to NYC and visit Rossini’s again. Highly recommend!!
Old school doesn’t do them justice, just old. Veal tasted like 8 lemons were squeezed on it. Baked clams had a mysterious seasoning that I haven’t tasted in the 500 other times I’ve ordered baked clams. Menu is dated, poorly prepared and lost and that goes for the decor as well. The servers couldn’t be nicer though.
Absolutely Delicious! I will revisit soon during the holidays.
Disappointing pasta and fish...salads were ok...would not return...
Poor wait staff service, very disappointed with this restaurant. Also informed them of my wife’s birthday and did not receive any recognition.
Love the “old time” atmosphere with “experienced” weight staff. Made my small group feel at home very quickly.
Food is always fantastic!
Ate here twice while we were in NYC. Squash flowers filled with cheese as a special appetizer was excellent. Eggplant appetizer was also great. Had the veal, shrimps and spaghetti carbonara - all were superb. Drinks and wine are pricey at $ 18 each but the food is worth it. The restaurant always seems busy with locals and tourists.
Very good and would go again. Conveniently located and seafood and pasta great.
GreaIt Italian for a reasonable price (Manhattan context) in a cozy atmosphere, with great service.
In my opinion this is one of the best and friendly Italian restaurants in New York City, with white tablecloth service and excellent food. I have been visiting this restaurant for 20 years and even coming back this evening after six year hiatus living out of town, it is still fabulous. This is not a red sauce to it, this is a real superb Restaurant with Northern Italian gastronomy.
We were time constrained and the service responded Impeccably. Food was predictably good.
We are never disappointed when we eat at the restaurant.
The food is well prepared 'old school' Mediterranean/Italian. Very good service, a good place for conversation. I enjoyed the evening with friends and the tone was perfect.
This was our last dinner in New York and perhaps it was the best. The service was terrific, the food delicious: it felt like we were being treated as a little bit special. We loved it.
Love this restaurant. Food is excellent and service is superb. The only thing was the dessert (apple crumb) cake out cold/frozen. But they fixed it no problem. Definitely for a special night. Expensive but worth it. Piano player is very good as well and adds to the old school romantic vibe
Always a great experience.
Absolutely a hidden gem, we would highly recommended.
best place for business lunch in the city. Good value, excellent service. Treats you well.
Excellent food. If you like Italian food this is a great option
Very comfortable atmosphere. Excellent, attentive service. Nice menu, good selection of appetizers and entrees. Pianist played appropriate music.
I was referred by a friend, so it was my first time here. Can't wait to go back. This is what a New York restaurant is supposed to be! Wait staff super friendly, and the entertainment was awesome.
Food and service very good. Enjoyed the Opera entertainment/music.
Favoluso!!! From the moment we entered the door to the very end of our meal! The service was friendly and attentive to details. They start everyone off with bruschetta, fresh bread, crackers, butter and pesto olive oil. Then we enjoyed three specials of the evening: one starter salad and two entrees. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Would recommend this as a staple dining spot of mid-Manhattan. Salute!
Rossini's is fine dinning the way it used to be; the room is luxurious, the food is excellent and the service is always first class. Check it out on a Saturday night when they have the opera singers singing your favorite requests but make sure to have a reservation especially as we close to the holiday season!
One of my favorite restaurant experiences ima very long time.
Its a staple every time I travel to NYC and stay in Murray Hill. It never disappoints.
Enjoyed the piano music. Ambience was nice enough.
We had a wonderful experience at Rossini’s. The food was exceptional. Our waiter Jose was so nice and very accommodating. Thank you for a unique dining experience!
Neighborhood gem. Stumbled upon it on a business trip. Superlative menu and staff. Magnificent meal.
Always a pleasure to dine there. We go often and are never disappointed. There are wonderful specials every week.
OMG wonderful staff! Delicious meal!!! Thank you!
Authentic Italian at it's best! From the waiters, the food, the decor..........even the other guests! This place is what you'd expect when you go to an Italian restaurant in NYC
Over all the dinner was very good. The food was very good, service, ambiance, piano, etc.
I will go eat at Rossini again.
