Birthday dinner, good food
The minute we walked in, the host warmly greeted us and found us the perfect table. We felt so welcome! Our server was friendly, though not perfectly attentive, but there were other wait persons available to help with water refills and such. The shrimp cocktail was beautifully presented and mixed green salad was very fresh. Mahi was also good, but don’t quite understand why a vegetable substitution was only available for an extra charge when the same was on the pre-fixe. Highly recommend this place. A real oasis, and fun to people watch on 7th Ave.
Both Steak and my wife's pork chop way over cooked.
Bustling atmosphere good for large groups. The food is good, but pricey for the quality. Service was a little slow, but the staff was berry friendly.
I visit New York City only once or twice a year, but always try to get to Rosie's. Staff are remarkably warm and welcoming (in true Irish fashion); they tap a lovely pint of Guinness; and, the food is excellent. Norwegian salmon is my favorite, and it is always done to perfection--moist, tender, and wonderfully flavorful with the house sauce. Can't wait until the next time!
Yummy place for dinner before the theater.
Food was ok. Typical pub food with minimal gluten free choices. Need to get past Salads as a GF choice...hot food options are more hearty. Our server at 4pm had zero personality which is strange for an Irish pub. Check your bill, we were initially charged dinner prices which was incorrect.
Bar scene is nice with lots of the typical business crowd.
Excellent service and food was fantastic would definitely recommend and return on our next visit
We went here at the last minute really- we did book that afternoon . We had orginaly booked the Russian Tea rooms for 2 of us but at the last minute a friend joined us and when we reviewed the menu actually for the cost ( ££££) it wasnt floating our boats! We really loved Rosie's the food and service was excellent. Yes its a pub in the main but the dinning room is really rather smart the wait staff are all very efficient. The choice was varied although we opted for the prixe fix at $39.95 which represented excellent value. We had just been to the Warwich for drinks were a bottle of pinot grigio was $54- a similar bottle in Rosies $31! A great place and one we will surely revisit!!
Would have like to have vegetarian or vegan menu options.
Food was great as usual. However during this visit our waiter was rude and seemed to disappear a lot. Other than the poor service, this place was great.
We have eaten here a few times now & the food and service have been great. It can be a bit noisy especially when the after work crowd comes in for drinks at the bar. Food is good and our servers have done a great job tending to us. This is a great place to eat before seeing a show or if you are just roaming around Manhattan shopping or sightseeing. My one complaint is the location of the restrooms. They are on the far end of the bar which forces you to wade through all the people hanging around at the bar. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was disappointing but the ambiance and location was good. Restaurant can cater for large groups.
Had an amazing experience. It was our engagement dinner, management seated us at an amazing booth and were treated very well. The ambiance was great. The service and the food were very good. Hi would highly recommend.
Made a reservation on a Saturday afternoon after a Broadway show. Everything was perfect. We were quickly sat and attended to, food and drink specials were great, everyone enjoyed their meals, service was fantastic and the ambiance was great. Highly recommend!
This is one of our go-to restaurants for pre-theatre dining when seeing shows in the area. Consistent, broad menu with something for everyone at a reasonable prices, food is always good as is service. We sat far from the bar area, so the sound level was fine. Never had a problem getting out in time for our curtain.
Food ok, service ok, would only revisit if there was no where else to go, no one went out of their way to make us feel welcome and everything else was just ok!!
After reading the reviews I was quite sceptical but I was really surprised at how good our meals where. Great service, food and value too
outstanding service, delicious meal and amazing environment.
First off the steak my daughter ordered medium rare it came almost well done, because the waiter wrote it wrong. Then we all received our food and it took another 20 minutes for her steak. I did speak with the manager and asked for the meal to be taken off the bill. They did do that, which is actually the only right thing out of the night.
The food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. The host (maybe manager) was rather abrasive and abrupt in dealing with us. He said our reservation "just came down" to their system, even though we made it earlier in the day (was a larger group). His coldly herding us into a waiting area by the bar for 20 minutes past our reservation wasn't welcome, but overall didn't kill the night.
Service was okay - not great but not horrible. Checks couldn't be split at all, which was annoying.
It's on the expensive side, but not absurd for NYC. Overall I would go back, but service improvements wouldn't hurt.
Rosie OGrady’s is a great find in the North Times Square area. The service is friendly and done with a “no problem” attitude. The choice is everything from traditional pub food to full entrees. The value is good. They even offer prix fixe 3 course meals for a good value.
The place is huge but the tables are spaced far enough apart which is great. The location is great also, close enough to shows but away from maddening Times Square.
The pub was great! Fun atmosphere and tasty bar snacks.
Great Birthday Dinner before going to see Hamilton..
we came for my boyfriend's birthday and I didn't know what to expect but everything was great and affordable... I would definely come back
ambiance very nice. Waiter only moderately friendly. Salads were large and delicious. Stuffed sole was delicious; mahi mahi was not good -very fishy tasting. Waiter did adjust the bill to removed a salad from it when we informed him, so that helped.
We reserved a table for a lunch/theater outing with our daughters and were given a great corner table where we could chat. The menu met all our needs - from burger-loving dad to vegan-only daughter. The ambiance was wonderful, service was attentive and gracious and would highly recommend. Plan to return myself.
We ate here on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful dinner.
I have gone here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Good food and friendly service. The staff is always very accommodating with the seating and any/all food requests.
We felt the meal was very mediocre and the service also.
My original reservation was for six for a gathering of friends from many directions in the city for the holidays. Seven of us showed up, plus a toddler in tow. The hostess could not have been nicer or more helpful. Within minutes we had our round table comfortably set for seven plus a high chair, for the little one. Service was masterfully attentive but never intrusive, with four courses well-paced. Everyone found something to love on the menu, and the food was delicious. It was a great, memorable evening thanks to "Rosie"!
Enjoyable spot. There is a separate bar in the restaurant, and a pub downstairs. Service was great, we were given a table for 4 near the window even though we were only 2, since they had one available. The food comes quickly. I had the chicken oscar, very tasty and buttery with Hollandaise sauce. It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. This is a good place to go before a Broadway show.
The was excellent as always. Table was ready when we arrived. We did find ourselves asking the server for things that should automatically be brought to the table time after time. But I don’t think one lazy server should represent the restaurant in its entirety. Overall the experience was much enjoyed
Been there three times recently, each time was great!
Wonderful service, good food, fast and took reservations!
HAD A LOVELY MEAL FOOD WAS EXCELLENT SERVICE GREAT
WOULD GO AGAIN WHEN VISITING NEW YORK.
Great meal! Our waitress Vanessa was the the absolute best!!! Table for 7 and she wrote nothing down and remembered everything. Been there a few times for dtinks. 1st time eating. Filet mignon was excellent.
We were thrilled to be able to make a last minute reservation on a busy Friday night via Open Table. Food was good and price was reasonable for Manhattan.
