   Birthday dinner…Lobster deviled eggs were delicious! Filet and Short Ribs cooked excellently…but spice in Demi glacé a bit too strong. I would have liked it less spiced so I could taste the meat more purely. Yorkshire pudding hard when served. My husband loved the short ribs. Service is always excellent! We love Roots overall!

   Andy and Grace gave us excellent service. The food was phenomenal. It was nice that Andy & the Manager recognized us after not being there in over a year. I forgot how great this place is. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

    Our go to place for a guaranteed superb meal. We started with salads - hubby the wedge, which he declared to be the best salad he ever had, and I had the beet salad which was fresh and flavorful as well. Then we both enjoyed the Wild Mushroom penne pasta and hubby had chicken on his and I had the prawns. Oh, there was wonderful bread and plentiful butter along with these delights. We were no longer the least bit hungry but split the creme brûlée. It was a wonderful meal as we expected it to be, the service was perfect. I just recommended Roots to a friend today.

    Roots is always spot on. We’ve taken to going there twice a month or more and are greeted like old friends at this point. Love the menu and bar, love the space, always a good meal.

    My boyfriend and I love going to roots. It’s become our favorite spot. We had never come on a weekday before, it was very quiet. But like always the service and food was amazing. Never disappointed with this place.

    We had a wonderful experience as we always have had dining at Roots! I had the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten and our daughter demolished a flavorful rib eye steak and crispy fries. My husband had flavorful breakfast he enjoyed. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant. We enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend Roots!

    First time going for Sunday Brunch. Toughest decision was choosing between Chicken Biscuit and Port Belly Benedict. Luckily, my wife ordered one and I the other. And! Prices reasonable given todays inflation.

    This wasn’t our first visit for brunch and in the past service was outstanding, but our server seemed to be off. He was slow and not very warm. Distant and all business I would say. The servers who refilled coffee and water were fine and attentive. The food was great as always. Guess everyone is entitled to a bad day and maybe they had spread him too thin, but it does put a damper on things. Won’t stop us from returning as past visits for brunch and dinner have been top notch.

    We hadn't been to Roots since before the pandemic but we were pleasantly surprised that the quality of food and service are still outstanding. The server and support staff were very attentive and helpful without being obtrusive. The restaurant seemed to be 100% full but it was still quiet enough to have an easy conversation amongst the four of us. The food was excellent and well-presented. We will be going back.

    The halibut, stuffed chicken and the filet mignon didn't have much flavor. Mashed potatoes were watery. Stuffing in the chicken was almost none. Salads before dinner were decent. Desserts just okay. None of the food lived up to the pricing. Very small white wine list. The kicker was our server who touched the rim of every water glass he filled and the top of the water bottle. That with a few unappetizing stories resulted in us all being a bit repulsed. We were disappointed by the entire experience when considering the cost.

    Delicious food & great service! Had the scallops to start with. Salmon for my entree and my husband had the prime rib. Apple crisp for dessert and the Jezebel Pinot was fantastic.

    It was my 75th birthday. We did ask to move to a warmer table. It still was pretty chilly -will dress warmer next time. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

    The food was great, service was excellent, but I was disappointed in the level of cleanliness as our table had several crumbs and a spot of something crusted on. The napkin also had a crumb laying atop it.
