Rosemary's Thyme Bistro - Clifton Ratings and Reviews
We meet up with some good friends (a couple) every several weeks. They recommended this place. The waitress was really awesome; my husband likes sweet tea and they don't offer it on their menu but she made some specifically for him! My chicken caesar wrap was the best I've ever had ~ it was such a huge portion, though, that we could have shared it! Everyone in the place was really friendly and kept stopping by to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend this place!
Not your run of the mill, rerun menu; it has interesting dishes with international flair. Everything tasted amazing! The wine was also minimally marked up for a restaurant which was very nice. The interior is not fancy but the menu makes up for that for date potential. We will return!
Uncharacteristically, the service was terrible during this visit. Our waiter was completely inattentive, opting instead to constantly chat with a lady customer sitting at the bar, rather than keep an eye on the tables he was serving. I literally had to go to the bar to get his attention at least twice during our meal when we needed something.
Also uncharacteristically, my lamb was not prepared as I wished, and I had to send it back.
We are regular customers and very much enjoy dining at Rosemary's Thyme. We expect that the problems outlined above are anomalous and will not recur.
Rosemary's Thyme is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. The staff remembers you, and you remember them from visit to visit. The wait staff is always well trained. All items on the menu are very tasty and presented well. However, the menu never changes; ergo, I wish they would develop the practice of offering daily specials to complement their standard menu.
Great off the menu brunch with lots of options. Portions are very generous and the food tasty! Service was a bit slow at times, but well worth the wait. Although I have lived in the area since Rosemary's opened, this was my first visit. Not sure why, but I will definitely go back to try out lunch and dinner.
Our church has come several times when we do a group brunch after church. The food is good, the service is sometimes slow but the servers are always friendly and pleasant and do their best accommodate all the numerous requests that the group has. It is definitely a group favorite.
Horrible service during Mother's Day!!! We made a reservation and were promptly seated. The service declined from there. Our waitress took our orders and was very polite, but then we waited (and waited and waited) for our food. Our waitress, another server and the manager came over to inform us that our food would be out "soon" We waited almost an hour for our entrees. Meanwhile, other diners that arrived after us received their food. Our food was comped after my husband spoke with the manager, but there weren't any initial plans to compensate us for the horrible service. We've been to Rosemary's several times (including Easter), so we know this was a fluke day and will return, but probably not for a holiday.
First time visiting Rosemary's Thyme and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu is extensive and all of us had a difficult time narrowing down our preferences......so many delicious options to pick from!! Our salads (small) were generous, fresh and delicious. We all had pasta dishes and all were wonderful. A special shout out to the house-made fettuccine. Marvelous!!!
Our server was attentive but not intrusive, and quite knowledgeable about the menu.
I can't believe this neighborhood gem has been just around the corner from our home and we've never been here before. We WILL be back, and bring our friends!!!!
The dining experience began with the server spilling a tray of drinks on my daughter and granddaughter. The drink soak my daughter clothing and my granddaughter's dance costume. Management apologized but did offer to pay for the cleaning of costume. Luckily my daughter bought a change of clothing for Granddaughter. The food was good but watching my daughter sit through dinner in wet clothing and my Granddaughter's disappointment in her wine soak recital costume made the food only fair at best. Just a bad experience around. Will not go back.
Rosemary's Thyme is one of our regular places, and seemed like a good choice for Valentine's Day dinner. We would do it again, but would stick to the regular menu rather than the specials. Things they do well, they do all of the time, like the pastas and kebabs. The beef special was sweet, and not in a good way. On the other hand, my husband's dry martini was the best he's ever had there.
One of our regular places to dine. The menu is excellent with lots of choices from light eating to a full dinner experience. Their Mediterranean salad is notable as is their Crawfish with Saffron sauce, but you cannot go wrong with the Branzino. Once you have dined here you will return I am sure.
My husband is from Turkey, so when we saw a lot of the menu was Turkish, we had to check it out even though it was a drive. Unfortunately, we waited nearly 15 minutes for service, having to ask for one to come to our table after a couple sitting next to us who had arrived after were servied first. Also, our waiter did not seem knowledgeable about Turkish food, mispronouncing Çöp Şiş (actually pronounced chop shish). While the menu on the website spells most of the Turkish items with the accents, the one in the restaurant did not have the accents, and he pronounced it as it seemed to read in English, even after my husband had said it correctly when ordering. I'm not sure, but the waiter may have thought he was correcting my husband or he didn't pay attention. While the the Çöp Şiş, branzino, and, mussels meze were tasty, my husband did not think his adana kebab entree was authentic, tasting like it was made from pre-made gyro meat instead of freshly sliced döner meat. The lahmacun we shared was not bad, but while the waiter claimed to have given us all the accompaniments, they were not authentic as well, missing the tomatoes and replacing parsely with lettuce. While the restaurant is not completely Turkish, they should make sure their staff is educated about what they're serving, and with all the multiple authentic Turkish restaurants around town with better service, there does not seem much reason to make the drive again.
We have been going to Rosemary's Thyme Bistro since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food and service is always excellent and everyone is very friendly. We can't wait to see what their new renovation will reveal. This is a place that will find a place in you dining heart and you will return time and time again.
We made reservations for Mother's Day lunch in the mid-afternoon. We were greeted and seated promptly. The servers were very busy so another server took our drink order within a reasonable time period. After placing our order for lunch with our waitress- a salad, two sandwiches and pancakes - we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food to be delivered - and then it came out one dish at a time over 5-10 minutes. Our waitress apologized repeatedly, refilled our drinks and repeatedly offered more bread. The manager came over once and offered to check on our order. She reported that there were 3 tickets ahead of ours (we had been told this same thing about 15 minutes earlier by our waitress). She did not apologize or offer anything other than more bread. She said that someone should have told us when we were seated that the kitchen was running about 45 minutes behind on orders due to the busy day. When our food arrived it was good but we we asked for boxes and the check and ate part of our meals but mostly just wanted to leave.
The restaurant did take 20% off our check and did not charge us for the iced teas and sodas. I was most disappointed that the manager was not more involved with making our dining experience better. I was dining with my husband and two teenage kids and since it was Mother's Day I did not want to have a negative talk with the manager but we left certain that we would never go back because of how unpleasant it was to sit in this restaurant for so long feeling very hungry and be offered just bread and drinks.
The food was good. Unfortunately they had a lot of customers and the kitchen could not keep up. We waited over an hour for any of our food to come out. The waitress apologized and did all she could and they did take 25% off the bill. Will go back, just not on a holiday.
We have been going to Rosemary's Thyme Bistro for over 20 years. It is on of our local favorite spots to eat. Service is always friendly and good. The food is excellent and the wine list is not extensive but very adequate with very good selections to complement any meal you choose. We highly recommend this cozy bistro style local gem.
