Rosaria Ratings and Reviews
Went for Thanksgiving, everything superb, from the service to the turkey to the jazz trio, exceptional. First time, with many more to come. I knew it would be quality having purchased their meats, pastries and home made foods for years. They’ve kept me well fed indeed.
We were there for a birthday dinner. Service was spot on, very accommodating and attentive. we started with 3 appetizers, fried calamari tender, lite and flavorful. broiled oysters and lamb chops (tender tasty and perfect temp).
dinner created my own surf and turf with no issues. Rib Eye and Pan Seared Scallops, perfectly cooked and seasoned. My dad ordered haddock special with scallops and diced tomatoes. Flakey, moist just like it should be.
today was a home run.
We enjoyed every aspect of our evening. The bartender was very accomodating making drinks for our party of six and we had a lovely table in the dining room. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful and we had a great meal, wine and the dessert was the real spumoni with sauce, which no one seems to offer any more. Our waitress was very cordial and knew the menu well. Reccomend this for special occasions.
We went on a Wednesday night for my birthday. It was a quiet night for the restaurant so we had unbelievable attention and service. The restaurant is lovely and we liked that the tables were spaced apart, unlike some restaurants where you feel like your eating with the people next to you. The food was great and my drink, a pistachio martini, was also very good. We both had the short ribs and the portions were huge. We both took food home.. I would definitely go back and I have already recommended Rosaria to friends and family.
The food was fantastic. Our waitress was professional, attentive and funny. She asked if it was our first time dining there which it was. When we asked questions about the ingredients in the entrées she was very knowledgeable. She wanted to make sure we had a great experience. Everyone that worked in the restaurant was friendly to us starting from the very moment we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly and professional hostess who walked up to our table. We were then greeted by our waitress. The restaurants decor was beautiful. We sat on the outside deck over looking the beautiful garden. It did get a little cool I wish they had a few outside heating lamps and some cushions for our chairs. It was a Little pricey for just dinner but I would go again to celebrate a special occasion.
Great food, sat outside on a beautiful evening. Read a lot of reviews, one review kept coming up that the wait staff doesn't mention the specials. I had to ask what they were, the waitress seemed unsure and had to read them. I ordered one of the specials and it was great, but for this price, I shouldn't have to ask for info that should be their job.
We celebrated Father's Day. We picked Rosaria's because we celebrated Mother's Day and it was excellent. Food & cocktails were great. The wait service is excellent. Very friendly and knowledgable. Can't wait to go back to sit out on the patio. It looks very inviting.
We have been to Rosaria multiple times as we enjoy the restaurant. This time was our 29th Anniversary and one of our favorite items and reasons we go there is for the Carpaccio. We ordered 2 as usual were told they had only one left which sounded odd since all you have to do is thin slice some Filet etc. We asked for the manager who came over who apologized and said he would be back as dinner progressed to make it up to us but he never did return. We then went to the bar for a drink while we awaited our pickup and he again made no effort at service recovery which was disappointing to say the least. Bert
I really wanted to love this place. When you enter, it's in a building with a super market and a VFW. But visually, it's gorgeous with a grand piano, dark wood and a good use of the space they have. However, the staff was very unpolished. The hostess was super rough around the edges and awkward. We were sat, and our waitress was very similar. We were never told any specials (didn't know there were specials until after we had ordered and the table next to us asked). The cocktails were good. I had a salad, which came out as a wedge (but wasn't described in the menu as a wedge). I'm just the wrong audience for this, as I dislike wedge salad. My husband got calamari which he liked. We both ordered steaks. Mine was cooked well, but was not a really exceptional cut. For $30 - $60 per steak, I wanted something on par with Flemings or Ruth's Chris. This was more Longhorn. My husband got the bone-in ribeye, which came out rare despite him ordering it medium plus. Again, it was fine and he ate it - but when you're paying $60 per steak, it's the details that matter. Finally, we ordered the sweet potato fries which was an awkwardly cut up sweet potato. They were out of the sauce that I ordered. We love fine dining and often head into Boston for a great steak. The idea of a premium steakhouse the next town over is so tempting. Yet Rosaria's just fails to deliver. Too many little misses combined with a hefty pricetag (think $200 for two drinks, a salad and app, two steaks and a side) means that I'd avoid this and just head for a classic, trusted steakhouse next time.
I've driven by Rosaria a few times and thought we should give it a try. The people I was with are all "foodies" and all agreed it was hands down one of the best meals ever! Short ribs, veal special and surf and turf. I got seafood but will get meat the next time because Joe Pace makes sure nothing but the best is served. He even stops at your table to make sure you're happy. So the bottom line is my food snobby friends and I LOVED it and cannot wait to go back!! I almost don't want the word to get out so I don't have to wait for a reservation;)
Great food. Unprofessional servers. Removing plates from the table while others are still eating. Reaching across the table to serve or remove dishes instead of going to the diners side.
Music blasting at 9:00 pm. Could barely hear what was being said at our table. Dining room has been minimized to accommodate bands in the evening.
Members of the band soliciting diners for photos, passing out media for upcoming events, and bringing wrist bands to diners. Very tacky.
Really disappointed that a restaurant that I considered to be of high quality to stoop to the level of a beer hall.
I will not return nor recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had heard good things about the restaurant so we decided to try it for Valentines Day. We were really disappointed when they sat us in the function room instead of the restaurant, but they were very accommodating and moved us into the restaurant. They explained to us that the computers were not working so it was slowing things down. That didnt seem to be a big problem until we tried to pay our bill. It took quite awhile. We were surprised that they didn't at least offer us a dessert or a glass of wine for our having to wait so long. Not that we wanted anything, but that would have gone a long way. The food was just ok, not worth going back for though. The atmosphere was cold, not a warm feeling.
The food was nominally priced for Italian food. I got fruti di Mari which was ok with scallops clams and shrimp. The wife got chicken piccata which was chicken with bland sauce and asparagus. Our 8 yr old got Spaghetti and meatballs and she was happy. The food was good, nothing to go crazy over but good meals. The problem here was the service. It was tremendously slow and it took over 2 hours for us to eat a anti pasto and our meals. No coffee or anything just meals.
We are glad we went to try it out but probably wouldn't make a trip back.
Went to Rosaria for Valentines Day with my wife. The night just didn't start well. Four employees there when we arrived but no one really greeted us. Left waiting to give our coats and check to see if we had a reservation. We did arrive 5 mins early and had to wait which was totally fine. But 2 other couples arrived 15-30 mins early but were seated first. Just felt we were forgotten about. After being seated and waiting a good 10 mins, the waitress came and explained the computers were down. The waitress was good but seemed quite busy based on the situation. There was a live singer and it was much louder than I expected. Most people seemed to enjoy the night. After finishing the meal, which was very good, it took us 30 mins to pay since it was busy and they had computer issues. I do understand the computers were down, making seating, ordering and payment slower but basic customer service wasn't on display for such a special night. If there was a more greeting and inviting start with some explanation, perhaps the night would of started better. But $120 for just 2 entrees and lackluster night, I don't think I would give it another try.
Went here for Valentines Night Dinner. It was a disaster. They opened up their function room to accommodate more customers. The function space was terrible. I felt like I was eating at a vfw hall. The food was ok and the service was terrible. This restaurant should really look at their valentines night experience.
Has always been excellent. However food was warm at best and arrived when they brought out a party of 14 or so men's dinner. Maybe ours was sitting there for awhile.
I also got the seafood special a few eeeks ago with lobster, 6 jumbo shrimp, scallops and linguini. This time I also order the special, same price and had small salad shrimp. The shrimp and scallops were a little tough also. The 1st time the presentation was great. This time not so. Seemed like there was a new chef or maybe the 2 large groups of men (yes another separate group of 12 men arrived) was the difference. Will give it one more try.
