I’ve eaten here several times and it never disappoints. Great food, drink, and service.

Bartenders very attentive & accommodating. Waitresses always checking on us & knowledgeable. Food was great but Brussel sprouts soggy not crisp didn’t even take but 2 bites. Ahi nachos amazing & pretzel bites. Loved cucumber/grapefruit martini w agave.

When we arrived they did not have our reservation. Apparently they app doesn’t always work for them.

It was very disappointing this time. One person ordered the “lobster Mac n cheese” it came out almost cold and it did not have lobster. They had used imitation crab instead of actually using lobster. It tasted like velveta shells and cheese. We were sat at an awkward location. The table was not big enough and we were on a sofa. It made it very difficult to eat dinner. Usually this place is great, but this time it was under par for sure. The waitress was not very attentive which isn’t normal either. We must have just hit a bad night there.

They said they could not find our reservation through Open Table. They accommodated us but said we had to be gone in two hours so the next reservation wasn’t impacted. Too many college kids and way too loud especially for 5:30 pm. I just wanted to tell the staff that I guarantee we tip better then 10 students trying to split a bill 10 ways. Won’t be back until school is over for the year.

We always have great time when we go to ROOM 38 and love the drinks and food!!!

Finally found a parking space within several blocks of the restaurant and fed the meter. Walked to the restaurant, arriving probably 10 minutes before our 6pm reservation. Was informed by the hostess that she did not have a reservation for us. She told us the entire restaurant had been rented out for an event. We were told by Open Table that someone would contact us beforehand if they needed to change the time. We never heard from anyone either by phone or email. The restaurant did seem to be loud and a bit disorganized. We left and walked about a block to Sycamore Restaurant and had a very pleasant, quiet meal.

We had great service and fantastic dinner!

We love this place and eat here every time we are in Columbia, MO! I don't even eat sandwiches; but the Chicken Asiago is to die for!

Too loud and poor hostess. Waited forever just to speak to the hostess and then said it would be over an hour before they could seat us.

Very strange layout inside. Few real tables to sit at. VERY loud. Food was really good and waitress was attentive. Do NOT order the Funnel Cake for dessert. Instead of being light and fluffy it was burned and just overly too much, which is not good if I say it because I'm a dessert junkie. Should have sent it back but after a long, hot day at the game and the blaring music and drunks in the bar didn't want to stay any longer than we had to.

Even though we didn't have to wait when we got there, they did not receive the open table reservation even though I had a confirmation. Not sure if this was a restaurant or open table issue. It was crowded since it was happy hour but we did have to wait a while for a few things. Food and atmosphere were great. Definitely a trend spot.

Food was amazing. Tables were very uncomfortable. Noise level was NOT for a friendly time; more of a bar setting. Waitresses needed more clothing on. Our waitress did NOT want us sitting around to talk when we were done with our food. It was clear she wanted us out of the restaurant. Food was very good, but atmosphere was not good at all.

I had brunch there. It was delicious and a great experience.

We arrived at 10am and our reservation wasn't in the system. Otherwise the food and atmosphere is normally very good.

They did not have my reservation on their books. They said that Yelp was their primary online reservation co. I had an email reservation from OPenTable which I showed them. They were able to seat us.

We showed up early and they could not have been more accommodating. They went above and beyond to help make my daughter's graduation dinner on a very icy, stressful day completely hassle free. The food was awesome too! Excellent experience all around.

I have enjoyed the food and cocktails in the past at Room 38, but be aware they do not honor Open Table reservations. On the morning of Oct 31,2016 I made a dinner reservation for November 11 for 6:45. Later that day, Oct 31, I changed the time to 7:00. I have confirmation emails confirming. My group arrived at 7, to be told they did not have that reservation noted. After showing my email confirmation, was then told my reservation was for 5:00. I'm not sure how the reservation is entered in their system, but there was no way I made the reservation for 5:00 because I was attending an event at 5:30, prior to dinner. I was asked if I made the reservation on Open Table and the staff just shrugged when I said yes, after showing my email confirmation. If they do not honor the reservation, they should opt out of Open Table. They were unable to seat us, so we went to 44 Canteen and had a lovely dinner, after a bit of a wait.

Our experience was good but they didn't have our reservation that I booked thru open table and we had to eat at the bar. So that sucked but the bartender was sweet!

We had a wonderful time visiting Room 38 and thought the service to be excellent. They absolutely honored our OpenTable reservation and even read the requests section. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails. The seating is different, but really cool and cozy. The servers were stylish and attentive. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I made a reservation at Room 38 for my friends visiting from Omaha. I ended up calling Room 38 to see if I could push the reservation back just a bit, and they were super accommodating! They even gave me my favorite round booth in the back. The happy hour here is great, especially for their sharing plates. Once again, Room 38 came through and I will continue to bring any visitors to this cool side-street joint in Columbia!

Be AWARE! This reservation will not hold at Room 38. 10 minutes before we were to be seated I received a call from the restaurant stating that they DO NOT actually use Open Table and would not honor the reservation. They were full up! Our plans (a reserved table) were down the drain! NOT COOL

Consistently good food and great happy hour specials!

Food was great. Unique grapefruit sangria nice and refreshing.

Blueberry Singe is a great cocktail.

Thai chili ribs, shrimp Diablo grits and beef and blue salad all incredible.

We made dinner reservations for a group we had in for graduation the following day. We wanted a dining experience where we could have good food and good conversation. Our reservation was for 7pm. We arrived at 6:50. There isn't a host stand, and the tables were either high tops or cocktail lounge areas. The music was really loud and clubbish. We tracked down an employee and found out that our table would not be freeing up for some time as the people hadn't even gotten their food yet. We stood around for a while trying to figure out what to do. It was very awkward, and very loud. A hostess informed us that one of the cocktail lounge areas would be clearing very soon and we could have that space. She was very nice and helpful but we declined as neither the table nor the ambiance worked for us. We have heard that the food is pretty good so we may try it as a late night post concert location at some point. But for dinner and conversation a different location is a better option. I had to put Stars on the rating scale so I went with what my daughter's experience had been during a previous visit.

Room 38 can be hit or miss. I was a little disappointed on my previous visit but they recovered well last night. I had the bahm mi flatbread which was amazing.

I frequent Room 38 and brunch on Sunday's is a MUST! $10 bottomless mimosas with amazing service! With several different types of spicy vodkas to choose from, Bloody Mary's are exceptional.
Even after they stop servicing brunch, if you still want Mimosas they allow you to sit and hangout in a back room! Hilarious but great!

They called me a few minutes before my reservation and told me they wouldn't have a table for me for at least an hour and a half. Apparently their computer system doesn't work with OpenTable, so be forewarned if that's how you made your reservation.

This is a great find in como. Outstanding appetizers (crab wonton). Chicken lettuce wraps and lobster mac were great dinner options

Consistently great food and service. The happy hour specials are reasonable and it's a fun atmosphere.

Everything taste excellent!!!!!

We got the beet and goat cheese salad, which was great.
The entrées we small (beef steak), a little soggy (fried shrimp), and a little over cooked and dry (burger).
We were alone in the restaurant so noise was not existing. The ambience is great and we liked the setup.
Service was prompt and courteous.
We enjoyed the overall experience, despite the entrées slips.

Very Good. Yelp reviews must be a joke, because the food was excellent, local beer on tap, and the waitstaff was fantastic. On par with what you would find in a Boston or San Francisco.

This is a well-appointed bar, nicely lit, with great service and a good bartender. It's not really a place for a real dinner, I'm afraid.

I was looking for a new place to take a date and found Room 38. It looked just eclectic and sophisticated enough for what I was after. We were dressed up and we weren't out of place. The place is young, vibrant but still sophisticated. The food was excellent. Served neuvo-tapas style, its perfect for date sharing. We tried a flight of wines that included German, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish wines. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time and skipped our movie to enjoy more wine and good conversation. Wait staff was educated and opinionated. Attentive, but not overly so. We will definitely be back.
