Best brunch in Greenville. Always fresh, always consistent.
Went for Sunday Brunch. Outstanding value for the price and the food was excellent.
Absolutely fantastic food. Huge portions. I would definitely eat here again.
Highly recommend Sunday Brunch at Roost. Incredible selection of foods for a very reasonable price. A number guests at our table ordered made-to-order omelettes and loved them. The made-to-order waffles are beyond good - light fluffy and crispy on the outside. Will definitely go back.
Headed to Roost with another couple and we were seated in a booth which made it very inconvenient with the buffer being offered at the time of our arrival. We should have asked to be moved to a table. The buffet was limited and unkept. The waffle was good and the omelet average. I would not go back for brunch with so many other options.
The food was excellent and the service (Thomas and Melanie) was outstanding! They made our night!
New Years Eve
Thanks for having multiple vegan menu entrees. Thanks for them not being pasta. We are pleased our server understood vegan.
Underwhelmed. Dined at Roost once before and never returned. But based on Open Table raves and the passage of time, tried again for lunch. No improvement. No idea why OT claims this is one of Greenville's best -- leads us to wonder if those reviews are biased. Meal just OK, service adequate but brought out wrong order, seats shredded and torn. In dire need of refurbishing.
Just another tired hotel restaurant. What's the point, when there are so many wonderful lunch and dinner options in Greenvillle?
Very bad bar food. It’s part of the hotel and unfortunately on Main St. any other place is a better option
Bison Ribs is the start of the Menu!!! Great Job!!!
Bryant H. Was wonderful and we loved the food.
Not on a holiday. Sorry, regardless of how hard the staff and servers worked it was a little too zooey. I will and would go during a "normal" day but I'm afraid that holidays are just not the way to go and the $40 per person (+ tip, of course) was stretching the value$$$$.
This was my husband's second outing using a scooter. Staff was very helpful in getting us seated in a comfortable area. It was a busy time yet the nice employee spent time seeing that we were well treated. Thank you. The buffet was good
Christmas Day buffet. The food offered was excellent! I especially like the collards. Prime Rib was tasty. Great Variety!
Overall it was good, but the prime rib was tough and they didn't offer turkey. I would have liked ham carved from a whole ham rather than what was served. The potatoes and vegetables were delicious and so were the breakfast items with the exception of a very dry spinach and cheese omelet that had been sitting for a while. Seafood table was great, too.
Christmas Day lunch! Thank you for the amazing buffet. I ate until I couldn’t breathe. Cannot wait until next year.
Went for Christmas Brunch. The presentation was nice and price reasonable for a holiday, but not for any other time. Plenty of food to chose from with lots of variety. Food was good, but just not great. If one word described the food it would be typical. Flavors weren't bad, just nothing special or different from any other place where one might find the same things. Totally adequate, just expected something a little more from an upscale hotel restaurant, especially on a holiday.
We went for the Christmas buffet and it was amazing, the food was outstanding. The selection was beyond our expectations. Our server was very attentive, explained everything to us (as there were several serving stations), and couldn’t have been nicer.
I hadn’t been to this restaurant for several years, and was pleased at how they’ve enlarged it and added a wonderful and comfortable ambiance. I look forward to returning again!
Christmas Eve. One of a few restaurants open but that was not the downfall. We expected better ambiance for the area. It was more like a diner atmosphere. Brightly lit and loud. The service and food were good.
Wonderful Christmas Eve dinner! I had the fish special, which was a grilled Mahi Mahi on a yellow dirty rice with sausage and bacon and grilled asparagus. My husband had the pork chops, which he also loved. We also had the Butcher's Block (charcuterie) as an appetizer. All around fabulous dinner!
Great place to celebrate a birthday! Great craft beer selection too!
We were looking forward to our 10:30 reservation and when we got there for our 10:30 reservation we were told that because of low occupancy at the Hyatt, breakfast service ended at 10:30 and lunch would start at 11:30. I had family in from out of town with two small toddlers and a great grandmother. They told us we were welcomed to come back in an hour (at 11:30). If I had wanted 11:30, I would have made the reservation for then. Roost has always had great service and customer care. I’ve felt like to them this was no big deal, but to me it was a major disappointment. Also, why didn’t someone call me to let me know my 10:30 reservation would not be available? I confirmed through open table the evening before that we would be coming. We drove into Greenville from Simpsonville in the pouring rain with a party of 8. I just thought you should know how very dissatisfied were are.
Meats were great. Pasta and soup were awful. Service was wonderful.
We had no wait time to be seated, service was great, and food was delicious.
Food was fantastic! Server was excellent!
Good food, good convenient setting right on Main St in the Hyatt. Perfect for coming down to see all the Christmas trees in the Hyatt lobby. A tradition we do every year.
Sadly, this was our first bad experience with Roost. We went for our 14th Anniversary. The food was, frankly, awful. We had the fried chicken and sage dumplings and the meatloaf. Both were dry, overcooked and not worth the price we paid. Our server was great, no reflection on him. I emailed Roost about our experience and haven’t gotten a response yet. We’ve had great experiences here in the past, so we will back. Hopefully it was an off night, it’s just unfortunate that it cost us $100+.
The breakfast buffet is amazing
Best in town
The food is always delicious as the service is top notch.
We had a wonderful time. I had the NY strip with potatoes and asparagus which was wonderful. My wife had the smoked pork plate with sharp cheddar Mac and Cheese which she really enjoyed. Our server was excellent, making sure that we did not lack anything without being overbearing. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.
had a lunch reservation for four adults and they sat us next to a waiters stand. Weird with a reservation so asked to be moved. Waiter messed up one of the orders so three of us were almost done with lunch when he got his..Waiter said his entree was $2 more than the one he screwed up and pointed out on the bill he did not charge us the $2. Big deal! Food was decent and the place was not crowded. Other places in Greenville are better and probably not go back.
Good selection including breakfast items. Although I am a vegan, there were sufficient items on the buffet for me. My daughter, wife and grandson enjoyed everything.
Had the thanksgiving buffet. Food was good and lots of options. Although they seemed to have a lot of staff present they were a bit disorganized. Had to wait on a table although we had a reservation because people hadn’t vacated tables they were expecting to have empty. Had to remind them a couple times we were still waiting. Kitchen ran out of some buffet items although they had reservations for several more hours. Bathroom looked messy with no one checking on it.
Best (and most reasonably priced) brunch in Greenville!
Everything was good except the dressing. It was awful. It was very dry and hard to swallow. All other food was top notch.
Food was great as always. Service seemed some better than usual and the food selection was more on the thanksgiving meal we attended.
Love the Sunday Brunch and happy to share with friends! Wonderful cuisine and service. Thanks so much!
