   I’ve been here a few times for the view and easy parking. Food is not special. Yesterday I had an octopus appetizer on their specials menu. It was so tough that I couldn’t chew it. They did not know how to cook it and the price was outrageous for the portion had it been good. I sent it back and ordered the tuna tartar salad. A ton of lettuce overwhelmed the tuna. The value isn’t there. Too bad. They need to do better.

   Everything was wonderful…from the time were seated until we were finished. Our server was very attentive and stopped to check on us often, and the food was very good. We will be back on our next trip to Long Branch.

    Rooney's always satisfied. The food is uniformly excellent, and no matter how busy they are the service is always fast and professional. A Jersey Shore gem!

    We sat outside but under a roof with fans blowing above us on an 85 degree day.. It was comfortable and the view was beautiful. The service was impeccable. The food was very, very good. We had a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their food very much. We were there for lunch. My husband loves seafood and I hate it, but the lunch menu gave us both good options. I see the dinner menu is not as varied. I am sure they would be happy to comply with any requests though, so we are going to go there for dinner soon. Loved it there.

    A beautiful place, sitting with the open dining room and the ocean breeze was relaxing and lovely watching the sunset. The staff goes beyond nice and really cares, even as you walk thru dining room to go to restroom, they are attentive. Its nice to be out with people again and for a special treat we got to watch a young couple get engaged! Everyone applauded and cheered. So good to out with people again and to feel normal.

    Food, service, and atmosphere was awesome! They do have a parking lot which is helpful. If using gps, put in the actual address. Our gps took us to Pier Village which is not the correct location.

    Rooneys has an ocean view, delicious food and a pleasing staff. There is inside, outside, and outside outside seating. And no thats not a typo there are 3 different areas to sit and dine. There is also a full bar inside and even drinks (water) for pups along the boardwalk. It is my go to restaurant by the ocean.

    We went on a busy Saturday night in the summer. Our reservations were ready for us when we got there. Our waitress was nice, not overly friendly friendly, but it was very busy. She kept on top of every thing for us. The food was good, but the small amount you got on some of the dishes was disappointing for the money.

    We had a wonderful lunch at Rooney’s on the recommendation of our neighbor to celebrate our son’s High School graduation. The service and food were excellent, while the ambiance and views are indeed phenomenal. We will definitely return.

    Lovely place, good food. I would say that considering the expense ($40+ fish entrees), the plating is kind of drab. If their presentation was better, I’d have no criticism at all.

    Our waiter was awful but the food was good. I requested a vegetable substitution but he was unwilling - stating that the chef/restaurant won’t make any changes. I have NEVER been refused a change in vegetable… (I requested spinach instead of Brussels Sprouts). So disappointing…

    The restaurant is beautiful and the food is amazing. We decided to visit the place after a day at the beach thinking it was the best choice. Unfortunately, we felt that our waiter Jimmy G didn’t give us the treatment any guest deserves. He did not mention the specials of the day, he never brought us bread to the table, and never asked us if everything was ok. My girlfriend and I felt a different treatment compared to other tables around us. Besides that, I would recommend this restaurant, it has a magnificent view and very tasty food.

    First time here. We had a reservation for 6pm but when we got there, table wasn’t ready so we had to wait which I thought was weird cause whats the point of reservations then. Food was good, view was great. Had to flag our server as we were running out of water vs server checking on us. Restaurant was good but - service needs a little improvement to make it all better.

    The restaurant was very good, food and service. There was a table of 10 to 12, and they kept yelling louder and louder. Then a couple of the ladies that were yelling were using foul language! At that table they also had a toddler which I think was not correct talking like that with a young child there. I think that is unacceptable. We had a hard time we hearing the waiter speak to us and we barely about to hear each other. We were going to say something to management but then didn't. The hostess asked when we were leaving if we enjoyed and said yes but other patrons were yelling and using foul language, and being inconsiderate to other patrons. Other tables were looking at that table also.

    We went to Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant for an early Father's Day dinner. It did not disappoint. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The food was delicious, our server was helpful with food suggestions and very attentive without being obtrusive. We had a nice relaxing dinner, a perfect way to celebrate Father's Day.
