Rosie McCann's - Santana Row Ratings and Reviews
-the Santana row location NEEDS fresh squeezed organic orange and grapefruit juice
-also, NEEDs real organic maple syrup, not sugar or corn syrup knock off products.
-service was great, very apologetic about ut the lack of organic items and no fresh squeezed juice options on the menu
-as Canadian's, no menu items that need maple syrup will be chosen unless the maple syrup is authentic.
On this rainy Sunday evening, we were the only customers seated in the dining area. The staff was extremely attentive so I never had occasion to seek out help. Our waitress made excellent suggestions for our plates and the wine. I wish the bar area had been more removed so as to isolate the noise it emits.
Went in the morning shortly after opening on new years day. Asked to watch the cowboys game for my wife and they obliged. Sat us in the side, front room with a projector as a t.v. It was our server's first time serving as a brunch and admitted to not knowing the menu fully. Which was understandable. We got our drinks and ordered. Our food was very good. I had the Florentine eggs Benedict, which was great. Along with the house potatoes which were alright, they were a bit spicy but not too hot but just not good on the potatoes and they had a bland aftertaste that wasn't good.
Kids had the pancakes and some bacon which was good and wife had the regular breakfast and she said she liked it a lot. Drink and coffee refills were good and often. And taking used plates away was great. The regular priced breakfast combos could have been a couple dollars less and the drinks as well. The kids menu was $7 for two small pancakes and a tiny tiny cup of fruit.
Overall it was good but couple use suggested improvements. Would eat there again and for dinner as well
Rosie McCanns did not respect the Open Table reservation that I'd made a week before our visit, even after showing them your confirmation. They put the four of us at a table for 12 and then rushed us through dinner because of another group coming in...even though it was over an hour until their arrival. We went to an Irish pub to celebrate the life of a special friend and this was NOT the experience we had hoped for!
I've loved my last two recent visits to Rosie's. I sat outside the first time, and in the high booth area of the bar the second. Ambience both times was fun, relaxed and not too noisy to chat with my dining partner. I opt for their hearty offerings - like shepherd's pie and their burger - but the menu is pretty extensive so there's really something for everyone.
Horrible horrible! Would not recommend to anyone! When we got here they stated it was now a nightclub and they would be unable to give us a table. On top of that we would have to pay $10 cover each to enter and paid for bottle service if we wanted a (yes a table is usually required when you are eating). The bouncer gave US attitude saying he had no clue how we had made the reservation. Obviously your management sets your reservation hours we did not make them up. Would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. It is not worth the hassle. I will also think twice about using OpenTable in the future for reservations.
I took my wife to Rosie McCrann's for lunch and we really enjoyed ourselves. We ordered the crab cakes for our appetizer and they were pretty good. My wife ordered cowboy burger and I had Irish pub burger. Everything was great and we will be going back when we return to Santana Row. I had to give the service 3 stars only because our server had our drinks empty for longer than it should had been.
Other than that, IT WAS ALL GOOD!
Was disappointed in the food. I like to experience the local restaurants and was looking forward to trying Rosie McCann's based on the reviews. We ordered Pizza, Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, & the Ribeye. Pizza tasted like a grocery store frozen pizza. Bangers and Mash was bland, dry mashed potatoes and clumpy gravy. The shepherd's pie was just Ok. Steak was ok as well. The best thing about the dinner was the Bloody Mary. Still trying to figure out what the purpose of the flower on my plate of food. Over priced and bland food. Beer and booze maybe the reason to be there.
Our hotel recommended this area for dining. We sat outdoor with our son for dinner. It was a grownup dinner suitable to bring our two year old to. I ordered the Irish nachos and shepards pie. Both exceeded my expectations and the Shepard pie is the best I've ever had (and I've travelled to Ireland twice). The kids menu also had great variety. There were only two negative aspects. Our waitress was forgetful at times but not to a flaw. And I'm 35 weeks pregnant so I didn't get to enjoy the Guinness they have on draft.
My husband and I decided to try Rosies on a Thursday night for an early dinner. The place was pretty empty, more of a bar crown that day. We ordered our dinner and it was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised that a pub had such good health food as well. The Salmon was SO GOOD!
Desert my husband wanted bread pudding. We almost said forget it after waiting 20+ minutes for it. It was delicious as well, and worth the wait in the end, a heads up about how long it was going to take would of been nice. Great food though!
