Service was excellent, everything came out in a timely manner, I plan to return on a later date.
Upon arrival, our greeting was less than warm. We were seated at a tiny table for two, which was flush with a wall. Less than comfortable. We were also between two feuding couples, which was no one’s fault, but also less than ideal. Server did an adequate job, but due to restaurant policies, did not want to split our check. She ended up doing it but was worried about getting in trouble. The mushroom soup was pretty good, but the rest of the meal, cocktails and wine were just average. For the price, I had higher expectations. The wrought iron details were very pretty and the lighting was inviting. It has the potential to be a nice setting for a romantic dinner, but feels like they are happy to be just good enough.
Great atmosphere and food. I would highly recommend the calamari and filet egg roll as appetizers.
Solid, terrific food! Great service and a beautiful ambience. Portions are large and everything was delicious!
The service was very good. The food was okay, not outstanding. Highly overpriced. Phil’s Tavern in Blue Bell has far superior ribs at a much lower price. Rose Tattoo isn’t worth the money.
Love this restaurant, my absolute favorite in the Philly area. Service is always incredible, the fillet may be the best in the city.
Had filet, date had salmon, both excellent. Had Vanilla Crème Brûlée for dessert, dee-lish! Also very considerate - accidentally left my book there and they called me before I got home. Offered to mail or hold. Very nice!
I have never had anything but great food here.vceverything about this restaurant is first class!
Simply the finest restaurant. Good service and atmosphere. I am a major foodie and RT is my fav
We my daughter for dinner. The dining area is cozy and provides excellent table separation. The food is well prepared and presented. I recommend this spot
We had never tried the Rose Tatoo before. We had reservations at 745. We did arrive a half hour early and went to the bar. We watched the crowd, saw wonderful food get served to bar patrons and waited. And waited and waited. The restaurant was clearly under staffed We were seated at 830, even though there were empty tables not full. Our food arrived at 9. The appetizer mussels were delicious. I ordered a Cesar salad and the appetizer lamb chops as my entree. My lamb came first and then the salad as my husband received his fish. Our waitress did take the salad off the bill
Would we go back? Probably not. The staff felt rattled and catered to the regulars. The location was excellent , the bar staff was delightful But no. There are too many other excellent restaurants in Philly to try next
Members of my family have been here before, but this was my first experience at Rose Tattoo. I ordered the house salad with the roasted tomato vinaigrette. It was amazing and just the right addition to my dinner. My husband had the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and enjoyed that as well. Our server suggested a half portion of the wedge salad as he also planned to get an entrée. For the entrée I had the crab cakes. Just as our server described, they came with very little filling and a fresh corn sauce. My husband order the famous jambalaya. It was so visually appealing that the table next to us asked him what it was. The dish included mussels, sausage, shrimp and a fresh roasted pepper. Our server was wonderful and everyone in our party (8 in total) had a wonderful experience. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Great food at a reasonable price. Few patrons for lunch on a rainy Friday noon. Unfortunately the Louds had a table in the area and were a little distracting but nothing the restaurant could do
Also has easy access to parking
There was a two separate dining area. One side give you the greenhouse garden feel and the other side of the restaurant give you a tavern old fashion sense. Our family really enjoyed the delicious meals. We order the crispy calamari and grilled baby lamb chops. If you are a mushroom lover like I am you must try the mushroom bisque. Love It! My son order the shrimp pasta and when the dish came out I was surprise how big the shrimp were. The only thing that was not so great was the diver sea scallops. It was a bit over cook so it got rubbery. Beside that everything was wonderful. Will be making reservation to come back soon.
We had dinner on Saturday evening with old friends and everyone had a lovely time. The food was top notch and the service was professional and attentive. The waiter made recommendations on the menu and all were spot on. The restaurant had a cool French Quarter vibe. We will definitely return.
Everything was delicious and the service as always was perfect.
We went there today for a nice dinner. Dinner was great but the power went out and we were paying with card. They took down my credit card info and expected me to "trust them" and now o have to call back later to remind them to rip up the paper. This is crazy. They offered no discount and even asked my boyfriend if he could go walk in the rain and find an atm. So unprofessional and now I'm freaking out about my card info. I will never go there again
Also they charged me more than what I authorized
Feel like you’re in a London pub with a New Orleans twist. Great decor. Food was good. Salad not dressed sufficiently. Good location if you’re going to any of the museums on the Parkway, Logan Square.
Always always always a wonderful dining experience in every way!
Rose Tattoo never disappoints. Fresh food and great atmosphere.
Rose Tattoo delivers! Our party shared the shitake and veggie rolls and lamb shops. Then ordered the baby back ribs, salmon and scallops as entrees. Each dish was beautifully prepared and delicious.
I went for Valentines Day. Despite the very full restaurant, our waiter was very attentive. We were pleased with the food as well.
All I can say is I love it the food was wonder, the atmosphere was beautiful. The workers where very wonder polite and on time
The main room is brautiful, the food is very good but not amazing, the service is friendly but not over-the-top, but it's way overpriced. $37 salmon better be the greatest salmon ever, not just merely good.
Valentine’s Day is a tough night for restaurants but we had a great experience. Excellent food & service
Really romantic place, great food and drinks. Except service was really slow, at least for Valentine's Day. We had a reservation but yet we have to wait for 25 minutes to get our table. They really take their time in making the food, which the food taste excellent but if you're hungry, you might want to look for someplace else.
Rose Tattoo Cafe probably has the best calamari appetizer in the city. So good! Very cute place inside. The Chilean sea bass was very good. My husband had the jambalaya and he said that was very good. It was pretty expensive overall in my opinion, almost $200 for two people after 20% tip and only one alcoholic drink each. It’s was nice to try, but not sure if we’d go back anytime soon.
Great food and Romantic beyond belief. It had been years since we were here and we are thrilled to have returned.
The food and service were great as usual. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Philadelphia.
Perfect dining experience for a romantic getaway weekend. Old city charm and amazing food. Highly recommend sitting in the upstairs if possible.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Rose Tattoo! It's one of our long-time favorites. We both had the grilled filet mignon medallions with twice baked, baked potato and sauteed vegetables and loved our meals. Scott, our waiter, was very attentive and friendly. We love the atmosphere of the bar (very warm and cozy) and the restaurant (feels like New Orleans). Highly recommended!
I love this place. It's cozy, the food is great, the service superb. The ambience is great. Always have a wonderful time here.
This was the day of the eagles parade. Needless to say it was crazy. Service was great. Sorry I can't remember her name but the hostess was excellent very accommodating along with our waitress.
The service at the Rose Tattoo was outstanding. The atmosphere was comfortable and the food was very good. We will definitely be going back.
Fantastic veal tenderloin and salmon in beautiful surroundings
Great food and service we appreciated the small but interesting menu. BBQ shrimp appetizer was tasty and crab cakes excellent. The corn side with the crab was unusual and flavorful. Rose Tattoo Cafe is our new go to in Philadelphia.
This is an adorable restaurant. Very good food. I found the service to be mediocre and when we sat at the bar after our meal we had to wait almost 10 min to be served. The signature cocktail that we ordered was the same as at dinner but it tasted completely different. Otherwise a good outing and we would try this restaurant again.
Food and service were excellent! From appetizers, to desserts... everything was delicious!
I’ve been here several times and the food is always delicious. Service is great too.
We've eaten here twice now and it's been an awesomely delectable experience both times. First time we went, which was about a month ago, we started with salad and tried the daily flatbread. The wedge was one of the best I've had, plus you have a choice of either the normal blue cheese dressing or Russian dressing. We opted for Russian and it added a nice flavor to the dish. The flatbread was delicious. The second time we went, this past Sunday, we repeated the wedge, still just as great. I had the chicken breast entree and it was done perfectly. The sides of risotto, cauliflower, and a tomato puree of some sort were just right with the chicken. My husband had the scallops and loved the entire dish. We live about an hour away, so have gone there when we've been in town. If we lived closer, it would be our go-to place.
