Excellent food. Outdoor patio accommodated our puppy.
Alexa was an outstanding waitress.
Busy night. Was not served for a while. Once a server found us, service was great
Worst service we have every experienced anywhere. It was like amateur night from the hostess to the bar keep to the waiter to the server to the runners.
Drinks took way too long to receive. We waited to order our appetizers and they arrived before our drinks. Unacceptable. We sent the apps back. Our dinner sale arrived and after just one or two bites our entrees arrived. Timing was atrocious. The rabbit taco was excellent but the meatloaf entree was as tough as leather - you needed a steak knife to cut through. The chicken and dumplings were good. To their credit the appetizer was comped but I can't recommend the restaurant due to the poor service and only one of the two entrees being edible.
We both had the Spinach salad with salmon. It was excellent. I will definitely order that again next time.
Excellent service and meal
We went for Sunday brunch and the food was fabulous. We had great service, too. Favorites were the collard greens, mac n' cheese, salad bar, desserts, and drinks!
It was fine ... decent food ..nice atmosphere..just not "wow!".. tell a friend you gotta go there .
Best part for me is we had a big party and we were seated right away on a Saturday night without a long wait .
We came to Greenville to take our son out for a Saturday night meal treat. He lives on campus and is two weeks away from graduation. We had a very good experience. The food was delicious and we received service with a smile. We ordered different dishes and passed them around to taste. It was a little pricey for our typical meal budget, but I am willing to pay a bit more to know (which they state on their menu), that they use many organics and are aware of where their meat is sourced from. We would return again.
Hostess was not pleasant. Took almost ten minutes from the time we sat down to be waited on. Food was not good.
We love that you all had such great vegetarian dishes... We were so impressed with how good it tasted.. We are not vegetarians but we love to eat that way much of the time. My brother and his wife are vegetarian and they loved it too! So will come back again.
It was our anniversary and we wanted to celebrate it in good place. We ordered meat plate - was good, smoked rabbit - was too salty and over spiced, scallops - over grilled and not tasty side. Wine was good and location is good. Price - 130$ too much for such food.
We went to Roost for our Wedding Anniversary dinner and fell in love with the food and ambiance and we will be coming back every year for our anniversary. The food was so delicious and the service was amazing. Great night and great restaurant!
Wonderful brunch, many items to choose from; great variety.
The Roost continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Greenville for special occasions. The price of Sunday brunch seems a little high ($20) for the value received. The best thing for this visit is that it was not too crowded.
Waitress, did not tell us what the specials were. We had to hear from a couple beside us. She kept forgetting things we asked for. Example, we asked for straws and she only gave one to my husband. Why didn't she offer one to me??? My husband's salmon was raw inside. Waitress was just very unpleasant and not friendly at all. We are a African American couple and we felt she catered to the Caucasians customers and paid more attention to them. Just my opinion!!! We spent $100 for awful service and sub standard food!
My wife and I ate at Roost before the big Styx / REO Speedwagon / Don Felder concert at the Well. The food was very good but the service was a bit slow.
My husband and I were very pleased with our choices, meatloaf with bacon jam and fried chicken with sage dumplings. I also loved the pepperjack grits. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and we valued her recommendations.
We went at 6 PM on Easter Sunday. They only had a buffet style food and it was mostly left over from their Sunday brunch and was terrible. It must have sat there since lunchtime. We sat outside and I had to go in myself to find a waiter. He never came out to ask us if we needed anything, so I had to go inside to hunt for the check. They apologized and comped one of the meals. . I left a $5 tip for a $100 check which was $5 more than they deserved. With all the great restaurants in Greenville , they won't be around long. Don't waste your time here/
Excellent post- Easter service brunch buffet! The food was very well prepared and there were delicious choices for breakfast as well as lunch items! My family had a wonderful time. Thanks!
Roost was a perfect meeting place for an informal business meeting that included spouses and guests that are new to the area.
The farm to table menu highlighted the freshness of Greenville and the Upstate.
We chose Roost for the locally sourced food. The food was very good; I had the scallops and risotto. Delicious. Ate every bite, which is unusual for me. Drinks were also quite good; they had my bourbon of choice, and the waitress knew what I was ordering.
The service was great, very attentive. We never had to wait for anything. Very positive experience overall.
Also really appreciated the location. After eating there, we walked around the downtown area, and stopped at the Marble Slab for ice cream. Also highly recommend that, especially Salted Caramel Cake
Our server, Alexis, was friendly and prompt. We were a group of six, and our table was comfortable and we didn’t feel crowded. The ambiance was relaxing. The buffet and soup were fantastic!
The food was ahhhmazing and the service was fantastic. Wonderful outdoor dining opportunity in a lively location. This may just be my new favorite in downtown Greenville!
sunday brunch was fabulous. the variety on the buffet was great
We ate at your Sunday brunch, could have had a little more variety of food, perhaps some seafood like smoked salmon, even a white fish filet. A little pricey for what our selections were.
Do not bypass this spot because it part of a hotel, food selection was varied, prepared well and exceptional in taste, I had the scallops and give the chef a 5* rating. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, will return to other great items on menu.
The food was very good. I gave service 3 stars because of the slowness of the bar service. It was unacceptably slow. The wait staf was not as attentive as it could have been, but without knowing the number of servers per capital, it’s hard to give an accurate review. Overall, it was a nice evening.
So appreciate the Vegan and Vegetarian options!!!!!!!!!
They're DELICIOUS!!!!!
Colleagues in from Mexico
Great .........loved it
Second time here in two weeks...thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Yellowfin Tuna with rice and curry and veggies was spicy, delicious and more than enough food. Drinks are reasonably priced. We will be back!
Great location, limited menu. Huge portions, but kind of bland. Good for quick bite before an event at The Well b/c of location. Not impressed with menu or taste of food.
We went for the Friday breakfast buffet. There were a lot of choices and the food was delicious. Very clean and good service.
It was slow.
Great selection of favorite and unexpected brunch items.
Roost has authentic farm fresh cuisine in a casual relaxed atmosphere. The Roost Burger is top notch and is easily the best burger in the upstate. Highly recommend the Roost for any occasion.
great meal
Always good. Sad to see parking validation go.
