Rose Tattoo Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We went there today for a nice dinner. Dinner was great but the power went out and we were paying with card. They took down my credit card info and expected me to "trust them" and now o have to call back later to remind them to rip up the paper. This is crazy. They offered no discount and even asked my boyfriend if he could go walk in the rain and find an atm. So unprofessional and now I'm freaking out about my card info. I will never go there again
Also they charged me more than what I authorized
Really romantic place, great food and drinks. Except service was really slow, at least for Valentine's Day. We had a reservation but yet we have to wait for 25 minutes to get our table. They really take their time in making the food, which the food taste excellent but if you're hungry, you might want to look for someplace else.
Rose Tattoo Cafe probably has the best calamari appetizer in the city. So good! Very cute place inside. The Chilean sea bass was very good. My husband had the jambalaya and he said that was very good. It was pretty expensive overall in my opinion, almost $200 for two people after 20% tip and only one alcoholic drink each. It’s was nice to try, but not sure if we’d go back anytime soon.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Rose Tattoo! It's one of our long-time favorites. We both had the grilled filet mignon medallions with twice baked, baked potato and sauteed vegetables and loved our meals. Scott, our waiter, was very attentive and friendly. We love the atmosphere of the bar (very warm and cozy) and the restaurant (feels like New Orleans). Highly recommended!
This is an adorable restaurant. Very good food. I found the service to be mediocre and when we sat at the bar after our meal we had to wait almost 10 min to be served. The signature cocktail that we ordered was the same as at dinner but it tasted completely different. Otherwise a good outing and we would try this restaurant again.
We've eaten here twice now and it's been an awesomely delectable experience both times. First time we went, which was about a month ago, we started with salad and tried the daily flatbread. The wedge was one of the best I've had, plus you have a choice of either the normal blue cheese dressing or Russian dressing. We opted for Russian and it added a nice flavor to the dish. The flatbread was delicious. The second time we went, this past Sunday, we repeated the wedge, still just as great. I had the chicken breast entree and it was done perfectly. The sides of risotto, cauliflower, and a tomato puree of some sort were just right with the chicken. My husband had the scallops and loved the entire dish. We live about an hour away, so have gone there when we've been in town. If we lived closer, it would be our go-to place.
We've eaten here before and have never been disappointed. It's especially convenient if you are going to the museum district. The bar was wonderful for pre-dinner cocktails. The dinner atmosphere is VERY nice. The food is terrific and the service good. We recommend it to anyone looking for a nice dinner.
All three of us were very pleased with the appetizers (flatbreads, mushroom soup) and main courses (pastas and crabcakes). We were seated in a cozy and quiet part of the restaurant and the service was polite and attentive. Excellent wine by the glass (cabernet). Generous portions, very tasty desserts.
The Rose Tattoo was such a unique and delicious experience. The flatbread special with prosciutto and moz and tomatoes...OMG. if they have it--get it. It was a little cold by the windows but that was because it was bout 1 degree outsside, so no points off there--not really. I don't understand wine, tbh, but the list was extensive and seemed very classy. the upstairs has such a nice ambiance-so pretty. I 100000% would eat here again.
I was given a surprise party a few days before Christmas when most restaurants would not have given us a private room. The space/room was perfect. The staff worked to keep the surprise and everything worked. The food was served hot for a large group and everyone was extremely happy with their meals.
Very disappointed. Have loved the restaurant for years, and have come for many special occasions. This time, however, the food was not up to par, and seemed quite over-priced for the level of quality and quantity received. The mushroom soup, always a favorite, was not nearly as good as usual; the aged provolone app was singularly uninteresting; and the calamari were as rubbery as rubber bands. For $9, the Caesar salad was some lettuce, a few croutons, and a hard piece of what was supposed to be garlic bread that had no taste at all. Do not intend to go back, and would not recommend to friends at this point.
