We had a Gift Certificate (lucky us!). We used to vacation in this area for many years. Visited Roost many times. Moved to Ogunquit a year ago and have had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner a few times. Also have enjoyed the bakery. It is a great place all around!!🌟

NY food Brat. Loved it. Very nice setting, service was spot on and very friendly. 10 stars. Found you on Open Table and laughed when I saw someone give you 3 stars, good JA stay home. Our meal could not have been prepared any better. Thank you and we will be back

We stopped by the Roost Café for breakfast on NYE and decided to make dinner reservations for that night. We are so glad we did! Great food, beautiful setting and friendly and attentive staff. They even accommodated my request to sit near a fire place.

“Around the World Wednesday” Mexico menu was wonderful and unique in this area. We had an early supper and were alone until just before leaving at 7:00 PM. Don’t overlook this sweet spot in Ogunquit.

We have been here many times. The owners are so nice and the restaurant has great ambiance. Bar area is fun to eat in with the high top tables.
Excellent food & drinks, excellent service. We are never disappointed. Worth going!

We loved the ambiance, and the service was good, but the food was mediocre. Of course, we only had 1 selection of appetizer (avocado fried) which were relatively bland, salad which was good, and pad thai which was just fair. Sorry.

Delicious food from start to finish...everything on the dinner and dessert menu sounded fabulous! The gnocchi and lobster app was outstanding! Cocktails were fresh and not too sweet. Save room for dessert! they have their own bakery in house and it's all delicious, including the bread they start you off with. Pace yourself! The service was very friendly, although it did take a while for drinks and food to come out. We had a reservation for 7 and sat right away, and were there until 9, which was fine with us. Just be aware in case you have a time constraint. We will definitely be back. Can seat yourself at the bar and dine there also.

I never like to leave just ok reviews for restaurants unless I have been there a few times. Needless to say, this was our first time at Roost. The food was very good, but the service was extremely slow. I'm not too sure if they were short staffed, but it took us almost 2 1/2 hours to eat from beginning to end. The food was very good though, so we might give it another try some other time.

First of all, we were 30 minutes early and they were able to accommodate us. hey were so nice! We had a show to go to and everything came out on time and we even were able to relax since they sat us early. The only BUMMER was that they served very endangered fish and farmed salmon. So, if your worried about the Earth like I am, there are limited selections.

Unfortunately our waitess, according to her, "did not work there", and it was obvious. Service was terrible, absent waitess, bill was wrong. Food was excellent but service ruined the experience.

Entree's were excellent. Both husband and I had sweet and sour salmon over Chinese fried rice and it was delicious. Bread served before entrees was also delicious. Bar however needs work. Had to return cocktail twice because it was not made properly (I think they forgot a key ingredient) so settled for wine instead plus it took a very long time for initial drinks to arrive and was told bar was very busy and backed up. Bill was also incorrect, charged us for 1 of the 2 drinks that were returned, it was corrected but now find 2 charges billed to credit card for dinner. Waiter worked hard and was a pleasure. Would have been wonderful without mess ups so will go back next time in Ogunquit and try again.

The restaurant has a private parking lot which is nice in Ogunquit. We were greeted immediately and seated with out reservation. We were given a nice quiet corner table. The decor is like a summer camp or cabin with cloth tablecloths on the tables like you were at grandmas house. There was plenty of room even for a big man such as myself. Our Server whose name I forgot to write down was very busy but superb. The clam chowder was very good although not as thick as I personally like. We tried the New York strip and lamb loin for our meal and both were perfectly cooked. The grilled asparagus was just right. When we ordered dessert, the server had not been told that they no longer served ice cream with the brownie once summer is over but when I asked her to check and see if they had any hiding somewhere she immediately went to the kitchen and came back with a scoop of vanilla that made my wife very happy. We were very thankful for her extra effort and for the restaurant to find and serve that to us. We will visit again as this was a good experience. They also got us in and out in plenty of time to get to our show at the playhouse.

Varied and interesting menu - I wanted to try everything on it! I went with the short ribs which were excellent. The sides of grits and swish chard were delicious as well. The waiter was pleasant, but extremely slow. We waited 50 minutes from sitting down until food arrived. No bread was offered. Nice decor and atmosphere.

Good service but too pricey for what you get. We dine out a lot and don't mind paying for a good meal with a decent portion. My husband had the scallops. Three large scallops - $30.00. Not worth it. This is not a fine dining establishment. Spend your money elsewhere.

Very disappointing. Short staffed, disorganized, rude employees, and not appetizing food. We waited for our table at the bar for a drink and the bartender was not personable or welcoming and was complaining about it being his first day on the job. No one wants to hear that when they are trying to enjoy a night out. When we were seated at our table it took the waitstaff 30 minutes to return with drink order and another 45 minutes to return with the meal that was lukewarm and not good. The waiter appeared to be disinterested in serving us. I will not return and would not recommend.
