When you settle in, you come home to roost. A roost is a place that feels comfortable. It’s a place where we all have a little something in common. It’s a place that takes a community and builds it into a home. That’s the spirit of ROOST Restaurant located in the new, exciting and vibrant community of NOMA Square on Main Street in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Situated next to the Hyatt Regency Greenville, ROOST is a casual restaurant featuring the best fresh local bounty that the Piedmont has to offer. Our focus is on giving the community a place to eat local, organic, and seasonal food of the highest quality, cooked with care, and at an honest price. Roost will offer guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience including outdoor seating in NOMA Square, an open kitchen with ringside seating along the Kitchen Counter, an open-air bar area, and a Harvest Table where guests can work with the chef directly to build their own meals.

Best brunch in downtown Greenville and fun for our family after church. Our kids love it and it’s the best new they eat all week! Excellent service. Friendly staff. Never disappoints.

My goodness I have a new favorite restaurant! Between the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff, creative drinks and unique, tasty entrees, I'd give this joint 100 stars if I could!

We went on a belated Valentine’s Day date and everything was amazing. We received some great wine and beer recommendations for our food and even got talked into dessert - it didn’t disappoint. We had a booth, and although we were between a lot of other tables it still felt very intimate. If you haven’t been, go! you’ll love it like we did.

Pretty good lunch. My only complaint with the food was I ordered the half order of dry rub wings and I was kind of disappointed. It tasted like a “shake and bake” seasoning but much saltier. My motto is if it’s a good wing it doesn’t need sauce, but I wish I did get them with a sauce because the dry rub left a poor taste in my mouth. Other than that my burger was spot on and my friends meals were equally as good. The place was huge and really nice. Our waitress Angelica was great as well.

Met by a really friendly hostess. Our waitress was taking care of several tables but was quite attentive in taking care of us. My date had a special request that was easily accommodated. Ordered her steak Medium and was a bit over cooked. I had a great burger with a bacon pepper jelly - awesome! We had a great experience!

OpenTable misrepresented Roost menu and we were told you used last years Valentine Menu that was NOT offered this year so we were quite bummed by that.

Service was great. Seated right away on Valentine’s Day. We had reservations. Food was very good but perhaps needed a few more choices on the menu. Entire family of 12 also enjoyed the Christmas brunch at Roost. We will return.

We were really looking forward to dining here. It is beautifully decorated inside and we were really excited about the food because most of it was local. Our seating wasn't great. They sat us next to the server station so we could hear their conversations most of the time. And then of course they sit a large table next to us with about five young kids. I really wish restaurants would have a kid only section. Not everyone enjoys hearing loud kids while they are spending a lot of money on a nice dinner. Our server was great but she rushed us during the whole meal and we felt like we couldn't just relax. We were midway through our meal when she brought out the dessert menu. The food was ok and I was really disappointed because we both wanted to feel blown away. We got the rabbit which was good but it had so much cumin and that was all you tasted. The meatloaf was just a dense brick. No taste. The bacon jam did help but the homemade ketchup, again with the cumin. Too overpowering. I'm really bummed to leave such an unpleasant review but our experience was just that.

They were so accommodating ... a specific shout out to Hunter for making blue cheese stuffed olives especially for us for our Dirty Martinis ... the drinks and the olives were excellent!

THANK YOU for having Vegan and Vegetarian options.!!! We tried the Butternut Squash Hummus , the Wild Mushroom "Naked" Pasta AND the Zpaghetti, and they were ALL FABULOUS!! We'll be back to try the Lavender Pumpkin Bisque and the Vegetable Curry very soon!

Wonderful food, great service, and overall fantastic evening. If you are looking for just a drink, they have a large bar area that you can sit at with some fun drink specials. The food has a farm to table feel with interest twists on classic southern food. I had a dish that was along the lines and Shrimp and Grits but had it with Alligator Sausage and it was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also, make sure to check out the lobby of the Hyatt Regency while you are there, as this is the restaurant for the hotel. It is a beautiful lobby with a great bar for an after dinner drink.

We were in Greenville for the Beatles Return. Was a great place to eat, lots of vegetarian options and our waiter was great...sorry I have not remembered his name...but...he used to live in Athens! We plan to come back for another show and will definitely return!!!!!

Great food, but by 1:00, I felt as if the buffet was rather picked over and not fresh. There didn't seem to be much attention to replenishment of the supply. Great staff and atmosphere, but I wasn't blown away.

My husband ordered the Hamburger, we were extremely hungry when it came out, we were having conversations with friends when he put down his burger after eating several bites.
My husband mentioned that the texture was different and different.
Our friend said to him WOW I have ever seen a burger that rare! My husband looked at the burger and it was rare, I mean rare!!!
The sauce covered up the meat until you bite into it. It grossed us out!! The manager came over and took it off our bill, we hope he doesn’t get sick.
I took a photo of it because it the most rare burger I have ever seen.

For our meals Daniel and I ordered the Fried Chicken and Dumplings. Debbie and Doug II had the Scallops. Wow! Literally, the table went silent as we enjoyed our food so much we didn't even speak. The best Dumplings and Gravy I have ever had. My wife, a tough critic, loved her Scallops and was the first to begin the consensus dialogue for our next visit. We will return! This is our new go-to special occasion place.

The dessert options were Apple Cheesecake and Sweet Potato Creme Caramel. Once again our order split down the middle. They both were confectionary giants! I could eat these desserts every day for the rest of my life. Though surprising to me, the Sweet Potato Creme Caramel edged out the delicious Apple Cheesecake. Unique deliciousness always wins out.

Ultimately, the venue is beautiful, airy and romantic. The service was perfect-Derrick gets it. The food was awesome. Even though the restaurant was near or at capacity by the time we left, the noise level was low and the tables were spacious and comfortable. Add to that a spotless restaurant in a beautiful courtyard and we could not have expected better anywhere tonight.

They're awesome--5 star awesome. If you have $50.00 a person and want a close to perfection meal, come to Roost and find your happy place. It will change your life.

We have been to Roost on several occasions. As usual the services was great. Our only complaint would been the risotto was WAY under cooked. Normally the food here is perfect so I am sure it was just an oversight. We will defiantly return.
