Providence’s only rooftop bar and restaurant is now open year-round offering beachy & breezy atmosphere in the warm weather and a warm & cozy environment in the colder months. With unparalleled views and a casual menu with specialty cocktails, the Rooftop now features a fully enclosed but retractable glass rooftop and six fire pits that makes it possible to enjoy city skylines and starry nights every month. Rooftop’s menu offers a wide variety of small and large plates, as well as wood oven pizzas paired with an inspired craft cocktail list, seasonal beer selection, and thoughtful wine list. With its perch seven stories up in the center of downtown, the views are awe inspiring from all angles year round.

Great fun to be able to sit outside, even in cold weather, next to a beautiful fire pit. The live music inside, though very good, was too loud for conversation. The food was very good, tasty and lovely presentation, but varied a great deal in serving size. And the kitchen was unusually slow. All in all, my out of town guests were pleased with the experience.

My first time at the Roof top Providence, I purposely picked a Sunday night knowing the Patriots would be on so my wife and I literally had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The staff was professional and Friendly and the food was okay. The menu is pricey check the menu out before you come. The bottle wine 🍷 was great the fire 🔥 and view was awesome. I would highly recommend this spot.

The view was nice we didn’t know if we could reserve the fire pit table, until we got there and asked and they were already reserved. That should have been an option during booking other than that a cool place definitely needs some new music

I had better food at a poolside. It was not worth the money and there was a bad smell not sure where it was coming from. I will never eat there again.

Pluses: fun, outdoor scene. The sushi dish we shared was fine. The wine list is expensive, complete with many bottles of very expensive options (e.g., champagnes for $600-$1,000/bottle).
Mixed: We'd read that the drinks are better than the food, and that was certainly our experience.
Minuses: We were disappointed in the lobster pizza, which had very little lobster, an "off" taste," and a high price, to boot. The arugula salad was all right, though it could have used a bit of something extra (salt? pepper? none supplied on the table). Our waitress seemed indifferent to the serious allergy we mentioned for one person in our party, and she served appetizers & main courses all at the same time--we guessed that she was probably trained to pay more attention to drinks than to food dishes.
Bottom line: this would be a fun destination for a group looking to share an enjoyable evening over drinks. Don't go with high expectations for an actual meal.

Definitely a unique experience and ambiance, but go for the atmosphere and not the food or service. We honestly waited over an hour for our drinks, and even after complaining the service didn’t improve. The place wasn’t that busy on a weeknight and there were other servers. The truffle fries were pretty good, albeit string thin fries and the other food we ordered was less than appetizing. The prices are pretty high but that’s likely intentional to keep a certain type of customer since it’s not terribly big.

We arrived and were sat quickly. We told our server would be a minute or so and he walked by our table about eight times to three other tables he was already serving. Didn’t say he would be with us or even bring us waters until we had been there about 10 minutes and then brought water when we ordered drinks and I asked. Maybe he was spread thin or tired. Not sure. He wasn’t overly engaging and didn’t strike me as the outgoing type.
We started with the truffle fries which were delicious. We split Korean tacos and lobster pizza. To tacos were good not great. Not a ton of flavor like I expect from pork belly. The lobster pizza however was fantastic.
Overall I think the experience is fun the space is great good drinks tho slightly over priced since there was ice in my wine glass(? I don’t know why but I also didn’t question it). The food I would give an overall 8/10 for what we tried and it was quick despite the fact that they were still busy for our 8pm res. The space I would give a 10 as it is pretty cool and they do a nice job with decor and atmosphere. Service for this experience id give a 6/10. Not terrible but not that great either. I felt more burdensome then anything for this guy.

We were very disappointed by the food and the service at Rooftop at Providence G. What was served on our plates was not what the menu described and the portions were small for the prices. The meals were missing flavors/ingredients like the sweet pea risotto made with regular frozen peas. Not fresh sweet peas despite being in season.

Good for drinks and good for views. Skip the food.

Attentive staff.
Drinks were average.
Enjoyable and comfortable 'communal' seating at fire pit.
Pleasant live piano music on this nite.
Limited menu...needs more finger food options that are healthy.
Disappointed in carpaccio pizza...crust was plain white dough that was barely cooked and there weren't enough pieces of carpaccio for each slice of pizza (total of 2oz).

While there was a slight glitch with our reservation time, the sofa by the fireplace was the perfect location to wind down our bachelorette party. The servers made it fun and even got in on a picture with us. I had struggled to figure out a bachelorette party that would be fun and appropriate for minors (the bride's younger sisters) and this place was great for the two hours we were able to spend relaxing, chatting, and dancing. I definitely recommend for any event!

Our waitress was too busy flirting with the guys at the table behind us to give us good service. Also it’s not the best place for a sit down dinner with more than four people. They offer to sit you at these couches which are uncomfortable to eat at because you have to bend forward. It wouldn’t have been too big of a problem but I am 7 months pregnant and it was hard to enjoy the food.. Similar to eating a meal at your couch and coffee table.

I was disappointed in Rooftop G. I had called week before requesting sitting with fire pit and was told by Dan it wouldn’t be issue. When we arrived nothing had been noted of the request. They ended getting us what I requested after other reservation didn’t show up. The security/bouncers are rude and one of them came to our Section after 10:30pm and told us to leave as other party is waiting for table we were at. Same bouncer said it was 3rd time they told us to leave which it had been first time he asked. It was first time and last time I will go there. Drinks overpriced and watered down.

Great place, first time there for dinner. Food good sushi and appetizers good, entree’s a bit limited. All made good by amazing service from our Waiter Mike...he was fantastic. Seats round the fire pits as the temperature drops are a must and make for a great feature for a night with friends or family.

We really enjoyed our drinks and appetizers! The service was exceptional, the drinks were very unique and the apps hit the spot.

The music (two piece piano, steel drum and vocals) made us feel like we were on a great cruise.

The view of watching the sun set on Providence was worth braving the slightly chilly air!

Let’s do it again!
